My family stays at Suncadia a couple times a year. This is my go to spot for a hot meal after we pull into Cle Elum. Maybe it's having an empty stomach after traveling but I really like the pizza here. They don't skimp on the toppings, the pies come out piping hot and well done, it's a quick and easy kind of place, and the specials are pretty good. I think this is my favorite pizza delivery/takeout place in Washington. They moved locations a while ago and the new place doesn't have tables so be aware that some of the pictures are out dated. read more

I'm sticking up for Sahara's in Cle Elum they do one hell of a business most of their pizzas or take out for delivery so if it takes 40 minutes for you to get your pizza, then I suggest buy one at Safeway and take it home and took it. I ordered my pizza and I was told it was going to be an hour, I was ok with that, it was really like almost two hours. I called to ask where my order was and their response was " should have arrived quite awhile ago. Called back and talked to two different people and no one seemed to have any clue of what was going on with my order. I finally got my order and the pizza was ice cold and the order was incomplete! If you can't deliver when your supposed to at least make sure the order is complete for crying out loud! Called back after order arrived they did try and remedy the situation by giving me a free pizza the next time so I did appreciate that aspect of the service! The pizza was decent, it was just really late and really cold! Probably would not get delivery again but would stop and get pizza. Update-- I called to redeem my comp pizzas after my pizza showed up late and cold, I was told by management it would be noted to my account and I would have to pay the delivery charge, seems reasonable right? Upon calling I was told there was nothing noted to my account and they would be happy to offer me 25% off of my order! Wow customer service fail times two Sahara pizza. I would skip this place and choose to eat else where I would give them no stars but the minimum rating you can give is one star. I hesitate to leave a poor review because it can in fact have a very detrimental effect on a business. However, there are times that warrant a fair, honest review. We went to Sahara on a Tuesday evening around 1830. Party of about 10 for dining in. Advertised as family friendly and pizza is generally fast, so we chose Sahara. Dining out with kids can certainly be a challenge. After driving most of the day, we were hungry. Arrived and cleaned off our own table to sit. Not a big deal, but I figured it would at least be noticed and would result in menus to the table. Something - any acknowledgment that a large party had just walked in, primed to spend money on a mid week night. 5 minutes go by, nothing. 10 minutes go by, another party comes in and orders at counter. Turns out that they don't have table service - would have been a real inconvenience for them to let us know. We get the pizzas ordered. On a comparative basis, somewhat expensive. However, the hope was that the turnaround would be fast and pizza good. After running the credit card, we inquired as to how long it'd be - and found out it was 40 minutes. Super! Just super! Pizzas arrive in spurts. First 2, then next 2, then next 2, starting at about 20 minutes after order. Last pizza arrived - specifically gluten free with no cheese. Gluten free is a special order and people who require it get raped on price. Due to both the health ramifications of gluten exposure and allergy, as well as paying a proud for gluten free, these orders should not be mixed up ever. Last pizza came out completely wrong and needed to made again - and this is 40 minutes in. 75% of party is already done eating at this point. To their credit, Sahara gave us the mistake pizza for free and made the replacement quickly. The pizza is good enough for one star - thus this is a two star review. Two other stars taken off because slow and bad service seems to be a recurring issue. If a huge portion of Sahara's business is delivery, then do not have a dining room if you cannot service it. If you are going to advertise yourself as family friendly, then be it. A broken jukebox, a video game, a pool table, slow service, and no wait staff is not family friendly, Cle Elum is a small town and perhaps we just caught them at a bad time. We are pretty forgiving - however, this seems habitual for Sahara, so it is easy to feel somewhat snookered in how Sahara presents itself and the product it delivers. I wish them the best and hope that they read this review objectively. We spent $160 or so on a very high margin item - pizza - so it's not unreasonable, along the same "it's a small town" reasoning, our business should have been valued, not non chalantly taken for granted. read more

A small little place next door to a house , very clean inside some of the best ladies we've come across they were super friendly and we struck up a conversation that lasted well over a half hour we went back to our hotel and proceeded to dive into the pizza it was fantastic we will definitely come back again next time we're in Cle Elum. read more

