This place sucks. Before pandemic started coming here and thought it was ok. During pandemic supported this business picking up food every other week. Spending $80-$100 each time. When they reopen their dining, their service and food started lacking, missing sauce and food was not good. Tonight was the worst experience. Ordered at 5:30 and was advised that it'll take about 1:10 mins, we went ahead and ordered and willing to wait. But after an hour and ten minutes we there and when we got home, we had missing stuff from our bento box and all our food that was supposed to be warm was cold. We went and called to complain and they answered with brings back the food and will refund you the money no apologize. Just don't care. They are disgusting to be asking for food back. So beware, if you go there you might be getting someone's reject. Greedy people. Will never be coming back here again. And will make sure to post all these bad reviews in every social media to make sure others in Montclair/Upland/Ontario/Rancho will never make this mistake again. The sushi is wonderful, wether ordering from them over the internet or through door dash the quality of the sushi is delicious. You get what you pay for. Was looking for soemthing to eat and it was already late then saw that they were open until 12! Called and the worker was super friendly and I went ahead and ordered pick up. Pricing is similar to most sushi places. Food was done quickly and when we pick up she was so sweet and let us know that after nine they give free gyoza and she also gave us a soda! Sushi was really good and fresh! Gyoza was soooo good as well and of course it was nice to get a free soda as well! Really happy with the service, food and presentation of the food. My best friend and her boyfriend regularly frequent this sushi joint and invited me along to check it out. It's next to a Trader Joe's and Michael's, which is totally cool and convenient for me next time I'm in the area. The restaurant had some nice Japanese decor and was nice and clean. We just ordered a variety of rolls and shared all of them. All of the rolls were very good and looked great. My favorite out of all the rolls had to be either the Popcorn Lobster Roll or the Crunch Roll. Everything was really tasty though, no complaints. Well, my only complaint would be that the restaurant is called Sake Sake and they do not have a good variety of Sake. They serve it either hot or cold, and that's it. If I want sushi, I expect good, fresh sushi. This place is a ripoff. Seaweed wrap is extremely hard to tear apart, and the fish was too harsh of a texture to swallow. Sushi is served on a hot plate ? You're asking for contamination. Once raw fish reaches a certain degree, bacteria is growing at a rapid pace. The proportions are small. Something you would buy off a 7 Eleven. I also saw the chef drinking a beer at the sushi bar. If the owner wants profit, give good quality, fresh rolls. Not 5o% off and get customers drunk off their minds. Plus, wait is extremely long. When I went in April they had a promotion going on and I don't recall if it had to be after a certain time, so you might want to call and check, but it was like: 50% off California rolls/hand rolls, Order 3 Rolls and get your 4th roll free (YES! 4th roll was free), Buy 1 Hite Beer, Sake, or Soju... get the second one for $0.01. There were other promotions too, but I can't remember them all. Their rolls were just right and I always love me some Philly rolls. Also, because it was my friend's birthday, the brought out free tempura green ice cream for us to celebrate. Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Not very busy which is absolutely fine by me. They have $1 sake bombs all day every day which is awesome! Our sushi chef was Jason and while I personally didn't talk to him because I was sitting at the end, he spoke quite often with other people in my group and they liked him. What really made me like this place was the presentation of the sushi. They are large rolls and the plating is amazing. They don't look like your stock, run of the mill sushi rolls. They are big and you want to devour all of it. There is a King Kong Roll which comes with 20 pieces! I forget how much but it was pretty tasty. The Salmon Lover is also a solid choice. I got the Big Philly and I thought it was very well done as well. My favorite of the three was the Salmon Lover. They also have a couple TVs to watch the game which is nice. My only gripe is the chairs at the bar were not very stable. I had to try 3 different chairs before I found one I could lean back in safely. The first two were missing a screw so it was wobbly. Other than that, this place is a solid choice for cheap drinks and good sushi. read more

I don't ever write reviews but I felt the need with how uncomfortable my girlfriend and I felt. The food is really good, but the service was not. This was a celebratory dinner after passing a big exam so I was excited for sushi. My girlfriend and I like to try and share different rolls. We always end up with left overs and we don't mind eating them the next day. Whats started the uncomfortableness was a comment made by one server about how much food we ordered and that it was "too much for the two of you." Initially the comment didn't bother me because I mean I'm the one spending the money here. It wasn't until I just felt like we were being watched and talked about. We were on our way home to LA from Palm Springs along I-10 and decided to look for a Japanese restaurant. In Upland, CA, we found one and we're very glad we did. It's a small "hole in the wall" type resto but don't be misled by its appearance. For starters, customer service from Sam was superb. The food tasted excellent and their servings were not the typical Japanese food servings. They were generous. You can feel that they value you as a customer because even their utensils were not the typical run-of-the-mill take home utensils. Lastly, their prices were very reasonable and not typical of other Japanese restaurants. No inside sitting but there are three tables outside. They only cater to pick-ups...no deliveries. But it's definitely worth the extra step of picking up you food. read more
