Daughter ordered California rolls, xiao long bao I ordered green beans, seafood udon soup.', pepper tuna tataki and skydiver. Gr beans were so good. Udon noodles was pretty good-- I didn't eat the artificial crab in it bc I hate those things. Both the beans and udon broth were kinda salty. The tuna and skydiver was just ok. This place is a hidden gem! I'd like to get them more business and spread the word! Every dish I have tried is delicious and full of flavor! They also have lunch specials! The wait staff, management and hostess are extremely friendly and I've gotten acquainted with them since I am now a regular customer. My mother and I go at least twice a week. We live one minute away and we've been going here for years, mainly to-go. The flavor has not changed in many of the dishes that we love. General Tao chicken, Kung pow chicken wonton soup. Spicy bean curd has changed, less peppercorn. Other fine dishes are Pepper Beef, spicy beef, spicy fish, house fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg drop are good. Salt and pepper squid good. I got some takeout last night consisting of cream cheese puffs, fried rice and a shaggy dog sushi roll. I enjoyed the cream cheese puffs! It was nice and crispy, and I loved the flavor in the cream cheese. There was a unique sauce mixed in that I noticed which I think is what stood out to me. I absolutely LOVED the shaggy dog roll! It was soo well seasoned and again had this saucy-ness to it that just made it taste better than other shaggy rolls that I've had. I will say the fried rice was just okay to me. It was a little dry which made rice seem like it may have been leftover rice but it wasn't terrible just not my favorite. read more

This place was a hit or miss on some items. I've seen this place close to my house for a long time, but never really thought of trying it, until yesterday. Came here and the place was completely empty, so we got sat right away. Sushi was okay, the one with cooked beef on top was the best out of the three we had. The baos we got were not good, I wouldn't get them again, but I understand that this place isn't a dim sum place. I really liked the beef fried rice tho! It was pretty good. My main complaint was that we saw a chef pick his ear and we didn't know if he washed his hands or not, that was just nasty. I mean, I hope he did, but you never know. Giving them 3 stars is being nice. Food is mediocre and prices are high. There are many restaurants booming in the area so the owners and investors need to go through their menu list and the quality of food. Nothing stood out to me. If anything, it's just the ambiance, friendly servers, and how clean it is. No matter what time you go, you will notice the dining area is never full. Maybe 5 tables at max. It's a shame because within the 2 plazas that are across, they barely have any competition. It if you drive 5 minutes towards Aliana, you're going to notice a lot more options. read more

Nasty food period. How difficult is it to get it right every time?! This is the kind of business I have given to many chances to get my food right. I have had several dishes from them very disappointing! Just recently I stopped in I chose them out of all the places on this strip alone. The rice was very old and nasty. This place is located so conveniently near my house. Every time I come inside it is always dead. The inside decor and ambiance feels very nice and clean. I always go here because I'm craving sushi but don't want to drive far. Their sushi's are fresh. The cuts of fish that I always get are always good. Their sushi rolls are very creative. Most of them are very delicious, however the cuts of rolls are maybe sometimes too generous compared to regular traditional Japanese restaurants. The taste is just slightly above average. Don't get me wrong, there isn't much complaint about this restaurant in general but just stating the fact that it might be a bit too Americanized. I got the Vietnamese spring rolls today and for $6 it was just 2 spring rolls cut in half and it wasn't even Vietnamese spring rolls! If anything, just the rice paper - that's it. Everything was completely different. They had shrimp tempera, lettuce and mango served with Thai chili sauce. It was interesting to say the most. 3/5. Volcano roll 3/5. The crunch was too much and there was so much sauce, drowning it. Baked salmon roll 4/5. This has to be my favorite of the day. The taste is good and the flavors aren't overwhelming. Viva Las Vegas roll. 5/5 for creativity and the portion size. 4/5 for taste. This is just something you'll have to try. Really can't explain it. My guests ate because they were hungry, but they commented that the food was not tasty. When I called the manager said it was free and hung up the phone. This is the local "go to' for Asian food. I mostly get "to go" orders and they are usually accurate and well out together. They also give you lots of food. I've eaten inside, once and the place is very nice. The staff is not very friendly and it may have something to do with the culture. The menu have so many items to choose. Service at first was bad when no one greeted me until I walked up to the bar but in mean while they make it up. They started my lunch with jalapeño cream cheese which is pretty flavorful. Than salad and miso soup, salad was fresh and crispy but the miso taste like water when they put a lot of tofu and seaweed so where is the miso flavor? I ordered delivery, the Bao, 2 sushi rolls, and Thai Tea. The delivery was great. The Bao buns were pretty good, but could have been pre-made since the meat on the inside was in a perfect ball detached from the dough. Would be better in restaurant, the lettuce leaf it sat on was shriveled and they all stuck together. However, the Thai tea and the salmon skin rolls tasted like cigarette smoke. My impression was that the actual salmon skin would be on the outside of the roll but it was the "meat" of the sushi. I ended up throwing out the tea (which I RARELY do) and mustered through the rolls. The sushi was also warm, which made me think it had been sitting out not iced, which is not safe or appetizing. (Maybe that's because it was packaged on top of the warm buns container?) Also, you can tell from the photo that the rolls were small and not properly rolled (there's an individual pocket of rice). I decided to try this place since it's in the area but will make the extra effort of going into the Kroger nearby to get sushi instead. I prefer it. read more
