I had to stay here even though I found a place down the street for half the price but the way this guy treated me. Definitely coming back here!!

Worst Experience I've Ever Had With Safelite -- Completely Unprofessional…read more I've used Safelite for years, and they used to be a reliable company. After this experience, I will never use them again. I booked my first appointment on August 5th for Saturday, August 8th, and they canceled at the last minute. So I booked again for August 15th. The technician who came out -- Phillip, from the Stockton location -- showed up in his own personal vehicle, which already felt strange. He was in and out in 10 minutes, maybe 15 at the absolute longest. The chip was still clearly visible. It wasn't bigger than a nickel before, and after his "repair," it looked the same size or worse. Safelite sent a warranty technician on August 22nd, named Jabari. He immediately said the job was not done well and that the windshield probably needed to be replaced. He said someone would be sent back out. When I called the Stockton office, the manager Isaiah dismissed everything Jabari said. He told me Jabari "doesn't know what he's doing" because he's new -- which is extremely unprofessional to say about your own employee. And it makes absolutely no sense: if Jabari was supposedly "new" and "didn't know what he was doing," then why was he sent out as the warranty inspector? Why send someone inexperienced to evaluate a repair issue? The whole situation was contradictory and honestly felt like they were just making excuses. Isaiah then told me, "This is what you got," and they weren't fixing anything unless I wanted to pay a $250 deductible for a full windshield replacement. So now I'm being told to pay out of pocket because their technician did a terrible job. I called multiple times and was told the district manager, Michael, would get back to me. That was August 22nd. Today is September 6th, and I still haven't heard a single thing. This is the worst repair I've ever received from Safelite. The chip is still visible, the service was rushed, the follow‑up was dismissive, and the management was rude and contradictory. It honestly feels like they purposely did a horrible job just to push a full replacement. I would not recommend Safelite to anyone. They used to be a great company, but clearly not anymore. I wish I had gone somewhere else.

I Don't Know Who Needs to Hear This, But... Don't Mess With My Hair or My Tint…read more I'm all for adventure when it comes to trying new spots, restaurants, shops, all the "why not" detours, but there are a few things in life I do not play around with. Hair stylists? That's a sacred bond. Once I find the one, we're basically in a committed relationship until fate (or a cross country move) rips us apart. And that brings me to auto tint. Several months ago, I bought a new vehicle, cue the excitement, and naturally, I needed new tint. No biggie, right? I head to my usual spot, only to find... crickets. Gone. Vanished. Just an empty lot and me, sitting there like a confused raccoon in daylight. Panic? Slightly. Panic! Thank You Siri. ‍ Pulled out my phone. Hit up Yelp and Google like my life depended on it. Enter: Gray Shadow Impressions. Less than five minutes from me (the Tint Gods were listening), and the Reviews? Glowing. Like "cue the heavenly chorus" glowing. Checked their hours, open! I zoomed over. Realized ding dong! Maybe I should've called first. Whoops. (Don't be me. Be smarter.) So I called... from their very large, very obvious driveway. Nate, the owner, picks up. Super kind. I apologized for the surprise drop in, and he reassured me it was totally fine, he appreciates when people respect business hours (hint hint). From there? Flawless. Nate was warm, friendly, and explained every detail about the tinting process, options, benefits, what's legal, what's smart, what'll make your car look slick in all the best ways. Honestly? He's the Tint Whisperer. BUT WAIT, plot twist! My 16 year old son gets a last minute job interview. I'm scrambling. I mention it to Nate and he straight up offers to pick up my car for me. WHO DOES THAT? (Spoiler: Nate does.) Need a pickup or drop off for tint? You can literally schedule a date with Nate at Gray Shadow Impressions. I got my tint done yesterday. zero flaws. I'm already going back next week to tint the sunroof because... value, and commitment. This place? One stop shop. Tint dreams realized. Small biz magic. Highly recommend. Don't wait, go get shaded by the best.
