So we tried the one downtown and so far not impressed, and very disappointed. We had a 25 minute wait which was not a problem since it was Saturday and it was packed. We have been waiting for our breakfast for over 30 minutes now. The food better be worth the wait because we are ready to raid someone's table and eat their food. So the food wasn't worth the wait. Joined the waitlist in Yelp. Arrived at the restaurant and was told they don't joiner the waitlist anymore and have tried to get it off Yelp for a long time, but Yelp won't remove them. Had to wait 30 minutes for our table. Food and service is not worth a 30 minute wait. To the owners, if you are on Yelp with the waitlist, you need to honer it. Very good breakfast, with a couple of small exceptions. The coffee drinks were delicious, but the Bloody Mary tasted very watery, no olives or pickles. It should be just mix and vodka with some garnish. The Sage Biscuit Skillet was amazing as were the waffles. The biscuits are dry, but with some butter or gravy are excellent tasting. The chicken in the Chicken and Waffles had a great crust, but the actual chicken was a bit under done. Overall a good breakfast for a Sunday morning. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

Always busy, expect a long wait for your breakfast and brunch do to small dining areas and location. Personally, I feel the menu is too big. Way to many options for a bistro style restaurant. Food is pretty bland. Some menu items have great flavor. Especially the fiesta bowl and soups. But overall pretty bland. For the environment and location, I'd make the menu a lot smaller with signature dishes. This would speed up the process from front to back of house and cut the wait times down. The service is great tho. Staff is always friendly, smiling and busting their butts. Coming from a guy who's not huge on breakfast foods, I personally think it's overrated. read more

The food was excellent, but is practically ala carte. $15 breakfast sandwich and $16 omelette that comes with nothing is ridiculously priced. My bill for breakfast was almost $60 without tip for a breakfast sandwich, an omlette, a bowl of granola (which was good, but $12 for granola?), one coffee and one tea. When eggs and toast become as expensive as this place, it's a ripoff, I don't care how good the food is. And how cheap of them not to include any potato or fruit options with their $16 omlette that would cost $1.50 to make at home. I don't allow anything but the food to steer me into how many stars a restaurant deserves. With that being said, the food is very good, the prices will leave you with a bad taste. read more

So far starting off very unprofessional. The service was so poor probably some of the worst I have had. My parents and I were waiting on a table with three and had been waiting for some time with no larger parties before us. A group of four then came in and were sat right away. I asked the hostess why that was and she stated that it was another waitresses family and so they were sitting them first. Seriously? That is not how a business should be run. We had been waiting for 20minutes by the time we were sat. So at this point I was not thrilled. Then we were sat before another couple (2 people)at least five or so minutes before. The waitress went directly over to their table which was right behind ours and took their orders before even coming over to us. We had not been offered water or anything. She ignored our table until I looked up visibly angry and she stated she would be right with us. At this point my parents and I both decided the first two impressions we were treated poorly why would the food or service get better. Honestly we just got up and left. for a resort town their service was terrible and unprofessional. They don't seem to treat customers well. I have friends coming to the area for a bachelorette party in the next few weeks I would tell them don't bother, honestly they are plenty of other highly recommended places on yelp to waste your time being treated like your money does not matter. Delicious!! While traveling, ate here with the BF on a stop in Bradenton. It was suggested to us by some locals...I'm from the South, hear "biscuits" & my antennas go up. We walked in & we're asked if we would like to sit inside or on their patio - outside it was! Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks were constantly refilled but we didn't feel as if our server was hovering. It was a busy Saturday morning so she was very busy but provided us with just the right amount of time & attention. Ambience: cool vibe inside & out. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in their covered area (as well as some mimosas). Food: the menu has something for everyone: several different benedicts; breakfast burritos, sandwiches, skillets; smoked salmon; shrimp & grits & of course- biscuits. Ordered an omelette where you "pick 4" ingredients for $9.99 which also came with biscuits (fluffy & delicious), & cheese grits (very good!). My omelette consisted of bacon, sausage, cheese & peppers. Couldn't eat all of it so ate the grits & biscuit! Tasted just as good as any I've had. My meal was mediocre at best. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of turkey sausage, and a vanilla latte with almond milk. The avocado toast is not a true "Cali Avo-Toast" even though they claim to make their guacamole fresh, daily. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It was rather bland. The poached eggs were cold and so was the sausage. Maybe the food sat for a bit before the sever brought it out? The coffee was super hot; I'm grateful that it wasn't cold, but I wasn't expecting it to be as hot as it was and I burned my tongue. They also don't have oat milk, which apparently the server has been telling the manager to order, because she's been getting so many requests. I accidentally dropped my knife and got up to ask the nearest worker, who happened to be a bus boy, for a replacement and I had to waive my hands to get his attention because he had his earbuds in and apparently couldn't hear me speaking to him? He nodded to my request and never followed through. I had to flag another server down, through the window, because I was seated outside, and she quickly brought a replacement. We've been to the Sage Biscuit several times and never disappointed. The staff is always friendly and attentive. We've tried all the different eggs Benedict on their house made biscuit and all are delicious, perfectly poached egg and delicious hollandaise sauce. The side of potatoes are well seasoned, crispy on the outside and creamy inside and the fruit is very fresh. The restaurant is clean and inviting. They also have outdoor seating if you wish to enjoy our Florida weather. It is our go to breakfast spot!! read more

