This is by far the best Thai food I have ever eaten Not only delicious bit the place is spotless, the playes are colorful ceramics with beautifully plated food artistically placed upon and within them. Finally a place to get some great Chinese/Vietnamese food, that isn't in the city. Having to drive all the way to Chicago is a killer on gas; this local joint is well worth it. Some of the best Banh Mi and Pho around! It seems like most of this stuff is hand made by the husband and wife run restaurant. We had the Vietnamese Egg Crepe. Perfectly sweetened and thin, the egg provided a crisp home for the stir fried onions, bean sprouts, chicken and shrimp. All of which is wrapped in lettuce and dipped in sweet sauce. I had the Bang Mi (Beef). The marinaded beef and light vegetables mixed with Dikon and cucumbers all put together into a roll of French bread come together for a great meal. Couple that with an avocado boba drink and you're golden. The food is fantastic although the actual atmosphere is rather sparse; with that said though it is expected with a simple mom & dad restaurant. I was craving a bahn mi and found this place on Yelp. I ordered a bunch of food for our Friday night: lemongrass chicken, salad rolls, bahn mi, beef and an avocado smoothie. The grilled steak banh mi sandwich is delicious and very inexpensive. The bread tastes freshly made and the steak is marinated in a sweet sauce. I meant to take a picture, but it was too good to stop eating. The portions are relatively large for the price. I will definitely be returning to try other things in their extensive menu. read more

This evening, I decided to try something completely different, something I've never had before. I decided on the Saigon crepe as I had seen this dish on a cooking show. So happy I tried it!! It's not at all like a French crepe, it's super thin and very crispy, filled with shrimp, chicken and veggies. It comes with a bag of lettuce and fresh herbs. It's up to you to make your own lettuce wrap. Comes with a sweet dipping sauce. So delicious, my new favorite!! read more

Came back here again, this time with my sister and Mom. We arrived a little after 4pm. We were the only ones there. A little boy was helping setting the tables. He is the owner's son, Mr. Hong. He is a gentleman, as always. Very nice man. An older woman was also cleaning up the tables. Our server was polite and knowledgeable with a few questions we had. Since we got there after 3 pm, they stop serving lunch specials. So we settled for the entrees. We started with the shrimp spring rolls. Those are a must. Very fresh. They are fairly large too. I had the two egg, one sausage, one Vietnamese ham, two lemongrass pork chops and rice. It came with a nice soup, garnishes, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Everything was delicious. It wasn't too salty nor greasy but just satisfying. My mother had the beef pho and my sister had the three lemon grass pork chop entree. For the price, I think it's worth it. The food doesn't leave you feeling sluggish nor sick but it sure​ do make you feel satisfied. And that's what we all were after leaving. I'm glad to have made my way up here again. read more

The owner has his family working with him daily and you'll see his guests know him quite well too. It's almost like visiting someone's kitchen! Heard about this place from a girlfriend that frequents it. She's always talking about how delicious everything is and the friendliness of the owner. She was absolutely right. I ordered the beef banh mi. Always wanted to try the classic Vietnamese sandwich and it did not disappoint. Perfectly toasty bread and awesome combo of flavors made for an amazing sandwich.
