I go there once or twice a week. I like to shop there. But I do not like the way they do the promotion. When they advertise the chicken breast on sale. You hardly can find them. Every time you have to ask the Safeway guy to locate for you because they hide the on sale items among the regular price ones. Either you can't find it or pick up the wrong ones. Normally I don't check the bill and I paid for the expensive one. This happens many times already. you have to be careful if you want to buy the on sale meats. read more

5 people in every line with 3 check stands open at 6:30PM on a weekday. Half the self checkout stands are out of order and there are no lights inside any of the dairy cases, frozen section, produce section, etc. Half the sale stuff I wanted is out of stock. I've walked out of better stores than this. Stay away, or bring a flashlight. read more

If i could rate -10 i would! This is the local location for the Safeway Delivery in my area. They are an absolute joke! My orders never even show up half the time no call nothing like it never existed! (Even though i get a confirmation email at time of order and even one in the middle of my delivery window stating it will arrive within the window) Then the other times they show up 4 hours late with some lame excuse (Ip issue, truck problems, loaders called out sick, never got my order (but you did or you wouldn't be here) i call corporate because no one at the store will even bother to be an honest human being and even corporate can't give me a straight answer. They assure me all is fine and delivered will be on time knowing that my delivery window is after their office is closed so i won't be able to call them back and complain until the next day but by then conveniently my order was magically canceled and they can't reopen it so I'll have to make a new order which of course can be guaranteed same day!!!!! I've never EVER dealt with such a poor excuse for a company!!! I will NEVER order from Safeway EVER again! Insta Cart here i come! read more

I come here after work all the time for a sandwich since they are open at 7:30 and close to my house. When I got there today at 7:45 the sandwich person said they were closed. I asked what time they usually close so I know for next time and she said "now". I asked again what time they usually close and she said 8. This is the worst Safeway I have ever been to. The store is large and in good condition but it is so understaffed that it is almost unstaffed. The lines are ridiculously long almost anytime of day or night because only a couple of the check stands are ever open. The shoppers are encouraged to use self check out which never runs smoothly. Ever. Customers have to repeatedly wait for a staff member to override issues with the machine. Not all items can even be rung up on the machine. There is no where to put your items if you have more that a few. I feel sorry for the staff of this place. Also, about 30% of the time I buy produce here I get home to realize I have bought rotten garbage. Many expired items are sold on there shelves. I don't have time to waste going back and returning these items. I just won't shop here anymore. read more

The only reason they are getting 2 stars and not 1 is because I feel bad for the employees at night. The night crew seem to have zero leadership and walking around on there cell phones and avoiding eye contact with people looking for help. They chat with each other as if on a continuous break. The struggling checkers have no one to help them when something does not go through right. Shame on you management of safeway and your lack of teamwork. read more

This store is right across the street from where I live and I kept shopping there thinking it would get better. It hasn't... not shopping there anymore. As previous reviewers have mentioned, they have a serious issue with having expired food on their shelves. I can't tell you how many things I've bought here only to come home and find that they expired months ago. Good luck getting someone to help you in Customer Service. The place is always super understaffed and the lines are long so I just use self-checkout (where there is also usually a line). I even wrote a note to Safeway corporate regarding the expiration dates and got a response saying the store manager would contact me and he never did. Their prices are high and I expect better. Open 24 hours, this safeway stays stocked well with the foods I purchase, but their checkout service is a little slow. I can often find myself waiting in line for almost twice as long as the time it took me to find everything I wanted to buy in the first place. Alas I ill keep going there since it is the closest grocery store to me. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. I went there Monday night on my way home from the gym, I was probably around 8-830. I picked up a few items and Veronica was working one of the express check out lane. When it was my turn, she never once greeted me, she looked angry. I tried to cheer her up and make conversation and still never cracked a smile and her response was I am tired. I do all my grocery shopping here. Big parking lot so parking isn't an issue. Inside is clean and always has everything I need for shopping. I like how it's open 24hrs. There is self check out, but usually always has a line. It appears to be understaffed since I've never seen more then 3 check stands open and the lines are usually 6+ people at each stand. I usually help cashier bag my own groceries. Service has been OK...nothing spectacular (hello / goodbye ) . read more

