I saw the great reviews and decided to try this place out. It did not disappoint. A little pricier than other local AYCE sushi spots, but worth it for a few reasons: 1- Fast and attentive service. After placing our initial order, we were enjoying our miso soup in about two minutes. The rest of the food came out before I could finish my soup. 2- The minimal amount of rice used. The nigiri had about a grape-sized ball under the fish, and I don't think the rolls could have used any less rice and stayed together. Pretty awesome that they don't try to fill you up on rice. 3- The menu had tons to choose from. 87 different options for lunch, including kimchi, which was delicious. I've gone to several AYCE sushi restaurants and I thought I had a favorite place, but after visiting Sake I have a new winner. This place hits all the boxes. Reasonably priced, fresh sashimi and nigiri, great service, and lots of seating available indoors. Most AYCE sushi restaurants only offer nigiri on the menu, but this place also does sashimi. I was extremely surprised and excited when the waiter brought out a beautiful array of all the sashimi I had ordered. I also really liked that the hand rolls were not actually rolled, but instead served in a taco-like manner. I have been here no less than 10 times including with family and friends. Every single time the food has been delicious and the service was extremely fast. Both their lunch and dinner options are reasonably priced for an AYCE option and their a la carte option allowed my less-than-hungry companions to enjoy their time without breaking the bank. The experience was simply better than its sushi (zero wait, more available servers, faster food, less people, brighter ambiance, chill music, spread out seating). There's only one $40 AYCE option that includes nigiri and sashimi, equivalent to its sushi B menu. Everything was decently sized and no order limit. Sushi tasted really good and looked wonderful. We didn't even get a chance to order because the service was so disappointing. The waitress cleaned a table for us, then motioned for us to come over and tossed the menus onto the table. When we asked about ordering sushi without doing the all-you-can-eat option, she seemed annoyed and tossed a second menu down as well. I brought my family here on a weekday to try their AYCE lunch menu. The interior was very spacious and clean. My wife and I didn't have any expectations but we were quite suprised by the quality of fish here. I think I found my new favorite AYCE sushi spot! I live closer to downtown Sacramento and let me tell you, this was well worth the drive. I'm a big lover of sashimi and I felt like I hit the jackpot here. Everything we had tasted fresh and flavorful--which I don't always see with ayce sushi restaurants, especially at this price. Some of my favorites included the garlic edamame (so addicting), "salmon lover" sashimi with the best tasting mango I've had in a long time, and the foothills roll which was absolutely delicious. I don't usually order tuna nigiri, but I had a piece of my friends and it just melted in my mouth. I don't always see regular tuna nigiri cut like that so I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I definitely made ourselves comfortable in the booth and enjoyed the ambiance. Hopefully we didn't overstay our welcome lol! I've visited several times and it has been great. It was a new AYCE spot in the neighborhood and we decided to give it a try. Every time we visited we've always been seated almost immediately. So first things first - the nigiri have a nice fish-to-rice ratio and it's not overly seasoned and wet. The rice is small enough that it allows the fish to really shine. I was surprised by the presentation of the assorted sashimi that we got (pictured below). The staff were nice and welcoming. Came here a second time expecting the great experience we got the first time. To start we ordered miso soup, which was disappointingly not good. It tasted bland and diluted, and had very small tofu pieces in it (too little for the price). For sushi we ordered the Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avacado, Yellowtail Maki, and Alaska Roll. The spicy tuna was very, very spicy, unless you like more spice and less fish taste I would not recommend it. The salmon avacado was good and had nic proportions. The Alaska roll was good as well. Though I did not have the yellowtail Maki, the person at my table who ordered it said it was good. For special rolls, we ordered two Rainbow rolls (one we ordered last time), and one Pink Lady. When we got the special rolls, the Rainbow roll had crab in it (not clearly listed in the menu that it had crab). Due to one person in our group not being able to eat crab, we wanted to clarify and ask what it was. Unfortunately, the lady who came to help us did not seem to understand, and took the plate to change the roll. We believe she was asking if we wanted the crab changed to salmon, so we agreed (we were not going to change it at first, as we had only wanted to ask if it was crab). When she brought back the rolls, the Rainbow roll was stuffed with a minimal amount of Avacado and ton of cucumber rinds. We were very disappointed and took a lot of cucumber out. The pink lady was good, but the spicy tuna was too hot again. When we finished, another server came over and we told her we didn't have a good experience. We told her the situation with the Rainbow Roll, and she said due to it being busy, they made a mistake (not even half of the restaurant was full, about 4 tables other than us were occupied). We also mentioned the other lady saying she would substitute the crab with salmon, and the server said she forgot about it. When we told her about the menu and where we were confused about the crab, she said she had never seen the menu before and asked to see it (I was very surprised when she said this). It does turn out that there was a different word used for crab on the menu, so that was on our part. When we said we had just wanted to ask about the crab and were not thinking of having it changed before the lady mentioned it, the server told us sometimes they don't understand questions, and that we could call another server next time. Unfortunately we will not be coming back here and I do not recommend. read more

All the rolls we received were almost inedible because they contained super mushy fish and avocado, and the rice was either really undercooked or pretty old. The nigiri we got was the most disappointing and had a stringy texture and was also very mushy. The overall vibes were very odd and the restaurant was very empty, even for after lunch time. Tako Yaki also good. The galbi was not well prepared and very chewy. We ordered a few sashimi dishes...they were ok. One of them was so fishy that it was inedible. The staff really took their time taking our orders and we had to flag them down for more food orders. There's a 90 minutes limit for dining. This place is a hidden gem. It's a nice new restaurant with great air conditioning, I only mentioned this because I recently went to another all u can eat sushi place that didn't have air conditioning.
