    Biscuit & Gravy
    Emily P.

Great service, delicious food, nice farm-like but upscale atmosphere. We came here for brunch and we all really enjoyed every dish we ordered. I got the biscuits and gravy and I've never had such delicious gravy before that didn't feel so heavy or greasy. Everything tasted fresh and felt thoughtfully made. All of the servers were friendly and attentive, which made it a good experience for us. I'd definitely come again!

Great eats, excellent service (shoutout to Cee) and beautiful decor nestled in Belmont Shore! [Asian Chopped Salad] -Great for a warm day -Cool, crunchy, zesty and a tad smoky from the roasted edamame -A must have for the table and a cool way to get in some roughage [Bone Marrow] -Likely my favorite around -Hearty, flavorful and herbaceous -Excellent way to get in some natural collagen [Duroc Sausage] -Solid side for some extra protein -Juicy and of great quality [Mac & Cheese] -Creamy, sharp with a great crusty top -The truffle is balanced and adds a bit of umami

The food is good! The eggs are hit or miss, one of my Benedict's was over done and the other was cooked perfectly. The fingerling potato's are flavorful and slightly crispy. The service is good. It's efficient. The ambiance is clean and has an upstairs as well.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. It was easy to get a table without reservations at the rooftop. Our waiter was very accommodating and it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy our meal and chat without feeling rushed to leave. They checked on us often to make sure we had enough drinks. i was very impressed with the pork belly lettuce wraps they were so delicious.

First and foremost, our server was Ce and she was amazing! Super attentive and very funny but helpful. Recommendations were great and it was pretty fast! The SMOKED TRI TIP HASH blew my mind. A base of fingerling potatoes that everyone loved. Stacked with bacon and tri tip. Topped off with bits of broccolini, eggs and a chipotle sauce. It was deeeeelish! The cocktail VIOLETS REVENGE was not too sweet and very good! The ESPRESSO MARTINI was also perfect! Loved it! Overall very nice place to go. Pretty and yummy with great service. I really enjoyed my birthday brunch!

This food was amazing and worth every penny. We sat upstairs and the bartenders were great. We ordered three cocktails, a beer, the Parker house rolls, hummus, risotto, lamb, and basque cheesecake. Everything tasted perfect. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We liked that they had heaters upstairs and a tv to watch the Dodger game.

Came here yesterday for the first time. I was with my daughter and decided to try this place for lunch. It is a great looking restaurant with a nice second floor . You can sit up there and get a nice breeze and people watch at the same time. The service is also great , the staff is very attentive. My daughter ordered the traditional breakfast and I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. My daughter liked her breakfast ,she especially liked how creamy and soft the eggs were. Her dish came with bacon, a couple of slices of sourdough and some fingerlings baby potatoes. I think that is my biggest complaint. The potatoes are just seasoned with Parmesan cheese and that is all . They aren't sliced, they are seasoned they are just too plain. So much you can do with those potatoes and yet so plain.

Made reservations for 11 AM Sunday brunch. But upstairs is open seating. Service is quick! Servers are helpful. Food was tasty & drinks were delicious! Parking's always tough on the weekends; metered, street, with a 2 hour MAX. Restrooms are upstairs. They have an elevator.

Worth a visit! Reservations recommended for their dinner area on 1st floor. We did place our name on the list however made our way to 2nd floor which was self seating, first come, first serve. I ended up liking the vibe and atmosphere here more, considering the lounge seating, outdoor setting overlooking 2nd street, and music that was played louder but still reasonable here compared to 1st floor. We had the braised short rib appetizer, cranberry chicken, and seared salmon. Such beautiful, elevated dishes, flavorful with each bite. I normally am not impressed with dessert at restaurants but to my shock, the smores dessert was everything and more! Decadent, rich, not too sweet, the perfect balance. Drinks, perfection. Please note this isn't a trashy place. The drinks are elevated, with details and what I hope to be housemade syrups and flavors. Annalise was attentive to us, despite how busy it gets upstairs. She was sweet, personable, welcoming! An absolute joy. As was Juan, who was prompt with checking in on us and making sure our table was cleaned as we did have to switch tables when we got booted out of ours. He nudged us in the direction of dessert and glad we did too. Will def be returning.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch and honestly had one of the best experiences ever. Our server C took care of us and honestly provided the best experience ever: The vibe is cool and the bar is epic. But the food was amazing. Started with the French onion soup, the spicy tuna crispy rice and the mac and cheese. All 5/5! The tuna was fresh, the soup savory and the the mac and cheese gooey and full of flavor. The wedge salad with the steak was beyond delicious. And the chorizo tacos were to die for!

Wait Time: Arrived around 10 AM and had no problem grabbing a seat upstairs on the outdoor patio. Vibe: Lovely patio with that gentle brunch feel. Enough energy to feel fun, but calm enough to enjoy your coffee. Food: I ordered the Avocado Toast with soft-scrambled eggs, arugula, marinated tomatoes, parmesan, and pickled onions on grilled sourdough. The eggs were creamy and clearly well executed. The tomatoes and pickled onions added a bright tang that balanced the richness of the avocado, and the light salad on top kept it from feeling heavy. Service: Smooth and relaxed. Parking: Metered along Second Street. Easy at 10 AM, probably more difficult later in the day

Checked out Saint and Second for happy hour, though their HH menu was small, we tried about every food item on there and it was very delicious. Would return for the drinks next time, but the top (roof) floor was a vibe!

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots. Try the Baby Gee appletini while you're there. Mezcal, tequila, sake appletini you ask?? Yes. Trust. And get a hot dog. Do it.

I really wanted to love this place. The vibe was fantastic...great music, a stylish ambiance, and…read morean impressive selection of specialty craft cocktails. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

The gentleman politely said, these ladies were here first please take their order first, which the server did but was not so happy about. To our surprise the server still prepared his drinks first. The gentleman very surprised apologized since he knew we were there before him. With our drinks in hand we found a table with some empty seats. The table side where we sat had a sprite glass bottle and a glass that hadn't been picked up since the last party left. We moved it a side to set our drinks and finally enjoy our conversation. A different server came to the table and asked the gentleman next to us to get his empty glass and she completely ignored our side. She did another round and I finally asked her to pick up the bottle that was left by another party before us. I asked her for the menu again, she brought it but she did say that I had go back up to the bar to order any additional drinks. We decided to not order a second round and head up to the terrace.

The bartender who is also the barista was so welcoming. I love the historical aspect of this building and they did an incredible job with the maintenance of it. The marble and gold and earthly tones which are deep and rich! Sigh! They're open til 10pm... I'll be back

I'm always surprised when they're empty; the food is so good! Fresh, high quality and delicious. And the cocktails are some of the best in Long Beach. On top of that, they have a unique selection of tequilas and mezcals. Super underrated spot. Service is always pretty good to great! We usually get some excellent servers. Friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. Definitely must try the ribeye taco, sopes and octopus if you want something smaller. The ribeye steak, whole fish or leg of lamb are also outstanding. Some items come with their homemade, blue corn tortillas. So yummy. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend! Parking can be a challenge, as is normal in the area. Don't let that discourage you!

It's where all the action of the restaurant is in my opinion. Very well decorated nice and warm atmosphere cool ambiance and great and friendly staff. The chips and salsa is where it started and is very good chips taste homemade and salsa is very tasty. We tried the different tacos they have, they were all good but I think the Ribeye taco is hands down my favorite. With the rice n Beans, black beans like no other very flavorful and the rice is not your Mexican rice your used to. It's white rice with butter and it hits the spot right on. Drinks are great as well . I will be back Cheers
