Got a quote I couldn't afford to fix the AC on my 2016 from the dealership that they said would take about 4-5 days to fix. It was almost the end of the day and given the details I shared with them they gave me a rough estimate that was about 1/3 less than the dealership. Got it there right before they closed. Diagnosed in less than 10 minutes and got it done before noon the next day. Whaaat?! Also the final price was lower than what they estimated. AC works better than ever and it came with a lifetime warranty where the dealership said 1 year. I watched them handling everyone the same way. For all who are looking to use lv Discount Auto Repair steer clear. They were formerly Leavitt's Auto https://www.yelp.com/biz/leavitts-auto-care-las-vegas They have rebranded and moved as lv Discount Auto Repair. The Red Chevy IROC Z28 in their photos IS MINE. I do NOT / DID NOT authorize the use of these pictures to promote their crap business. Originally I took the vehicle to RUDY at Leavitt's Auto to diagnose and resolve an overheating problem. I asked for a compression test to be performed to diagnose a potential head gasket issue - which Rudy (owner) said came back fine. Spent the next year and more chasing down the overheating. Only to return it everytime it overheated there after (at least 5) - Only to be told in the very END that it was a HEAD GASKET!!! So I paid for the new head gasket - and for the heads to be "Sent out to a machine shop for evaluation and resurfacing" They were never evaluated/resurfaced ONLY Re installed. The ONLY thing they did was slap new head gaskets on. I know this because I have since HAD THE HEADS PULLED AND INSPECTED by a reputable mechanic. They were never resurfaced, never serviced (new seals/compression test/valve inspection) which I has now ACTUALLY been performed, and paid for AGAIN. Due to the length of time they had the car, and Continued Heating Issues I decided to stop by unannounced while they had it for the Head Gasket repair to see them in their natural habitat. As I pull up to the shop, I notice my vehicle parked in the bay door and it's missing the Exterior Fuel Door. "Strange I thought to myself, why are the messing with my gas tank?" Come to find out they had damaged my vehicle on the lift. (THIER ADMISSION ONCE I CAUGHT THEM) Not only did the not tell me, they tried to hide it by performing self bondo on my ground effects, and using my fuel door to "Match the paint" They were in the process of painting their crap Bondo attempt of my ground effects when I walked in.......Its the ONLY reason I found out, because they were caught Red Handed - no pun intended! Their natural habitat is cool - BECAUSE THEY ARE SHADY In addition to the Crap Bondo they tried to pass off on my ground effects, they also damaged my Oil pan, and attempted to Bondo (or JB Weld can't tell which) and then proceeded spray paint over that as well. FYI the spray paint didn't just go on the Oil pan. It went on the starter, Transmission Lines, Brackets, among other components which you couldn't see until it was back up on a lift. In addition to the oil pan, they damaged multiple other points under the vehicle which have only since been found by the new mechanic i.e damage to exhaust, muffler hanger snapped, dented floorboards etc. The vehicle has ONLY 56K original miles on it! The car never leaked a day in its life. Only 3 owners..... with a relative being the second owner and me the third. I have all dealer stickers, service documentation for the life of the vehicle, as well as original owner manuals/books - I KNOW THE LIFE STORY OF THIS VEHICLE. When my vehicle was returned it leaked a lake of oil every time I started it. RUDY CORNEJO - LEAVITT'S AUTO/ LV DISCOUNT AUTO ruined my vehicle! In the end I was charged over 7K$ for all work. As you can imagine I was never going to take it back to these hacks to "fix" the oil leak - God forbid my car get totaled while they had it. So I sourced another reliable mechanic, who specializes in classic vehicles. The list of things I was charged for but were NEVER completed is astounding - New Spark Plugs (never changed) - New Air Filter (never changed) - Oil Change (never changed) - Intake manifold gasket (never changed - reused old, and added RTV) - Plenum gaskets (never changed - reused) - Heads Serviced (never serviced) Im paying AGAIN to actually have all of this done, which is all parts that are removed when doing HEAD GASKETS. DON'T GO HERE. I used LEAVITT'S back in the day when Jim Leavitt owned it - Respectable, Reliable. Do not look at Leavitt's / or any LINK they have to Lv Discount Auto and think their reviews represent THIS shop. That is NOT THIS SHOP. Over 4k in work to fix oil leaks, my steering column, and my door lock. My door lock is extremely loose, I have e to jiggle my shifter to make sure it locks in place to start correctly and I'm still leaking oil everywhere. They won't honor there work and will eventually stop answering your phone calls. They also tried to take my money and the insurance claim money when my van was broken into. That's crazy on the last bad review. I had my lifters replaced there on my 5.7 L hemi I paid the exact amount. The quote was when the job was done. The owner son told me to hit him back up for the paperwork later and he would email it to me a couple hours later I asked for the paperwork and he told me that I still had a balance to pay that they did mess up on the quote that is not my problem. It's their problem. A few months later my engine is tapping way worse than it was real talk. took my vehicle in for an 0-2 sensor and timing belt. Was told the check engine light would be reset and the truck would be checked out before they would return t to me. Was contacted and advised to replace the belts- cost estimate was 149.00 Told the owner I thought this was high for three belts( not serpentine) since they had to take the belts off to replace the timing belt anyway. He put the old belts back on- I later purchased three belts for 45.00 When I picked the truck up, the check engine light was still on. Was told the owner would contact me and fix this since he had stated they would take care of this after they replaced the 0-2 sensor. Never received a call. Not going back to this shop.
