Safe touch Tampa, Duray of Safe Touch was very professional, thorough, and attempted to resolve our problem, spent plenty of time trying to resolve our issues. However, it was a system issue or product that could not be resolved. Today we had Jeff and Jim come to install a new complete system. They were both very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The install went smoothly, and I am totally grateful to Eric Hysler, Duray, Jeff and Jim for updating us to a new system. Jeff actually ran late on his next job since he spent a good portion of time with the installation and then explaining on how to use the new digital pad and how to use the new system. We have been very satisfied with Safe Touch service as a customer for over 12 years with Safe touch and will be now for another 3 years at least. I would highly recommend Safe touch as your alarm company. They go above and beyond the call of duty to make a customer feel wanted which is a rare quality these days. Robert Ste Update 12/30/24 Today I contacted Safe touch Technical Support because our new updated system was not beeping when closing only when you open something. Justin Wickliffe was our technical support specialist. He guided us through making payments online via our desktop and also managing our panel via alarm.com. They updated our system while we were on the phone. Next thing I knew our system had updated and now when closing a door or window it speaks door closed and beeps as well. Problem and question answered. Justin resolved all of our issues, and we could not be happier with our service and upgraded system. Thank you, Justin you are an asset to the company. We've had this service since about 2019. Started off ok. Then started declining. Batteries started going out. Which of course weren't covered. Not to mention a service call fee. Then the hard sell to upgrade whenever we needed our system serviced. We were told our particular system was a bit outdated. Great sales pitch by the way. Everyone loves to hear that all the money they've spent was basically for an outdated system! Finally, when we were just fed up enough to cancel, we did. Called them and told them that we were canceling. OF COURSE, here came the hard sell again! When we said we weren't interested and just wanted to cancel.... She then proceeded to tell us, " I'm sorry but we can't except your cancellation over the phone ". WTF!!!!! So we had to email them to say we wanted to cancel. Now I ask you, is this a customer served based company?? I surely don't think so. I understand it's a business. But thank you for wasting more of my time!! I guess , since they made us wait for every service call every time, wasn't enough. Plus the "window " of the service calls, just wasn't enough. They had to waste more of our time yet again. I have newly signed a contract with Safe Touch Security and I am already regretting it. Days after installation one of the sensors started chiming because of a low battery. I contacted Safe Touch Security about the low battery and was made to believe I was hearing things or it couldn't be their system as they showed normal battery levels from their control panel. I was told they would take a note, and to call back later. The chiming continued, and eventually I happened to be next to control panel this time. I went through the settings and was able to reproduce the exact same chime. So it called back and told them the details and they still acted like I was in the wrong, and weren't going to send out a technician to actually fix what they are contractually obligated to fix. It took writing a negative review for them to actually respond. All they care about it is getting you to sign the contract and then *poof* any customer support disappears. Call them and they treat you like you are lying. Avoid like the plague. read more

I Love the alarm system and monitoring but be Very Aware ...IF YOU NEED SEVICE THIER RESPONSE TIME IS TERRIBLE! I have tried twice to get service and the service window is TWO WEEKS TO GET A TECH OUT to my house!... My parents have safe touch and had the same problem!! Just a word of caution what good is a system if it's not working properly and you have to jump through hoops and wait this long for service!!!!!! read more

Cancelled within the 3 day time period allowed because after contract and PAYMENT the tech could not complete the job. Was here 6 hours during which time he placed 2 doorbells neither of which worked and drilled a hole into my house but no cameras where placed. They could not complete the job as planned and no satisfactory alternative could be found. The tech has my original doorbell and needs to patch the hole in my house. I've called twice without any follow through and I don't have confidence the doorbell will work if he ever does get it back to me because he had so much trouble trying to put in a simple doorbell with existing wiring in the first place. Just texted the salesman this morning who, of course, is passing the buck. I will be reporting them to the BBB if this isn't finished... it's already 2 weeks and NOTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. I'm sure glad I disputed my payment on my bank within the 3 day period or I'd probably be stressing over that with them also. Would not ever recommend this company EVER. They were recommended to me by a trusted friend but I've since discovered it is no longer owned by the same people thus. read more

Their commercials are funny. I guess that's all they have going for them. Once they get you signed up, they stop caring about you. I had an appointment for service. Took half a day off work. They never showed and never called. When I called, they told me the technician "notated [my] account" and my ETA was changed to outside my appointment window. Again, neither the technician nor anyone else called me about this. I had plans for the evening and now I am sitting here wondering if anyone is going to show up and my plans are ruined. When I asked the customer service agent on the phone what was going on, all she kept saying was "I'm not sure". Why are we trusting these people to protect our homes and businesses when they can't even keep simple appointments and don't even bother to call when there is a delay? read more