Is there a way to give less than one star? From the outside it looks ok. The moment you step inside the restaurant you are met immediately by a guy who gives you your pizza and says to take a table. When you go to look around you find tables with food and pizza crusts littered about and trash on the floor. The walls are covered with heads of animals and odd pictures of NASCAR and bulls. My friend had to use the restroom so he went back to find "a black hole of fecal matter, urine and cardboard boxes. The stench was so pungent that I almost passed out." If you are looking for a good pizza place look anywhere else cause it was the worst. We took our leftovers only to make the people not feel so bad about how truly terrible their pizza is. It amazes me how super critical people can be. First off, Cle Elum is a small town. I don't ever recall it being known for 5 star restaurants or anything extravagant. With that said, the restaurant does look like a hole in the wall but the pizza was good. My family didn't come here looking for ambiance... We came here for decent food which we got. Just a few comments on some of the reviews... First, thank you for good ones! As one of the 'new' owners (3 years now, not too new), we appreciate all comments, especially the good ones, of course. As to some of the bad ones... 1) We took over the existing business and lease February 2012 and found that little could be changed as to decor. We are forbidden by the landlord to remove the big red bull on the wall or the wainscoting. Actually, they allow very few changes. 2) The bathroom pictured in one review is a non-working one. In order to get there, you have to walk down a very dark hall and right by the sign directing you to the working restroom. He should have known that NO establishment could have a restroom like the one he was in. (The health department would not even allow it!!) If he would have read the sign or asked an employee, he would have been directed to the correct restroom. 3) As to the complaint regarding Mariah's rude behavior, language, and attitude, she no longer works for us for those exact reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience we have caused anyone and ask that if you have a complaint, please tell the owners or an employee. We will try our best to make things right for you. Excellent pizza! I was just looking at some of the earlier reviews and it's strange. It is true that this is definitely not a eat in sort of place but more of a take or delivery. I do believe that it is under relatively new ownership and being a family owned franchise I've heard thru the grapevine that they've been dealing with some serious medical issues which may explain some of the strange open/close hours of late. Also, they are changing locations and hopefully this will make the facility a bit more family friendly and provide more interior seating. I've only had delivery since I moved here a year ago but have been extremely pleased with the quality and the service. If you had a bad experience, don't write them off yet, give'em another try you might be pleasantly surprised. read more

Well, in an area with a long-time Italian heritage, the name alone of this franchise was a good warning to "stay away" but hey, I took a chance and lost. Whether its Algerian, South American or what-not owned, this was by far the worst piece of product that was advertised "as" pizza I have ever had. I never expected Bronx-Brooklyn quality and I must admit I was teased by the sauce and the cheese but the dough was so heavy it could have been used as a weapon if needed and god-forbid if it was ever dropped from a roof. And that was just one slice! I scraped off the top, ate that, and passed on the rest. Driving through Ellensburg looking for some road food to take with us on our trip to the Yakima River Canyon area. Two dedicated women run this "hole in the wall" and make awesome loaded to the top pizza. We ordered the Jungle Veggie pizza. Three days later we are finally polishing off today at White Pass on our way back to Seattle. We could only justify this heavy yummy caloric treat since we were putting in 10 miles/day in cold weather and needed something that would stick to our ribs. And it held up well in the car. Simple, straightforward pizza joint. Billiards and video games in the back. Simple seating and decor throughout. They don't even have a soda fountain. You choose from cans or two liters from the cooler. Their standard crust is relatively thin, but not crispy and their ingredients all seemed fresh and high quality making for a very tasty pizza. read more

This is the worst run restaurant in Cle Elum. I was traveling the pass and decided to get pizza. I called and was put on hold. At 5 minutes I hung up and recalled. I was put on hold again. I was getting close to Cle Elum and at 8:30 I didn't want to wait so I called Tito at El Caporal and ordered Mexican. I got answered on one ring, they took my order and told me 10 minutes. I decided to go see why I was treated so rudely by Sahara Pizza. I expected a line out the door with several people waiting for food. Instead there were 2 stiffs looking like they were dazed and confused. No one waiting no one on the phone, no one standing in line waiting for pizza. I went into the store to ask them why I was put on hold for 15 minutes. The Crackhead pizza man told me he was BUSY! Told me that if I wanted good customer service that I needed to be a good customer. I have never seen a poorer excuse for a business in my life. Close and do us all a favor. Too bad we can't get a pizza in Cle Elum. Sahara Pizza you need to get new ownership before I will ever call your store again. The two stiffs working on 9-8-16 are the sorriest excuses for employees that I have ever seen. If you want pizza try Beaus or Village. The sooner these folks are out of business the better. At all cost, avoid this restaurant! The county health inspector should shut this place down. This was the single most disgusting restaurant we have ever witnessed. We just ordered two pizzas to go and then went in back to wait. NOT ONE of the more than eight tables were bussed (there was no where for anyone to eat)-- instead stacks of old, uneaten food, discarded bottles, boxes, and other garbage littered the tops of every table. The floors were covered in garbage. The serving counter nearest to the kitchen was covered in old recycling boxes. Even the napkins were dirty. It was totally unsanitary and after waiting more than twenty minutes in the filth for our pizza (long enough to peak in on the back kitchen area and notice the floors were equally dirty, and to see if any employee was going to come to clean up, bus, sweep, etc), we decided to walk out without asking for our money back- choosing instead to immediately write this review. Save yourself the time and money. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more
