The foods we ordered were amaaazing!! We ordered the phở baguette dip, pork belly lollipops, shakey shakey beef, 420 green rice, crazy rich bao w/ pork belly, and coco for pandan. For drinks, we mixed the strawberry peach limonade and passion fruit mango limonade for a spectacular burst of flavor. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. There's a small reserved area for restaurant parking. I will come back to try other items on their menu here at their second location! read more

Saigon Beach is a hidden gem. I wish I knew about it sooner out of all the years I've lived in OC. Highly recommend all the food here; Our favorite foods are the Pho Baguette Dip, beef brisket banh mi, and grilled pork spring rolls. We can't wait to come back to try more things on the menu. I really enjoyed the taste of the Veggie Pho. The tofu was very good in my opinion and the flavor of the soup was good from the start. I do put the different toppings on top to enhance the soup but I was very pleased with what I ordered. The Pana Pudding was !!! THE BEST THING IN LIFE ! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the flavors and miraculous tastes it had. The pineapple was perfect on top of that mildly sweet dessert. LOTS OF VEGAN OPTIONS compared to other restaurants in Laguna Beach. We picked up the lemongrass soup with tofu and mushrooms, jackfruit 420 green rice, fried tofu bites, and fries. Everything was seasoned well and not too salty. We loved everything! The spicy lemongrass soup was in between mild-medium in spice, but you can adjust the spice level by adding more sriracha if you like your soups really spicy. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. We also usually don't like jackfruit as a meat substitute, but they did a great job with seasoning and cooking it. The texture would be a little better if the jackfruit got pan fried, air fried, or broiled to get a little crispy, but it was still really good. The crispy fried tofu bites came with their delicious house sauce which was like a sweet soy sauce and scallions, peanuts, and chilli oil. I also got the jasmine milk tea with grass jelly, which is always really refreshing! :) Highly recommend coming here for great food! read more

Uncle Rodger would definitely not approve. It is not authentic. The broth had way too much cinnamon. There was no collagen in the broth it was really thin and watery. There was no depth. They gave me a pint of broth, I've always gotten a quart deli of broth with take out Phō. Half the normal amount for $16? I also never have paid more than $10 for Phō. I thought maybe rent is higher? Nope. Also the gave me one1/8 of a LEMON, with my Phō. Lemon? Thank goodness I had limes. The meat was good and tender. I also order the Bao. I was expecting real Bao, not a Vietnamese taco? It wasn't bad, but the carrots were too sweet, or something was? It okay, but I won't order it again. They also were quite expensive for what you got. I love Vietnamese food and eat it often. If you do as well, this might not be a place you will like. It seems like it's been modified for an American audience. That is such a shame as the original is so amazing. I'll stick to my favorite place locally and with DoorDash it's cheaper. read more

We come here at least a couple of times a month since they opened. We love Vietnamese food and I don't know anybody that has tried Vietnamese food that doesn't really enjoy it, except for people that tell me they don't like it but then upon further questioning I find out they've never had it. We have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in this country and throughout Vietnam. I would describe Saigon Beach as more of a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. The menu has enough different types of choices and a variety of flavors. My favorite is the PHỞ BAGUETTE DIP. Two dishes in one. You will not be disappointed. read more

Tried ordering but was put on hold for over 4 minutes so I gave up and hung up and called 10 minutes later, same story stayed on hold for over 6 minutes and hung up. While on hold I can hear all the noise in the restaurant and it is clear they weren't taking orders from people in the restaurant. I don't get why they don't have the option to order online via toast or any of the other online ordering services. I was looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately I didn't get to despite multiple attempts. read more

Absolutely amazing food here. We had the brisket pho dip sandwich (a delicious brisket sandwich on a flaky Vietnamese roll which paired nicely with the pho broth), the wings which were a nice Asian sweet and spicy sauce with peanuts on top (I recommend these) and the "Noods - garlic butter sautéed noodles with probably the biggest charred prawns I've ever seen. This was the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, I'll definitely be back! The location is nice and clean and modernized. read more

We went to try their vegan options for dinner tonight and both my boyfriend and I decided after that we would never go back again. I had the vegan bun suggested by the cashier... it was really a salad that had no sustenance. Just lettuce, carrots, turnip, rice sticks and some fried tofu in soy sauce. ;-( my boyfriend ordered the vegan curry and added tofu steak. I can't even imagine the curry could be a meal without adding something. The curry literally is just the sauce....no veggies, no potatoes, no carrots or anything else but the curry sauce! It came with about five bites of rice. ;-( and...the green Thai ice tea made me sick to my stomach for the rest of the night. So sad the food was so bad. read more

SO glad we tried this place (largely due to Yelp!) The only reason I did not rate our lunch 5 full stars is because a woman brought 2 dogs inside which were barking. Not only did she bring them inside to order, she (with the dogs) ate inside as well. There is a lovely patio outside which I suspect is where they should have sat according to CA Restaurant Health Code violations I hope that management addresses this as the indoor dining area is small, although very clean and comfortable. Other than this, we LOVED the Green Rice and the Spring Rolls. The staff were very helpful, inviting, and friendly, and the location is great. We will definitely be back, and hope that we will not have to sit and eat inside with little barking dogs! read more