This company makes their money off of people who don't understand legalese. They act like they will help you but if you want to cancel services they claim that the only way to cancel is to pay for the rest of your "contract" up front. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My wife got a promotion so we had to sell our house and move. They do not service the state we live in now and will not allow us to cancel the contract with out paying it out. It's not like we wanted to move and sell our house. We had a opportunity to better our family and took now we have to pay these crooks until our contract is up. I will be writing a review every month I see the payment come out of my account until they decide to be a good company and work with people. Also my wife will be doing the same so have fun Safetouch getting double bad reviews on EVERY site possible until you make this right. I have had Safe Touch as a security system for about a year now and - although I am fairly pleased overall -it is pretty difficult to be able schedule service for any issues in a timely manner. Not a great thing for a company you are hiring to secure your home, unfortunately. I must say, however, that the tech who came to my home to service the system today - Tom- was prompt and extremely professional. He identified the issue and repaired it quickly although it was a different issues from what the service department has identified over the phone. He walked me through the features of the system to make sure I could identify any issues and said he was happy to assist with any follow-up questions I may have later. Tom is a gem! read more

Be very Weary of SafeTouch. The security system and price is right. However if you have to move or sell your home - they have absolutely no process to assist with cancellation of the service. Your only option is 1) transfer service 2) Continue to pay for service and monitoring at a home you don't own. It was clear that they are penalized if they let you cancel your service - never once offered us to just pay off our contract. They forced us to maintain service at a home we no longer owned. Their customer service team was rude, argumentative and went so far as to suggest that "we should have called them sooner". What would that have solved? There is no process to suspend and then transfer service. It was simply ridiculous - so read your contract closely - and know they do not care about you, just your monthly billing. In the end they FINALLY stated that if we paid our contract in full ( a whopping $61) we could cancel our service - but it took a lot of fighting, stress and a new home owner who will now "never sign up with them" - neither will we again..over something quite silly. SafeTouch you should lead with " your contract period lasts through xx date, your options are to: 1) Pay your contract off in full 2) transfer service to a new address 3) (create this option) temporarily suspend service and then reinstate at a new address 4) pay a cancellation fee and terminate service. I just want to share with everyone my absolutely awful experience with Safe Touch. PLEASE BEWARE and do your due diligence before considering doing business with them. I installed Safe Touch monitoring service in my home and all was fine. Paid for all my monitoring equipment upfront. This left me with just a $53 monthly monitoring service fee. I have recently moved out of state (FL to SC) and sold my home. The first thing I did was contact them and ask them if they serviced my new area. No they didn't. No big deal I thought, I'll end up paying a few months worth of early termination fees (as I did with some of the other vendors) and we'd all move on. WOW...I couldn't be further away from the truth! They told me I signed a 5 year agreement and I owed them the entire contract value....IMMEDIATELY!. I was sent to their third party collections agency with a $1,400 bill (at $53 per month you do the math on how many more months they were trying to get out of me POST cancellation of my service!). I tried to reason with their collection agency and it anything, they were even more difficult & rude....shocker I know. The option they gave me was as follows: Settle for a onetime immediate payment of $1,076 (for a monitoring service I haven't received for 6 months) OR they would send me to their attorney AND report the collection charge to my credit agencies. Really malicious activity in my opinion for a service that WASN'T being provided and for which they were NOT out of pocket. Settling for a 2-3 month, heck even 4 month, cancellation charge would have been bad enough (but tolerable for me) from Safe Touch....they however want it ALL! (THINK Bally's back in the late 90's early 2000's). They know that an attorney will cost more than the $1,076 I could pay off today to make them "go away". REALLY awful customer experience and just a completely "money grabbing" attitude in my opinion This is more than about the money to me....it's about what I perceive as their willingness to throw their old/past clients "to the wolves" to extract every last dollar they can. I strongly urge that you only work with companies that offer fair and reasonable early termination fees (get it in writing upfront), as anyone's situation can change on a dime and the last thing you want is to have to be on the receiving end of these guys aggressive hounding you for years worth of monitoring service you are not actually receiving. Just want to share this for the sake of anyone considering alarm/monitoring services in the Lake Forest/Sanford area. Thanks. read more

Safe touch should give the service man a raise (Mario) , he came out for our service call. He reprogrammed the touchpad to completely silence the alarms (ones that drove our poor dog insane). He checked everything, went over all the functions again. He was polite, professional and the only reason we will continue service for now (and not disconnect it). read more
