We saw this road side restaurant on the PCH and decided to give it a try. The Pho looked awesome but we decided on the chicken spring roll and beef brisket banh mi sandwich. Both were exceptionally delicious. I worked in SF in the same building that housed the famed Slanted Door Vietnamese restaurant and had many dozen meals there. The spring roll here was just as good! We love coming here - the service and every dish we've tried is amazing! The owners and staff are very sweet and caring! Love the change in evening menu items every now again as it gives us a chance to try out the chef's new dishes while still enjoying our favorite staples (pho baguette and 420 rice and of course nam nam wings!). Ordered the yellow curry and was told it's one of their larger more filling dishes. 2 ingredients- potatoes and carrot, and not even enough curry in it to finish a bowl of rice. It's so yummy, I always get the grilled pork bahn mi and it's so well balanced. I don't really eat pork because it tends to be fattier and meatier but theirs is my exception. I've eaten there and have gotten take out and neither have failed me. The service is great! Lemme tell y'all the kumquat black tea. Oh my god hands down the best drink that I've ever had. If you like kumquat and sour flavors you will love that drink. We had the BEST brunch at Saigon Beach. Food: We ordered the coconut Pandan waffles, egg/meatball skillet, and one of each of the fruit drinks. My absolute favorite were the coconut Pandan waffles - I've tried plenty of other ones and theirs were hands down the best. They were crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Paired with the coconut whipped cream, they were such a great indulgent treat. The egg/meatball skillet was super filling, flavorful, and unique! The drinks were also refreshing and fun - also much needed when I accidentally ate the jalapeño garnish in the egg/meatball skillet! Ambiance: The inside was spacious, clean, and well organized. There was a station for water and utensils adjacent to the register so it flowed really well. There was plenty of seating when we first got there but they filled up pretty quickly around 12. The outdoor patio was also such a vibe! Service: Although you order at the register and they bring the food to you, the servers were still very attentive and always available for requests. They were also so friendly and helpful with recommendations off of the menu. 10/10 recommend and will return soon for those to die for waffles! read more

I was very disappointed with the food and service at Saigon beach. I was overcharged for an extra bowl of pho, I was told that I would be refunded within 3-5 days, I was not. I was overcharged about $20 which is disappointing. My sister received her pho 15 minutes before I received my food, so her pho was cold. The pho broth lacked dimension and tasted like a white washed version of pho. We also ordered the pork eggrolls and were really disappointed because the pork tasted spoiled. read more

I thought this place was going to be like any other fusion American's restaurant where they water down the flavor of the foods then said it's Asian foods but that's not the case at all. The dish we tasted was cilantro rice with shredded chicken, panda coconut waffle, and coconut panda panna cotta, and a passion fruits drink. The food was tasty and the flavors was fresh. If you're expecting an authentic Vietnamese restaurant then go to Little Saigon/Westminster about 30-40mins away where the foods are more simple as well as the service. If you want to try something different like a Vietnamese restaurant with a modern twist, exciting flavors, and unique combination then come here!! As with most of my reviews, this one is overdue. I eat at Saigon Beach at least one or twice a week, if not I have withdrawals. I LOVE THIS PLACE! My daughter is addicted too. You know when the day is a bit dreary and all you want is a bowl of soup to make you feel better? Well, prior to Saigon Beach opening, I ended up going home and making my soup. Now, I go straight to Saigon Beach and order a chicken pho soup. It's so good. The chicken is fresh and cooked to perfection, the noodles are yummy and the broth is perfection. It's a home run every time. Sometimes though, my daughter and I opt for the 420 green rice and Chicken Spring Rolls. Again, the chicken is moist and juicy and the Spring Rolls are crunchy filled with yummy veggies and noodles. The 420 green rice is to die for and the yummy chicken on top is DELICIOUS ... I think it's been marinated in some sort of yumminess and cooked to perfection. Ok, i think you get the gist, this place is SO good and the owners are terrific, it's a family-run business and a must visit! And you can get it to go if you don't have time to dine-in. We got two orders of the 420 rice one with chicken and one with pork, as well as an order of the special dry rub (lemongrass, I think) wings and all of it was delicious! The 420 rice order is more than enough to leave you full. The service was exceptionally friendly and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. As locals, my wife and I couldn't wait for this 2nd location to open. Just in time for the summer too! I actually think this spot is better than the Newport Beach location. Friendly staff and service. They are usually slammed with orders so be patient about the wait time. Interior and outdoor dining is cozy and clean, right across the street from the beach. I recommend the steamed bao buns with grilled pork, fresh rolls with pork and shrimp, and their rainbow salad. The bahn mi sandwiches are excellent and made with fresh crispy Viet style French bread and ample protein/veggies. The pho soup is ok. Sorta bland. If you're looking for more authentic and traditional Vietnamese, try the restaurants in Garden Grove or Irvine. Can't beat the prices for the amount of food you get. read more
