This place exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a nice restaurant with good reviews to try in ST. Augustine and stumbled on this place. Food menu had a nice variety and location was prime for shopping and site seeing. Our server Avram was phenomenal. He was easy going and had exceptional timing. The food was exquisite! For a starter we had the thousand layer potato, main entrées were pesto and mushroom chicken and short rib Sainte-George, and for dessert we had the Sainte-George raspberry Praline cheesecake. This charming restaurant is located directly across from the fort. We had a spectacular view of the water at sunset upstairs. It is a narrow deck and the staff didn't wear masks but the food was delicious. I had the vegetable platter with hummus and we shared a scallop starter which was plenty of food. The waitress gave us a split of champagne to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice surprise. The pistachio torte for dessert was worth it. We tried this place last weekend for brunch. I chose it pretty much based on pictures on Yelp and location, since it is new and didn't have many reviews. Let me tell you that we had a fantastic experience! Mike was our server and very knowledgeable about the menu and substitutions that our party could do. We had a party of 9 which they easily accommodated. I tried the short ribs hash which was delicious. I did add hot sauce (because I like things spicy). They carry the Asian chili garlic hot sauce that I love so extra bonus points for that! We did not try their mimosas but saw other guests trying them and they seemed happy. The restaurant itself is very clean and elegant, like a fine dining event without the fine dining price. I will definitely come back! read more

I swear this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and our waitress Adrianna was amazing. We came here for our anniversary dinner after reading so many good reviews and we were NOT disappointed. We ordered a charcuterie board, lobster corn dogs, French onion soup, seared tuna, filet mignon, and for dessert we had a lemon blueberry cake and chocolate cherry bread pudding. We also had the berry sangria and lychee martini. The charcuterie board was delicious, the cheeses were sharp and the presentation was great. The lobster corn dogs were also good - they weren't our favorite thing we ate but they were exactly what we expected them to be. The French onion soup was DELICIOUS. I am a French onion soup connoisseur and I order it whenever I see it on a menu. This one did not disappoint and I'd highly recommend it. The filet mignon was soft and cut like butter. The sauce on the filet was AMAZING though. It comes with fries and we dipped the fries in the leftover sauce and it was one of our favorite parts. We had a side of the addictive pancetta asparagus which was, like everything else, very good. The seared tuna entree was incredible. The tuna was cooked perfectly and probably some of the best I've ever had. Onto desserts! The blueberry lemon cake came out first and we thought it could only go downhill from there since it was so delicious, but OH. MY. GOD. The bread pudding!!! This is probably the best dessert I've ever had. It comes with vanilla ice cream and it's insane! Our waitress told us its her favorite dessert on the menu and I'm so glad we tried it! The lychee martini was good but the berry sangria was 10/10. I would 100% recommend this place and if we're in the area again, we will be coming back. read more

The price of the meals are WAY to high compared to the quality and quantity you get. A Caesar Salad with chicken, should not be $24 and the salad should be more than just a wedge salad for that price. I left both still hungry and disappointed in the price. The only thing it has it nice decor, but feels out of place for the nations oldest city. We have been here for dinner and we're very happy with the meal and the Service. I left a five star review. After coming to Brunch on Mothers Day we did not have that same feeling. Our server today was Charles. He took our drink order and my wife ordered a Mimosa and I ordered a Spicey Bloody. The drinks came and all was fine until the table behind us ordered a Mimosa. This table had a different server who asked the patron what flavor Mimosa would you like and then named several options. We did not get that option. Next the food arrived, my wife got The pecan Waffle and Chicken. Very small amount of pecans, possibly a teaspoon. I ordered the Short Rib Hash. It was very good but very small! I ordered a side of toast because it did not come with the meal. Out came 1 slice cut in half dry. Really??? My suggestion is to increase the size of that breakfast and charge more! Include the toast! All you did was take a good coustemer and chased us away. read more

There are so many amazing restaurants in St. Augustine. Do not squander your time or your money at Sainte George. But if you must experience this restaurant, know that the asparagus is amazing (even if you don't like asparagus, you will love this!). The tenderloin is a safe bet as is the short rib. My Aperol spritz was excellent, and their wine list is very good. The Wagyu beef special was sliced very thin and was unpalatable. Mike, our waiter, was having a bad day and our experience suffered because of it. He was very upset (and communicated this clearly) that he had to go downstairs to get hot water for a member of our party. He was quite unhappy. To make things worse, our bill had errors that took a long time to resolve. Be aware that there is already 20% added on to the bill for gratuity. It would be nice to be informed about this when the check is dropped. There is also a very small "Kitchen Experience" fee. read more

