Laid back bar with great cocktails and fun and fancy gourmet hot dogs made with the top notch ingredients and the best fresh baked buns. . And in the way back - a hidden barber shop! We took our college age boys here and they loved playing the old school video games with us. read more

What I'll say is they kill it with 4 separate areas , they are: -rocking atmosphere; the location is great... nice ambiance, neat layout ... feeling like I wanna get my hair cut there soon! -drinks selection; I went with a Pilsner... and I was in happy place and then some post opening sips! -food; love me the chilli dog... only needed one; great presentation too! And -service; top notch... my server was friendly and very helpful with recommendations! I'm there for beer and to play video games that I played when I was young. Great cocktail list and the service is always friendly and prompt. Awesome atmosphere too. The hot dogs are super tasty but my only knock is that they aren't large so I can probably eat about three. Even a Smokey option would be pretty sweet. read more

Can I do negative stars? The two blonde bartender/servers there on Thursday night (9/26) were so unbelievably, jaw-droppingly awful to my aging parents when I brought them in for a cocktail that we decided to skip ordering anything but one drink. My 63 year old dad was genuinely interested in the music they were playing and asked the server a question about what they were playing. She was so awful and dismissive that everyone at the table felt nervous. My father then ordered a PBR and she rolled her eyes disgustedly and stormed away. They should absolutely be ashamed of the way they treated my family, I could tell my dad's feelings were very hurt and I'm furious. Hire new staff that aren't cokehead little brats and maybe I would try it again. read more

I was surprised with this cocktail/barber shop and Frank place. I tried a total six franks with my favourites are bizzle dizzel, rueb and chili dog. the service is nice the location and ambiance is nice for quiet intimate and groups alike. this is one of the vistiges of the hipster movement but nicely moderinzed. Yay! I LOVE Saint Franks. Every time we come to visit Victoria (across the water from WA State) we end our night here. The drinks are strong and priced really well. My husband and I always love to get the Dirtbag Combo/Special: Pabst and a shot Jameson. The hot dog situation is killer. The big mac hotdog is crazy good. Most importantly, everyone who works here is insanely friendly (but not in an annoying way) and they always have rad music. read more

I checked this place out this last weekend. It is pretty cool looking inside. They are clearly trying to attract the hipster crowd. We ordered 2 Moscow Mules. I was disappointed as they were weak and they were not served in a copper cup that made the Moscow Mule famous. It was not a Moscow Mule. As we drank our drinks we had a look over the menu, we were surprised at the number of spelling mistakes throughout. Nothing really grabbed our attention. The pinball machines in the back were cool, but the Barbershop gave the place an awkward feel. As I mentioned it is clear what crowd they are trying to attract, but it is not clear what they are attracting them for. Is it a food place, beer or cocktail place? Their food did not standout, they only have a small selection of beer and the quality of their cocktails do not match the price point they are asking for. There are lots of places in town that do all of these well. For an improvement, I would encourage them to focus on one of the areas I mentioned and do that well. read more

When I first walked in I thought, "wow, what a great place!" Fun atmosphere, great crowd...but unfortunately really unpleasant service. Server was not very attentive, and incredibly rude. I gave her cash for a drink and wanted to leave a tip so waited for change. She ignored me and moved on to others at the table. When I asked for change She actually said "no" and walked away! It was very strange. I approached her at her station and asked for my change. She actually got angry with me. I felt humiliated and insulted. I'm quite confused by it all. No frills bar. Great Hotdogs and well priced drinks, I'll be a repeat customer. We tried the Bahn Mi Dog, Nacho Tots and Mac and Cheese. Reminded me of some great bars in Williamsburg. They also have some of Victoria's best barbers working in the back, perfect for a late night trim. read more

I slipped through the front doors and was immediately struck by the lovely, warm, and quite manly decor. I took a seat at the bar. Very comfortable seats. And someone took the time to put coat hooks under the bar. Behind the bar were two splendid ladies who were very friendly and helpful. However, the beer selection was very poor indeed. They were out of the two Hoyne beers on the list. Which was fine with me. It seems every bar in town has those two beers on draught. You know the ones I mean. The beer I ended up with did taste nice and was very fresh. For "dinner" I had the Saint Franks hotdog. It had some nice flavours. Right there, unfortunately, is where the fun stopped. The crispy onions that were on top of the dog were cold and not crispy. The sausage was a bit shriveled and about as girthy as the index finger of a small child. The bun tasted nice and had a great texture. However, it completely engulfed my pathetic little sausage. Very poor sausage to bun ratio. As if that's not bad enough, I paid $12 for the displeasure. Way over priced for an uninspiring snack that could have come from the back of a truck. A massive piss take by Saint Franks. read more
