Been here several times. Great everytime. I've always had the hibachi chicken or steak. Sometimes the Express bowels.

Fried rice is nothing more than white rice with a bit of soy on it. Ordered the steak and chicken hibachi dinner and a kids chicken hibachi, the dinner was kind of tasteless, there was a total of 8 tiny pieces of chicken and 5 steak, maybe a total of 1 oz, the loaded it up with veggies almost like I ordered a veggie dinner and some leftover protein got mixed in, even if it was a lunch order it would be considered a very small order. The kids hibachi chicken was basically the same size for half the price although there was double the chicken and no veggies. Really not a good value, $20 would have been better spent at the Chinese place right next door (ate there a few nights ago and it was far better). If your on a diet and prefer a veggie place Sakura8 may be just the place for you, if you are hungry this isn't the place read more

Very delicious Hibachi place!!! Spicysalmon roll was cheap just like a side dishes. But Hibachi was amazing. I enjoyed Teriyaki chicken hibachi with Friedrice & my friend also love the Shrimp Hibachi with steam rice. Highly recommand! read more

I love hibachi food so I'm open to try anything new! This place opened right by the target and Kroger that I frequent so my fiancé and I headed over. The hibachi chicken was delicious. The veggies were fresh and not over cooked. The staff is friendly and the food is served quickly. I also got miso soup which was hot and good. I tried the clear soup when visiting a different time and wasn't as impressed with it but that didn't take away from the hibachi chicken being great (which is what I come for). Asked for salmon roll and it was tiny. Bit into it and it was slimy, salmon was dark and not fresh. Sent it back and just asked for California roll. Again tiny roll, it was ok nothing special. I did not get an apology or a refund difference for roll. Will not eat here again. Yuck!! read more

It was snowing and there wasn't many options available for lunch so we decided to give it a try!! We ordered two chicken plates. A teriyaki chicken and a hibachi chicken and steak. We also tried out the sushi. A tuna roll and a tempura roll. We spent about thirty dollars but we were satisfied! We even ate the left overs a few hours later because it was really delicious!! Really great prices for rolls. They make all the food fresh, so it takes a little time for them to make it, but worth the wait. Absolutely delicious and big portions to fill you up. I had Philadelphia roll, which was incredible. My boyfriend got hibachi which was delicious, little pricey, but very flavorful and fresh. Nice staff willing to answer questions. Wanted to like this more and there were plenty of pluses - large portions, fast and friendly service, nice menu, reasonable prices. I just thought the food was too dry and surprisingly lacking flavor. They should probably add spice seasoning, with the option to choose different heat levels. I've found that little hole in the wall locations usually have the best food, and Sakura 8 is no exception. My husband got the Thai fried pineapple rice, it came with chicken and shrimp for only $8! I grabbed the hibachi chicken with steamed rice and it was great on its own. A little onion/zucchini heavy but it has a great flavor. I say on its own because I added ample requisite white sauce, which is fantastic here. I was really in the mood for something brothy so I got an onion soup as well. It's just the clear onion soup you get at hibachi places. It was okay, other reviewers have said it didn't have much flavor, and I would agree. Though for only a $1.89 they give you a ton! So much I shared with my husband. Overall, the food was good and cheap. What more can you ask for? read more

I'm giving this place 5stars for the green curry alone. I was turned on to it by a coworker who had been to Asia and claimed it was the best curry he ever had. Came for lunch and had a Philly roll and shrimp pad Thai without any hot sauce. The sushi was good and a really good price for 8 pieces. The pad Thai was so so. It wasn't horrible or great. It may have been better with the hot sauce but I can't handle spicy food. The shrimp in it was awesome though! Nice flavor and they give you a good amount of large shrimp. My son had the kids teriyaki chicken and fried rice and really enjoyed it. They give a pretty big bowl of it. We will be back. read more

The food is good, fresh, and well prepared. The decor is simple, almost spartan. It's a new restaurant and I hope they bring in some art for the currently bare walls. I ordered the pad thai with beef and it was good with the right touch of spice -- I do not like very spicy food. If you want your order more spicy, you can ask for it when you order. One thing I didn't like was using plastic cutlery and foam plates that were inappropriate for what I ordered. I would have appreciated more drink selections, including hot tea and thai coffee, perhaps they will add that to the menu. I ordered the crab rangoon as an appetizer and it was very tasty, a good balance of sweet and spicy. Overall this is a great place for thai food and they have a broad sushi menu. The kitchen is open so you can watch the food preparation. I'll go again and try different things. Maybe next time I'll try the spring rolls, another of my thai favorites. read more