i like this safeway. it's got an organic section, an actual deli where i can get stuff to order, and a giant produce section that sells me oranges and apples, and other yummy fruits and veggies. now, don't ask what inspired this review (ok, i'm making sangria), but it made me happy enough to write one. the minus one is because there's a starbuck's in the store. i think that's kinda weird. I stop here frequently in the early morning as it is next to my daughter's hugh school and on the way to work. Won't be any longer. Last week I heard the only checker at 7:15am call an elderly customer a "smart ass" under her breathe because he asked her to call for help. There were about 9 people in line and no other checkers. I called and spoke to the store manager, and she expressed remorse and concern. While there is no excuse for this type of behavior, I told her that I think she or whoever sets the schedules for this store share culpability for the situation. It is the same situation every morning..people trying to get to school or work, one checker and self check out closed. I have seen the cashier express frustration over and over....and nothing changes. Won't be stopping at this store any longer. read more

sometimes on the weekend i am lazy. because let's be honest, making a sandwich is not too involved. its times like these that i say to myself, SELF, where can i get a tasty sandwich that's fresh, affordable, and nearby? the answer is usually the safeway deli counter. the sandwiches here are great and if you happen to catch a day that Don is working, you're really in for a special treat. i'm currently pitching an idea to my friends over at corporate to have Don be promoted to "head sandwich maker trainer" so he can show all the rookies the dos and donts of sandwich making. plus they brought the buy 7 get one free deal back. good call. read more

I am a fan of this store. In fact, its my "home" store. Granted, like all markets, sometimes its out of things I want to buy. Sometimes there is no one at the customer service desk. Sometimes I wish they would quit moving things around. But, those mumblings are not an everyday thing by a long shot. The place is clean. The checkers and other service people are friendly and helpful when I ask. Folks say hello. In general, it has what I need to buy and, in some respects, the produce looks better and healthier than Whole Foods. read more

The chicken strips here are good.. always hot and fresh. The staff at the counter are always so helpful and cheerful.

Not enough checkers & no baggers! Only 2 checkers this morning & huge lines at both, so we went to the "self-check" area & had to wait there as well. Finally checked our 3 items through & the machine had a malfunction (we had done everything right), so then we had to wait for the service lady to help us. I've had positive experiences here: Kim from customer service is great- yes, you have to ring a bell, but she came immediately. This is the only store where almost every trip I have an employee ask if I need help finding something. I asked the sushi chef about one of the sauces I like and she put some in a cup for me to take home (free)! Cons: You have to be diligent and ensure your coupons ring up correctly. The layout by the eggs is a bit of a bottleneck. read more

I love this Safeway. They always have what I want in stock...accept my lime Rock Star energy drinks. I was disappointed to see they have been out of that for awhile. They literally have everything else I've ever wanted. The signage is great...the sales are too. The Manager is super fast and helpful. I have never seen a store without a Customer Service desk. I live in Florida and shop at a store named Publix. If I want a special item they do not have they get it from another store and call me when they have it. If I need 4 hot dog buns they open the package of 8 and sell me the 4. Eh, this place is convenient.. that's really the only thing that's good about it. Needed the liquor key and I'm glad we didn't have to wait too long to get it opened up.. the thing that really irked me was the customer service at the register which was NONE... the cashier was rude as hell, and the bagger girl was even worse.. she was on her cell phone, and not paying attention to the customers.. when she finished bagging my groceries she threw the bags into my cart.. LITERALLY threw em in and mind you I had bottles of alcohol in those bags, which she should be aware of since SHE is the one who bagged them... I'm glad I don't go to this safeway... maybe once or twice a year so I don't have to deal with that BS. read more

This is my first review on yelp because the customer service is horrible in the deli! I only come here because it's close to my work but I will never go back. They do not strive in customer service as the other Safeways do! The manager is horrible and very rare to find a clerk that cares! They are rude and treat customers as if they don't want to be there!
