We usually order to go and go pick it up. Recently we went to eat in. Food was ok (gyro and Alfredo), a little over cooked but eatable. The difficult part was looking around at the dirty windows and dusty window sills that turned my stomach. To add to that the cashier starts fast sweeping the floor throwing up dust and dirt while we are eating. I don't want to know how unclean the prep area must be. I like Sahara's. They always get the pie to my casa on time and the order is right. The pie is delicious. The breadsticks are slathered in butter and garlic and the salad is fresh 90% of the time. Pretty well ran place for having to staff from a small population. read more

Sahara is pretty good pizza, with some really good choices. It's a bit pricey, I mean, 3 lrg pizzas and a ceser salad for almost 70 bucks? OK, fine I can deal with that as I'm in Gold Bar, and the only other pizza place that delivers may be in town but charges that much for way less. I would have rated Sahara 4 stars, but when I called lastnight, I order the meatball appetizer, then got a call back saying they didn't have meatballs. Weird, since they also offer spaghetti and meatballs as well as a meatball sandwich, but OK. So I ordered a ceser salad instead, and they actually charged me $1.08 difference for it! Seriously?! You charged me for the pizzas and meatballs on the first call and now you're charging me for a lousy buck? When you don't have something that you offer in 3, THREE other menu options?! Anywhere else would have comped it, but whatever, you all are greedy. I guess from now on, I'll just hit up Monroe and go to Dominoes. They have great pizza too and I get better deals. read more

I ordered lots of food for a big dinner I was hosting (40 people - at a location nearby). The staff was helpful, and listened to exactly what I wanted and provided it. The food was ready right on time, and I got tons of compliments. There was plenty of food to go around, and everyone found something they loved. They individually packed servings of pasta, and then had large pans of sauces and meat so people could select the option they wanted. I would use them again. read more

Great pizza - I nave never been big on bread sticks but it is worth going there just for their garlic twisted bread sticks. Pizza crust thickness is personal, just so you know their's is a little thicker than average. Very nice gal waiting on us. Ordered a pizza to be delivered Large Garlic Chicken with Cheesy Bread over $30. Service seemed a little on the long side for a down the street delivery, but the worst was when we realized that our pizza was missing a main ingredient. I emailed a complaint polite but quickly. Still have not heard back, 2 days later! Service has really gone down. Funny thing is when I started talking to friends I found I was not alone, many many people are having trouble with their orders. Called to place an order. The second they picked up some girl just said "please hold" in a forceful mean sounding tone and just put me on hold without hesitation, no chance to even get a word in. I was on hold for about 5 minutes before i assumed they forgot about me. I called back and got the same response...again. lost my business. Take a second for the customer. There is no reason why any customer should be made to be placed on hold for that long,especially from a pizza joint. And with the amount of people i usually see working there, there is no reason for such a lengthy hold time. If you can't stand the heat then get out the f'n kitchen. And if you cant find staff that can handle the pressure of the fast busy pace then hire new staff that can. Start acting a little more professional. Seems more like a bunch of 20 year olds hanging out, than it does a crew of workers trying to provide a product. The food is usually good but id rather go somewhere where i know my buisness is appreciated at anytime, not just when its convenient for them. This place has such a great potential to be extremely profitable. Just hope the owner is smart enough to realize this before this place goes under do to poor service. read more

My family loves Sahara Pizza, there is something for everyone. We also love how fresh the ingredient are and the creativity in their custom pizza choices. They've always provided great friendly service in a timely manner! We live out in the middle of nowhere and the delivery service has always been speedy, I've never waited over 30 minutes. If passing through I'd definitely suggest stopping in and giving them a try! Great after a day of skiing or fun in the sun, especially when you have a bunch of hungry kids to feed! I'm sad to say this restaurant has been consumed by the homeless and drug epidemic. We arrived to find 6 homeless people out front of the restaurant and debated whether or not to go inside. They moved away from the door so we got out of the car and went in. We picked our own table and sat down, then had a waitress approach us to take our drink order. She seemed a bit "off", but very nice nonetheless. We ordered drinks and a pizza and noticed that she disappeared for a while (10 minutes maybe?). We figured she was on a break. Upon her return, when she brought the pizza to our table, she was noticeably impaired to the point where one of the children asked, "why is she doing that with her mouth?" As she placed the pizza on the table, her sleeve slid up her arm a bit to reveal open sores. This is not a safe environment for adults or children and I question whether traces of drugs could be found in their food. We have been customers of Sahara Pizza for years but each time it gets worse and the drug use / homeless population that loiters there continues to increase. Sadly we won't be back after this last experience. What a shame. read more