Went here yesterday for the first time and it was worth the drive to St Augustine. Service was great. Food was delicious. Ambiance and decor was gorgeous and definitely loved the vibe. Had live music yesterday and that was a nice surprise. We had the scallops and lobster corn dogs - must try. For dinner we also had the tuna, short rib & special filet mignon. All delicious. The tuna was spicy and I quite enjoyed that kick with the forbidden rice. Definitely a must try. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was incredibly impressed when they called me 3 hours before my reservation which was in their outdoor space and it was raining and offered to re-seat us. Wow - what service. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. We arrived 15 minutes early for the reservation and a sign on the door said "Closed" but the Hours sign and website said open 11am-10pm. So we tried the door and it opened. A woman rushed over and told us to wait outside in the rain because they didn't open until 5PM. When we were finally admitted, they explained that they had to close for 15 minutes to change over from their brunch set up and seated us. The food was okay - some excellent, some awful. Our friends ordered what the server described as a Caesar Salad, but with Butternut Squash. The server said it tasted just like romaine. Three of us tasted it and said it tasted strange and nothing like a Caesar Salad. The short ribs were reportedly excellent. There was nothing that interested me in the entrees, so I ordered soup and an asparagus side dish which were good. Portions are small and we all ordered desert. All but mine arrived. Everyone else was already finished when mine finally arrived. The possibilities here are good. I hope the missteps with closing the door and leaving us out in the rain are fixable, and perhaps the owner and staff find another way to change their setup that doesn't materially impact customers poorly. I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience, but I'd just like to have the fine dining experience. read more

My boyfriend and I celebrated our late anniversary dinner here and we loved it!! Very romantic setting and great service. Sat for about 10 minutes before our waiter came (we weren't upset at all! we are servers too so we know how it is) and due to the "inconvenience" he gave us our first round of drinks on the house! Everything was delicious! I got the Pesto & Mushroom Chicken and my boyfriend got the Forbidden Togarashi Spiced Seared Tuna which all came out so good!! Stay away. We had a drunk waiter with boogers coming out his nose, slurring his words and over salty, dry food that was prepared by someone with no taste buds or knowledge of food in general. Their shrimp pasta is literally spaghetti and will make you sick. When we walked in I noticed a maintenance man in the kitchen flirting with the waitress. His greasy tools were all over the prep tables. All the makings of a great Mothers birthday! I called them the next day so they can try to make it right and they refused. It's really sad that some person can take a prime spot in st Augustine like that and run it into the ground as hard as they did. And I really don't care about civility at this point - when you consciously produce and peddle garbage you deserve to be called out publicly for it. I implore everyone to Stay away unless you want to be sick puking and out $200. The health inspector should check out this place. The sooner it closes down the sooner it can be replaced by something worthy of the location. After my experience, I am hoping and praying for your quick demise. read more

We live locally and just heard of this new restaurant. We went in for lunch and were really pleased. I got the beet salad, presentation was beautiful and taste yummy. Absolutely amazing! We were definitely not dressed for fine dining having walked around St George Street all day but decided to try it out. I'm so thankful we did, we were welcomed in with open arms and had an amazing dinner. Mike was our server, he was extremely nice and very well educated on the menu. However, I ordered the lobster Benedict for brunch and it came out over cooked. The lobster and egg were both hard. I mentioned it to the server and she was very apologetic and immediately went to the restaurant owner to discuss the issue. The owner said there is nothing they will do about it, wild move by the owner. The owner also didn't even come to the table. One shining light during this situation was again our great server who grabbed the manager who did offer to comp one mimosa. I took my husband there on 6/15/24 for his birthday. We were both disappointed by the meal. The ricotta bite appetizer was really good. We both ordered the ribeye and we were both disappointed. It was ok at best, and people we met at the restaurant said the same - all ordered the ribeye. Our server was wonderful. The staff were accommodating - I mention this because there was an angry customer who made everyone around her uncomfortable. Nonetheless, the staff tried to make her happy and diffuse the situation. I was really looking forward to the meal, and I left feeling disappointed. I wouldn't normally share, but I heard the same thing from others. I decided to post about it because I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same experience. We frequently go to St. Augustine, so we will have other places to try. For those who don't go there regularly and really want to find an excellent restaurant, I cannot recommend Sainte-George. Perhaps their other menu items are better. Don't order the ribeye. The music was nice and not too loud. Overall ambience was nice, but I cannot say that about the food. read more

Stopped by yesterday and ordered the Pesto & Mushroom Chicken Pan seared stater chicken breast stuffed with pesto, accompanied with locally sourced wild mushroom forestiere sauce over quinoa, roasted seasonal root vegetables and pan roasted wild mushrooms. When my plate arrived it came with a very small chicken breast, thigh and leg and a very very small amount of pesto. No where did it say on the menu I was getting thigh and leg meat. When I saw "chicken breast" I figured that's what came with some bone and I was fine with it. I was not happy with what I saw in the plate but I thought I would at least try it. When I cut the thigh and leg meat that were cooked together it was raw inside. I was completely disappointed. When I told the manager about my dish she immediately tried to disregard that the meat was raw and focus on the word stater which means it comes with a bone. I reluctantly ordered something else that I did not want. Never going there again. There are many amazing restaurants I have eaten here in St. Augustine. read more

