Instead, they're transparent, matter of fact, and only suggest necessary services or parts at the times when you'll need them. And both times I've been shocked at how inexpensive they are. They even jokingly asked if I wanted them to charge me more after I was so surprised. One tip is to pay in cash to avoid any card fees. I won't go to anyone else and am grateful to Yelp for helping me find them.

Selection of road-worthy tires - I have visited L&J around 6-8 times in the last 8 years with four different cars. Every time except for one, I left with the new (used) tires that I came for. 2. Price - I have SUVs with big tires (P265/70R18, and 265/70R17). I never pay more than $30-$40/Tire, fully mounted and balanced. They also mount whichever of the remaining tires I ask on the spare. 3. Speed - I'm in and out in 30 minutes or less (seriously). The longest part of the process is tire selection because I always have a hard time choosing.

I brought my Porsche in after being told they could do the repairs for less than the dealership. I was originally quoted around $13,500, but when I picked up my car, the bill had increased to $14,900 for additional repairs I never approved. After arguing it, we still ended up paying $14,460. A couple of weeks later, my car started making a loud noise it never had before. Instead of checking their work, they immediately told me it wasn't related to their repairs and quoted me another $1,800. I got a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. The second shop confirmed I did not need the additional parts Import wanted to sell me. The issue was caused by my belt being installed incorrectly. They also found missing hardware, a coolant cap left under my hood, and several other installation mistakes. After spending over $14,000, I expected them to stand behind their work instead of trying to charge me for repairs that weren't needed. After reading other reviews, I realized my experience isn't unique. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving expensive repairs here.

I helped her to research where would be the best place to take her SUV to be checked. 19th Avenue Garage kept coming up on here and on Google. Needless to say, these gentlemen are wonderful! So very kind and understanding as they knew she was going through a difficult time. They did a thorough check of her car. She had previously been told she had a transmission leak. These gentlemen did not find it. The "Check Engine" light, fortunately, was related to her tires. The batteries were old. There was some seepage from the brakes, but it was minimal. As for the brakes, they were still in good shape, but will eventually need attention. When she asked how much she owed them for their time, they told us "Zero". No charge! They understood she was going through a difficult time with her husband being in the hospital these past two months and assured her that her vehicle was safe to drive. They did invite her to return in six months for her next oil change and they would check her brakes again. Needless to say, I am so impressed with the kindness these gentlemen showed my neighbor, and that they could have charged her for their time as they did a thorough check of her SUV, but they did not. They have also won me as a customer! I will be taking my vehicle to them the next time it needs service. I am very impressed with this garage and with the gentlemen working there!

I showed up and had to park in the convenience store parking lot next door, because it looked like a pretty tight lot. They said that was no problem. I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.
