Lunch special. 3 rolls for $13

I mean, It's sushi in Beaver Dam. They can make a roll. Some of the special rolls are great. Service was very good and it's a nice quiet Dinning experience. Might I also suggest, getting an order of French fries. They are fried like tempura, and are absolutely amazing.

Every experience I've had here has been extremely positive, and tonight exceeded those standards! For background, I didn't realize there was another Sake House location. I ordered from the location in Watertown (accidentally), so when we went to pick up in Beaver Dam, they obviously had not idea what we were talking about; but, once I realized we'd ordered from the Watertown location they were the absolute sweetest (about MY mistake) and remade my order from the BD location in under 15 min. Aside from the amazing service they consistently have, the food is ALWAYS on point. I've had sushi from CA, FL, NJ/NY, Korea, etc., and Sake House's spicy tuna roll is still the best I've ever had. Any roll you get here is totally worth it. Fresh, never fishy-tasting, and well-made. I can't rave enough about this place. Tonight we ordered hibachi chicken, a shrimp teriyaki bento box, and a sushi order of a spicy tuna roll and an avocado roll (along with a side salad, miso soup, and a house salad). Literally everything was to die for. We were charged a $1.50 convenience fee, which I haven't seen here before, but would pay 3x over just to have the food! Props to Sake House, and I'm very glad these guys are surviving the pandemic! 100/10 dentists recommend.

Bottom line: awesome service -awesome food. We were on a road trip and mid-afternoon (3:30 pm) we were hungry for lunch and I was hungry for Asian. I checked out Yelp and saw the ratings for this place so trusting my fellow Yelpers, decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We were surprised to see the restaurant in a strip mall but upon entry of Sake we were warmly greeted and floated to our booth as soft music played into the background. The decor was pleasant and relaxing and seated allowed for a peaceful intimate conversation. We only had water (with lemon) to drink and Started with a plate of crab sushi rolls and pork dumplings. The dumplings were fresh and hot and delicious. Likewise with the sushi rolls which were wrapped in a sliver of mango and served with the customary wasabi and ginger slices. The General Taos chicken had the right amount of heat for spice and was Served with rice and two spring rolls and the combination (chicken/beef/shrimp) soba noodles were fresh and Mildly seasoned yet delicious. I like spicy food and could have asked for some Hot sauce but ended up pouring a dish of sweet hot sauce that was served with the spring rolls. It added another layer of flavor To The soba noodles that were Really tasty on their own. We are looking forward to coming back to try more from their menu. After the initial review we have been back here several times and have never been disappointed. Food is always fresh and delicious. This time we splurged (as in calories) and tried the fried ice cream. My husband had never had it before and he thought it was awesome and especially liked the coating. It was like a tempura batter then deep fried with the ice cream inside. It is served with whipped cream with Cherry on top drizzled with chocolate syrup. I have had fried ice cream at a Mexican restaurant before and preferred that coating to the tempura like coating. Regardless, it was still wicked.

Even in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin you can expect to find me eating sushi. This place surprisingly had the most reviews in the area though so I trusted it. Sure enough, the restaurant was crowded on this Monday night. I got the sushi app, seaweed salad, and royal roll. The fish was okay, nothing special. We had also gotten the spicy salmon dumplings, but these were not what we were expecting at all...first the waitress forgot that we ordered them but when they were brought out after our meal we were shocked. It's essentially spicy salmon pieces surrounded by avocado. No one liked how mushy this appetizer was... Another average meal in Wisconsin. Not too much to do out here but at least they had sushi!

Beaver Dam!!! Who knew this would be a place to find a fantastic little sushi joint? I came in during the week for lunch and this place had over 9 tables consistently. A surprise to me in a small town like this for sushi on a weekday. The lunch specials are great! Filling and not overpriced. I kind of wanted a bento box but I'm too addicted to sushi to pass that up for a hot asian lunch. If I was back in the area for lunch I'd definitely stop in again.

I'm not sure what to say here. The reviews were great the food wasn't. The ginger, soy sauce and wasabi was the best part. I ordered spring rolls - definitely frozen and cooked or tasted that way. Crab Rangoon - not bad. Da bomb roll - condiments comment. And the combo Yaki soba- steamed meat and noodles. No sauce or flavor. I would've thrown it away if I didn't have pepper sauce and Sriracha at home. Very disappointing effort in my opinion.