The wife and I went to St. Augustine for the horse-drawn carriage ride. Got there early enough to eat, but EVERYWHERE was crowded with lines out on the sidewalks. We walked around a bit and found this little place. There was a greeter outside by the door. We spoke with her and found out they had a table open so we decided to try it. It was AMAZING! The atmosphere was great and the food was exceptional. My Filet was incredibly tender, and the wife's Salmon was amazing. We will DEFINITELY be going back soon! read more

Loved eating at this place so much we ate here twice during our stay in St Aug. The short rib poblano hash was the favorite for breakfast. So unbelievably good. I would recommend getting the salmon on the eggs Benedict as the lobster was rubbery. When we came for dinner, Kyle got the tuna dish which he enjoyed and I got the scallop dish. It was out of this world..perfectly cooked and the balsamic with the garlic was such a delicious combo. They also had a sangria drink special with sake in it that I loved. If you're in St Augustine, you should def book a reservation to eat on the patio here...the views and the food are amazing! read more

This is honestly the restaurant St. Augustine needed. Fresh food and bangin' drinks at a reasonable price. No other restaurant in St. Aug has decent prices AND good food. Brunch is awesome, the mimosa flight is SO GOOD. Expect gourmet food at a decent price & the service is awesome. I live here, and have been three times in the past two weeks!!! The food was great, and would have warranted a 4 to 5 star. The service was not awful, but was not great, and did not warrant the mandated custom tip of over 20% that was automatically added to our bill , on a party of 2, by our server. It wasn't a percentage which we wouldn't have liked all the same, but would've made more sense than the custom amount that our server wrote in himself and charged our card prior to allowing us to accept the charge or not. Mind you, we tip anywhere from 15% - 40% depending on the service, and on average tip 30%. We are part of the service industry and feel staff deserve the tips they make. We however feel it's in poor taste to automatically assume you deserve an inflated amount for just doing your jobs. When asked, the server told us that this was allowed by their manager and they can do it when they feel it's warranted. I'm having a hard time understanding what would have warranted it. We were not a large group, we didn't sit for a long period not ordering food or drinks, and we were gracious and polite. I know I should've kept the conversation going, but also feel it's in poor taste to argue over money. I hope this restaurant rethinks the way they allow custom mandated tipping by their staff. read more

Wife & I booked a weekend away for our 29th anniversary & made reservations at this fine dining establishment. The restaurant is fairly new to the old city & we wanted to have a great dinner on our special night - we hoped they wouldn't disappoint. We arrived early & got checked in ... there was a small wait at the entrance on St George Street. The kitchen is downstairs & all seating is upstairs; indoors at tables or at the bar in the back ... or they offer outdoor seating on the wrap around balcony. We selected indoor seating as it was still hot & about to rain. Mayson was our server - very attentive & could tell immediately she was on-point! After going over the menu with us, she took a drink order - wine & beer only as others have noted but a good selection of both. Wife had a glass of a French red & I had a Jai Alai from Cigar City Brewery while we mulled over the menu further ... we chose 2 apps - the Blue Cheese Balsamic House Frites & Lobster Corn Dogs. Both were awesome - the frites could've been cooked a tad more as I prefer a slightly crunchy fry but the flavors were excellent. The lobster comes with 2 pieces on a kebab stick with a stone ground mustard & daityl ketchup ... great tastes but very different!! We also ordered a traditional French Onion Soup - loaded with onions & cheese ... a nice sweet flavor but need a bigger spoon. We ordered dinner - the wife got the Pan Seared Scallops & I got the Wet Aged 7 oz Filet ... I switched out the frites to the compressed fried potato to keep w/ the chef's potato side. First off - the Scallops include 4 large select pieces & a polenta that was creamy & rich. The scallops were seared & cooked to perfection. Nice texture & tender. The filet was also perfectly cooked at Med Rare as ordered. The reduced Demi-glacé was plentiful beneath the meat & added excellent flavors to the meal as I smeared it across the plate - exquisite!! As we were winding down our entrees we decided we needed a sweet desert to top off the excellent evening. Many choices but the bread pudding made with croissants & blueberry / blackberry sauce with a scoop of vanilla was stupendous! Overall, this restaurant has figured out how to provide a high level of service in an industry that is unfortunately suffering today. How they've attracted server talent must be a closely guarded secret but they've done it! Mayson was amazing, attentive & pleasant. She was present but not hovering ... she refilled glasses & checked on us throughout the dinner while providing light, polite commentary. We asked her if it was alright to keep the menu & select food items as we dined & she obliged. We were impressed & will be back to try other items - Well Done! read more