Fairly new opening so things may get better. Was lunch time and was a steady flow of customers but not crazy packed. I ordered a jumbo shrimp bowl and shrimp roll, all to go. While waiting I noticed that a dish at a time was coming ready for each table. So everyone couldn't eat at the same time. One table had a very mad person who didn't get her food until her party was finished. There was a bit of a loud fight about it. I got my food 28 minutes after ordering. The roll was great. But the bowl was bland. They didn't give me any sauce. I like white seafood sauce with my shrimp dishes but didn't see any at the counter and forgot to ask. So it was just grilled shrimp and broccoli on plain white rice. Shrimp was cooked perfectly but again, very bland. I think it would have been good with seafood sauce on it. Also the order taker and sushi maker were constantly arguing. And I could tell there was a language barrier. read more

Great Thai and Japanese food. This is a new restaurant and Garner and I really enjoyed what I have ordered so far. We had the Phad Thai and honey chicken. The Phad Thai was tasty and seasoned just right. It was not dry at all. The honey chicken came with pineapple and butternut squash and it was my favorite dish so far. Prices are very reasonable and favor a Japanese express type feel. We ordered takeout but the restaurant was very clean and had plenty of comfy booths. They also have an assortment of sauces avauble at the front for done in and takeout so you don't have to bother employees when you want more yum yum sauce or ginger sauce. Came in to the restaurant an hour before closing. It was very clean in the dining area and the kitchen. They had a good variety to choose from. Since it was so late we didn't want a huge meal. There were 4 of us, 3 ordered a noodle/rice bowl which was a perfect size portion. The other ordered an entree which was good size portion. All of the food was cooked fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp tender. We were just visiting the area for a college tour but if I lived closer, I would definitely go back. read more

Any dish with shrimp is a rip off. I hot the side with an entree. The entree had 3 shrimp in it and the side which i paid $5.29 for only had 7 shrimp. I LOVE their Crab Rangoon. I mean, I can't get enough. At work we call it crab crack because it's so addicting. They're not the best looking rangoons I've seen, but the taste makes up for it. 1000x. I was looking for a quick lunch with my two year old while we were out running errands and decided to try this new spot over our usual Chick-fil-a. Overall we were both really pleased. We ordered hibachi chicken just to be safe for our first experience and it was great. A large plate of food enough to fill me up after giving my daughter a bowlful. Everything is cooked to order and well-seasoned. Their shrimp sauce is good and the restaurant in general is clean and bright. It was just as tasty as the hibachi restaurants where they cook in front of you but for a fraction of the price. You have to be ok with eating off styrofoam plates with plastic utensils, but otherwise a good spot. read more

Good food, prices, and friendly staff. The hibachi is pretty good, probably the best I've had at a takeout place. The white sauce is not watered down like at most takeout Asian restaurants, and tastes good. They cook everything to order and even have booths so you can sit and eat if you want. I ordered pad Thai and couldn't eat it because of the monumental amount of fish sauce they used. The vegetable tempura seemed to be made with big panko bread crumbs instead of batter. Bad service and terrible food. I had eaten hibachi steak and chicken here a few weeks ago and it was good, like you normally get at places like this, and served up in a reasonable amount of time. Last night I ordered the panang curry, there were a few others in the restaurant but it wasn't busy. One lady says waiting for her order when I walked in. Well, I waited, and waited, and waited while the staff continued to work at a leisurely pace. After sitting there for *30 minutes* I went to the counter and asked about my order and was simply told "not ready". A few minutes later the lady who was there when I got there finally got her small, simple takeout order. I got my food after waiting for *40 minutes*, and instead of panang curry like I have had at numerous places, I got a bowl full of onions with a few pieces chicken in a pale yellow watery soup. The smell was enough for me to not bother tasting it, I was so fed up with the whole experience that I threw my entire dinner in the trash and left.