Previous review still relevant. Great place that never disappoints. Hidden gem in Beaver Dam.

I'm glad to see they've resumed dine in services since the Covid. It's clean but a bit busy & cluttered near the bar/front entrance with takeout orders, unrolled silverware, & cleaning solutions but they still managed to squeeze me in at the bar. The woman behind the bar was very attentive & polite & BUSY, what a popping little joint today!! I ordered a bit of a variety off the lunch menu along with a few a la carte favorites; house salad - ice cold but soggy on the bottom, pre made? Spicy tuna roll perfect amount of spice. Eel avocado roll - YEAH, those flavors just work great together & the inside just kind of melts away! The classic Philly roll - that Smokey flavor with the cream cheese really gets me, very good!! I'm going to give the eel roll the win today! Shashimi time - first up; octopus - yes, good flavor & a good bite. I saved the best for last, my personal favorite; mackerel - shoot, I may have had too high of expectations for this one, it wasn't terrible but not the best I've had either. Prices were good, food was above average, staff was excellent I'm torn between a 3 star or 4 star... if I had the chance I'd go 3.5 but will round up today because of my waitress's attitude.

Good, newer, nicely decorated Japanese place. The servers were unexpectedly knowledgeable about the menu and the different sauces that came with some items. We ordered the chicken and broccoli dinner, California roll, and tempura roll. It's really good value as the chicken dinner came with fried rice and two egg rolls for $8.59. The rolls were very good with sweet and sticky, soft sushi rice. Don't be deterred by the strip mall appearance. When we arrived this place was more hopping than anything else around!

Wow, large menu with items for everyone, plus great drinks! The food was pretty decent quality for being a Japanese place in Baraboo, and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. The prices were decent, a lot of it is ala carte so it adds up fast if youre not getting a main dish! The restaurant is a smaller space so I wouldn't go here with a big group but it's a nice casual place to go with your significant other or another couple. The service was good, we had a very attentive waiter. It's not very decorated or unique inside like a lot of Baraboo restaurants but it's clean. Nice to have a different flavor option in Baraboo! Would go again.

We found our seats and placed our drink orders. 2 more parties came in afterwards and were seated. They received their drinks and place their orders. The waitress came over to us and we placed our order, still no drinks. About 10 minutes after we placed our food order, we received our drinks. Cool. Food came out and they completely forgot an order. We were told it would be out soon. 15 minutes later it came out and was wrong. However, the person that was missing the food said not to say anything. We asked for no vegetables in the fried rice and there were vegetables. We ate, paid, and left. In the early morning hours, I had food poisoning from the sushi I ate which was the little tokyo roll. It was the only thing consumed that day. Extreme pain throughout the next morning. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Between the service, missing order, and food poisoning, it was horrible.

Definitely a spot I was sleeping on, but not anymore…read more I'll admit, Hana Japanese Restaurant was completely off my radar for way too long, but now it's the only place I'll go for sushi. Once you find your spot, you find your spot. Fair warning: walking in for the first time, the place looks almost too small to be legit. But don't let that fool you. Most nights it picks up and you realize pretty quickly this spot is the real deal. The rolls here are just consistently good. I have yet to have a bad one, and at this point I've had enough to say that with confidence. Our table almost always orders the Diamond Roll (teriyaki steak on top, yes, really), and I have zero photos to prove it because it disappears within seconds of hitting the table. Every time. My personal go-to's are the Tomo and the 007 Roll, both of which I'll be ordering until further notice. I recently branched out and tried the Oceanside Roll, which was a really refreshing change of pace. Glad I stepped outside my comfort zone on that one. Service is solid. Nothing flashy, but they're polite, attentive, drinks stay filled, and in all my visits they've never once gotten an order wrong. Honestly, that consistency goes a long way. We also tried the crab rangoons. They're fine, decent, not mind-blowing, but the dipping sauce that comes with them is surprisingly spicy. A little unexpected, but it works in its own way. If you've been sleeping on Hana like I was, wake up.
