Walked in not knowing what to expect. You certainly don't need any reservations. I feel like a lot of people were going in and out for take-out versus eating indoors. No outdoor seating at this place. There is ample seating so they had me choose a table. There is a sign that says in the front CASH ONLY. However, there is another sign that says Venmo, Zelle and Cash accepted. I advise bring some cash. Service was okay. They cleaned the table thoroughly so that was good. Never had to ask for refills or napkins. My friend and I ordered appetizers to start. It was just okay, nothing spectacular. Got the Fresh Spring Rolls in rice paper. It was a bit tasteless, I wouldn't order it again. For entree, I ordered the Garlic and Pepper Chicken that comes with rice. It was a bit tasteless so I had to ask for hot sauce. I've lived next to Amarin for the last 5 years and they have been my go-to spot the entire time. There are some other good Thai spots in the hood, but Amarin is just the perfect, clean, consistent, inexpensive, no frills spot. I always get the same, specific takeout order (mild pad Thai with chicken and extra vegetables) and it is always consistently great and exactly how I like it. Every. Single. Time. Not to mention, the same staff has been there for a while and they make a point to remember who you are. So friendly and warm--when my brother, who also lived next door, finally moved out-of-state they gifted him with extra food to show their appreciation. I mean... I used to work in the area so this became my go-to lunch spot. Now that I've moved, it's still the best Thai Fried Rice around. I now travel just to eat the Pineapple Fried Rice. Juicy, hot pineapple; lots of cashews and 5 perfectly cooked shrimp. An attentive staff make it well worth the trip. And if I'm up for the big time, I get the Crispy Duck with Mashed Potatoes. So. This place is a gold mine. I have been going there every month for several yrs. now. Best Thai place I have ever been and inexpensive. Owner is super friendly and professional. My favorite dishes are broad noodle chicken, shrimp or beef, pad Thai, basil chicken/beef etc., a few others too, anything there. It is byob which is a gold mine for me and party. A friend from the area took us there last night,and I've gotta say I was a bit skeptical going in- it looks like any other run of the mill Chinese joint when you walk in. It's a trick. Quality Thai food at excellent prices with great portions! Some friends of mine who only live a few blocks from this place told me it's their go-to Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. I don't blame them because it was seriously good! It's BYOD so my friend got a bottle of white from across the street. We ordered family-style and shared the green papaya salad, fried calamari, duck & mashed potatoes, pad thai chicken, and spinach noodles. All were full of flavor, but each dish had its own unique taste. My favorites were the pad thai chicken and the duck. I loved how the duck was served under a bed of mashed potatoes. Their portions are very generous, too! The servers were nice, brought wine glasses immediately upon seeing our bottle of white, checked frequently to see if we were doing okay, brought out the food really fast, and even refilled our water glasses each time they passed by. I had an excellent experience and will definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood again! read more

This place is an awesome hidden gem in Williamsburg! I came here on a rainy night and my friend and I sat there waiting for other friends for almost 45 minutes, and the staff didn't try to rush us to order (to be fair, it was quite empty). In any case, once we ordered food, it came out quite quickly. I got the pad kee mao with tofu and spicy, and it was really good. There also wasn't too much oil, and there was a good amount of tofu and vegetables. Portions were a bit small, but the flavor was wonderful. I also tried my friend's salmon curry, string beans and chicken, and red curry, and all the flavors were really strong and delicious. I was really impressed by this place, and the prices are super fair too! At $9.95 pre-tax, this is definitely one of the cheapest Thai places I've found. Highly recommend! read more

This experience consisted of a take-out order of chicken pad thai and thai basil chicken that I placed on my phone via their website. Decor: the place looks appealing, albeit small. I'd eat in the restaurant if my plans allowed for it. Food: Quite delicious as to both meals, but beware that even the second gradation of "spiciness" - medium was quite spicy. Like, it had me sweating. Of course, that happens pretty easily, but still...take note. The pad Thai had great flavor and no spiciness issues. At a glance: this place has a very homey feel to it and all the vegetables and ingredients are fresh. You can see them being prepared around lunchtime. They have been there for such a long time, that my mother used to eat there while she was pregnant with me. Food: Their crispy duck was my favorite before I became vegan. The spring rolls are a delight. When I didn't want something heavy like the duck or with so much fat I get the pad see ew with beef and pineapple. I would come here more often if they had a good hearty vegan meal and maybe an appetizer or a vegan Thai iced tea. Otherwise there's no reason for me to come here anymore I'm not one that likes tofu which they offer, so I genuinely miss this place and that was laying in bed thinking about it and decided to write a review for it. Best pad Thai I ever had! I had it medium spicy with chicken and it was so flavorful with plenty of fresh bean sprouts! The calamari was delicious and my friends pad see ew was soo good! The only thing I wasn't sold on was the crab rangoon because the portion was so small for the price (6 pieces for $7) and they weren't the best I've had. Still good though and didn't change my opinion if this place. The people that were working were soo nice and that is so important to me when I go out. First off - I would just like to say that I am Thai, have been eating/cooking thai food all my life and know that the lovely people working here are thai so I encourage you to please ignore any noobs (ie people who dont know thai ice tea is made with milk...eyeroll...) insisting this place isn't authentic. This place makes some of the best thai food I've had compared to living in LA and Thailand. My boyfriend and I have been coming here at least a few times a month for the past 5 years (we used to go weekly when we lived in BK). The service is always very friendly and the food comes out within minutes. We've yet to have a bad experience. Extra extra points for BYOB (no corkage fee!) The portions are large - usually just an entree each is enough to satisfy us. For apps we love the fish cakes, fried calamari and chicken sate for when we come with groups. Our favorite dishes are the noodle dishes (spicy noodles, padthai) and the amarin fried rice. The textures, freshness and balance are always perfect. Like I mentioned before, this place is authentic, so spicy means THAI S P I C Y. We have introduced many of our friends to this spot and many of them swear by other dishes but we'd say their noodle and fried rice dishes are their standout items. Some of the best Thai food I've had in years. Me and my partner came back after coming 2 days ago. The food is not only delicious, but affordable, & available in 15 minutes if ordering takeout. My partner got the chicken pad Thai with extra veggies & said the veggies are fresh. I get the broad noodles w/veggie duck & the veggie duck is flavorful!
