I didn't have their pho, instead I ordered from the other half of the menu and bottom line? Not worth it. $7.25 for their combo plate which like other Vietnamese restaurants in the area come with pork chops, chicken wings and an egg roll over rice. My itty bitty pork chop was super dry because they pre-cut it to cook it faster. Not only was it dry, but it was small, way too small. The chicken wings were also itty bitty and way too salty, I wouldn't recommend them. The chicken wings at Saigon Bistro in Fairfield and the other Pho place down the street near County Square Market are much better. The egg roll was good, but the egg roll wasn't good enough to save them. They were even skimpy on the tomato and cucumber that came with plate AND there wasn't any pickled daikon and carrots! Sorry Saigon Pho, I won't willingly return unless the issues with the meat are worked out. I also came in with a coupon for a $1 smoothie. They were out of more than half of their flavors and didn't have any tapioca. I ended up going with a mango "smoothie" and it was more of a watery mango slushie. If I didn't have the coupon I would've been mad at myself for paying full price. read more

Best pho, hands down, in Vacaville. Unless you're in the Bay or in Sacramento, there are not that many options in between. I like this place for its pho, but the other place in Vacaville for their spring rolls. Parking lot is sort of cramped, but free and accessible. $0.05 charge on credit/debit cards for any amount under $10. My usual is the beef balls pho (I don't like the other stuff except tendons). They give you a good amount of meat! The soup is pretty good too. They serve the food relatively fast. The customer service is good too, they're very nice. Bun bo hue is decent too! I just had a healing experience. I was feeling a little toxic after having a little too much fun with friends last night and I was looking for some pho. After a little Yelp research I found this spot. I've tried others in the past that didn't quite succeed, but Saigon Pho was everything I wanted. I brought the family. The Pho Tai & Bahn mi were outstanding. Killer broth, killer bread, and full of fresh crunchy veg. Regarding service, well, let's just say that I was not there for the service, I was there for pho. And when you need a pho fix, you don't really care about anything else. It appears to be a family business, and it was packed. People were waiting for tables and the staff was movin' & groovin'. But everyone got water, menus, etc. there wasn't a lot of small talk, but my food was delicious. The atmosphere is strip mall, basic dining room, paper napkins, casual. But everything was very clean. I live 20 miles away from this restaurant now and we have a couple good Vietnamese restaurants in my own town. This place is still my place to go. I and my husband always order their noodle soup and fried rice. The broth is great, not oily or smelly, just right level of deepness. Their fried rice is great, not like Chinese fried rice (I also like Chinese fried rice), but there is just something different and special. A Noodle dish with barbeque pork on top is also tasty, as it smells and tastes like grilled and flamed. The staffs are friendly although this place can be very busy as it becomes full often and as people ask for a take-out of their leftover food very often. It means their food portion is generous. This place is amazing! I can't get over how yummy their food is! My favorite is the V5 it's lettuce, noodles, bean sprouts, delicious pork, yummy crispy shrimp and an egg roll with broth on the side. Saigon Pho was ok. The portion size was on the small side. I had a vermicelli bowl, and was a bit underwhelmed. Not a ton of veggies. Fair amount of pork, which was pretty good. Don't come here!! Hidden charges and the lady cashier is unreasonable and money hungry!!! We came twice but the last visit was where we caught the hidden charges. For their regular Pho, they soup stock is nearly half way to the bowl so we asked them to add a bit more soup stock so it does not become a dry pho. They did bring us the additional but also charged WITHOUT even any verbal informing. I remembered this place didn't sell Vietnamese sandwiches before, but now they do! Went in because they had grand opening specials from the Grapevine. Came in about 30 min to closing time and was seated right away. Ordered BBQ beef and BBQ pork sandwiches and 2 avocado smoothies with tapioca. We normally don't eat sandwiches for dinner but wanted to try their sandwiches since it was one of their grand opening specials. $2.75 each for the sandwiches. Great deal! Surprisingly they were really good and the bread tasted freshly made! Will have to come back and try other things on the menu next time. Service was not bad. She just forgot one of our avocado drinks, so we had to remind her, hence one star away from perfect. We were asked if everything was ok and she was nice. Didn't feel like we were rushed and made it out there by the time they closed. Originally plan to make the drive to Davis for some pho however, a coworkers of mine highly recommended I try this place. To my surprise It was really good. Small venue but a big bowl of pho with lots of flavor. Nice friendly staff that know how to keep your cup of water full. Can't believe I'm just now finding this hidden gem! 2.5 star review on 1/16 I wish I could give this place a higher rating but there was a lot of things I had to deduct from... Cleanliness: Very much a hole in the wall pho restaurant. It was rainy today so the floor was wet - extremely wet. The whole entire place (bathroom included) was soaked and difficult to walk in; it was kind of funny to see the employees slip and slid while walking to and from the kitchen to the lobby. Pho: I could tell the broth was about a day old judging from the dark color and the saltiness. When it came out it smelled like a cake with all of the star anise they put in it. More broth than noodles/meat but it was definitely filling. Price was cheap (6.50 for a regular pho dac biet) Bun: I'm used to having loads of different veggies like mint and basil but I guess they don't do that here. Skimped out on the pickled carrots. The grilled pork was nothing special. The shrimp however was really good; it was fried, not grilled like most restaurants and the glaciers were perfect. It took a reaaaaally long time for it to come out though :( Thai tea with pearls: waaaaay too sweet. I asked for more ice so that it could melt out. Pearls were hard and not soft and chewy; understandable considering it was an hour before closing. Huge plus for them making the tea themselves though! Overall: you could probably find a better place but for the price (our bill for 2 reg pho, bun with pork and shrimp, Thai tea = $26) it's pretty cheap. Service is very fast and friendly (not fast and furious LOL), and their fruit smoothies are to die for!