I can't decide whether to give Sage Biscuit 4 or 5 stars... While I enjoy this restaurant - I've come here twice now and intend to come again - I do think it has a couple negatives. The food is generally very good (when asked what you'd like for your side, get the biscuit. It's delicious!) however there are a couple things on the menu I'm not crazy about, so be sure to read descriptions and choose wisely. The bathrooms are also strangely located in the business building next door, and the restaurant itself is quite crowded. With that said, though, the food is good (hollandaise sauce is delicious the way they make it) and the service is excellent. Their orange juice is not freshly squeezed, but it doesn't taste like Tropicana either so it's hard to even tell. Overall, I've enjoyed my experiences here and do intend to come back. For anyone with a sweet tooth, I would definitely recommend ordering the stuffed strawberry French toast! Enjoy! read more

I have been in here twice now. First time the food was OK and the service was HORRIBLE. Second time we went back because someone told us you must have gone in on a bad day. Well the food was HORRIBLE and the SERVICE WORSE. Not to get into all of it but our waitress after we sat for like ten minutes got our drink order came back and asked if we were ready to order. I asked "Does your crab cakes have bell peppers in them?" She said "Yes" then disappeared. We sat there looking at each other and was like what just happened? Then we sat there and watched her greet and take FOUR orders while we sat waiting. I got up went to the bathroom came back. She took care of two more customers. My spouse was really irritated and got up to find someone to take our order. She comes over and said "I saw you went to the bathroom so i didn't come over. Now he is gone. Do you know what you want and what he wants I'll take the order." Seriously so I can give his order but he can't give mine? I was like seriously? We got a manager. Our order was taken. spinach and chicken salad and he got biscuits and gravy with potatoes. After about 25 more minutes it came out and it had clearly been sitting in the window. Biscuits crunchy a film over top of the gravey. Chicken cold and it looked like they dumped a bag of spinach in the bowl. Strawberries mushy and the dressing was so gross. Strawberry vingerate. It came out fluffy not sure why but it was disgusting like vomit. She brought out the cilantro vingerate no thank you. We didn't eat and left. Horrible. We will never be back! read more

Ended up waiting outside another 30 mins. We have tried to order uber eats a few times, Order takes 2-3 HOURS. The uber driver called me saying they don't have the french toast I ordered 2 hours in & we had to wait another hour for the food to get here... smh do they need to hire more staff or what? read more

Great variety on the menu. Friendly staff. Food was good. I'd never eaten biscuits and gravy before and this place sets a high bar for any other restaurant to top it. My wife had the shrimp and grits and they were good. She didn't get the blackened seasoning and that would've added the flavor and salt she felt was missing. Overall a good restaurant. read more
