All you can eat Sushi TO-GO
    Sami U.

First time at Sakura Nami! Me and my sister were seated immediately and our order was taken shortly after as well. The Crab Rangoons were solid and the Sushi Rolls were okay. The restaurant has a chill ambiance. For an all you can eat sushi spot this experience was ok.

An AYCE place that delivers when you're really, really hungry, but otherwise would definitely pass. We only came here because our previous AYCE place closed down and nostalgia amongst our group brought us to desparately search for another AYCE restaurant. Environment: When you enter the restaurant, there is no front of house staff, and you have to walk past the front stand before you're acknowledged by anyone. There were many open tables on this Thursday night, so we were able to sit down quickly. The ambiance was pleasant, as you'd expect from a sushi restaurant, and it was clean and didn't smell fishy. The service wasn't great-- we had to ask for basically everything at our table except plates (i.e. napkins, chopsticks, water, and soy sauce cups). We were also given a funny stare when we asked for a third AYCE ordering menu. This is an AYCE place... right? Food: The sushi was sub-par to average at best. The rolls/nigiri were garnished and presented well on the plates and looked appetizing; however, these rolls were LOADED with rice and only a strip fish. The fish barely met the quality that you'd expect from an AYCE place, and some of it felt gamey, like it had been frozen and thawed. Definitely could tell they were trying to cut corners here. The price point in December 2022 is $29.99/person, which seems like a steep ramp up from just a few months ago based on other Yelpers' reviews. Given the quality and ratios of fish/ingredients to rice, we don't think that's fair. An upside (and a probable cause for the lower quality) for this AYCE place is that they have one of the larger selections of rolls/nigiri that we've seen. The redeeming quality here are the appetizers. The absolute star appetizer is the Jalapeno poppers (4.5/5); we highly recommend getting those and all of the other appetizers they have to offer (other stars are the cocktail shrimp (4/5) and crab rangoons). All of the appetizers were hot, cooked to order, and appeared really fresh. Rating: 2.5/5, poor service, sub-par sushi. The appetizers are this restaurant's saving grace for this rating, but not enough for it to earn the 3/5. Nonetheless, we left really full after 4 rounds, but the quality was obviously lacking. Chances are, we'll be searching for another AYCE place in the Chicago suburbs.

Sushi all you can eat selections (apps, miso soup, dozens and dozens of sushi and sashimi options)

Clean restaurant and impressive menu, but the sushi was lacking flavor - it doesn't compete with other sushi places around here. Sashimi was small. Crab Rangoon was soft and had an off flavor. Nothing impressive besides the potential of an all you can eat menu, but even that was priced higher than some of the western suburban AYCE sushi places. Beautiful presentation. Didn't allow for cucumber wrapped roll substitute.

The crab rangoon appetizer was actually my favorite part and it was really good--cooked evenly, warm, small, light breading. But for an all you can eat location, it was an odd/bad experience going to an ayce place, and actively choosing not to eat more (even though we weren't full) because the taste wasn't worth it. There was way too much rice in the rolls and nigiri pieces. The rice itself was a little bit too sticky, so they cooked it too mushy. And something about the seaweed in the rolls, tasted off to me. It was my first time thinking a salmon roll tasted weird, AND there was a lot of rice packed in! Miso soup was also bland.

    Gyoza, they were okay!

This place was okay. My sister and I were on a venture to find a new All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurant. This one in Clarendon Hills was around 35 minutes away from us, but we decided to try it. The sushi was very mediocre. Some rolls were falling apart, and we just didn't like a lot of their ingredients (like their spicy mayo and other sauces). The service was very slow despite it being super dead. Usually I'm very understanding with wait times for getting your meal because I was a server myself for years, so I get it. But in this case, it was just so dead and I saw a good amount of workers at the front of the house and in the back of the house, so I didn't understand what the hold up was. I saw a lot of servers doing side work, like rolling silverware and putting together menus, but no one really come around a lot by us. We waited a while for our sushi rolls and they came out around 10 minutes apart. Overall, I don't think I'd come here again. It wasn't a terrible experience or anything, but it just doesn't feel worth it coming back here again.

Sakura Nami (7.5/10) AYCE Sushi Lunch ~$23 after tax and 18% included gratuity for party of 5 or more. Nigiri (8.5/10) Salmon was very good. Everything else was standard. There is a lack of variety for the lunch menu. Highlight was the fish to rice ratio. Rolls (7/10) Ordered a variety of special rolls and regular rolls. Lunch doesn't include unagi nigiri but it does include a unagi roll. Would recommend the Christmas roll. Appetizers (7/10) Would recommend the crab puffs. It is a mini crab rangoon that has a good ratio of filling to wrapper. Gyoza was also good. Vegetable tempura needed salt. The server asked if there were any vegetables that we didn't want. (Which was a bonus). There was also a lack of variety in this category. Overall this AYCE sushi restaurant is solid for the price. The quality of the fish was above average and the nigiri have very little rice. There was good service and little wait time after ordering.

We ordered via GrubHub for delivery at nearby Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook. I'm sure it would have been even better to experience our meals in-person, but we decided to play it safe and eat in our room. Beautiful food. Miso soup and two vegetable rolls for me. My husband got a sushi platter, a couple of eel pieces, soup, and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious, and a good price. I mistakenly ordered Spring Rolls, thinking they were vegetarian, like spring rolls from a Thai restaurant. They are not vegetarian. My husband ate them instead. About $65 for two people, with service fee, delivery, and tip added. Not including drinks or dessert. We got those out of a vending machine at the hotel. If you are staying at the Hyatt Lodge, highly recommend this sushi restaurant for delivery! We will definitely do this again!

The rolls are very meaty. They treat you like family. The management is very nice. They give you so much for the money.

Anytime I've been in town and have a sushi craving, this is my go-to and has been for the past 5 years. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the menu has a wide variety of options - including appetizers, traditional rolls, specialty rolls, and so on - and the food is always fresh, made-to-order, and leaves my tastebuds doing backflips! This time around, we ordered our usual appetizers - crab rangoons, shrimp shumai, chicken karaage, & miso soup - as well as a handful of rolls including the color dragon roll, regular dragon roll, fire dragon roll, yelllow tail roll, the sweet 16 roll, and an assortment of nigiri and sashimi. We ordered enough sushi to have it served on a boat (which is always such an exciting feeling!!). As usual, everything was fresh and tasty! The highlights of our sushi boat were definitely the fire dragon roll and the color dragon roll; DYNAMITE flavor! With all that being said, I highly recommend Sushi Nova to all folks that are willing to make the drive out to Westmont and are open to having a delicious experience with loved ones!

Service was friendly and checked in regularly ensuring we had drinks topped off and any new orders put in. My party enjoyed the presentation of sushi placed on a boat, the good service, and decor. The restaurant was nicely decorated with Japanese style wooden slat walls. We were quickly given two ice waters and the table had the menus and the appetizer plates, napkins, and chopsticks. We ordered two ramens: one original and one spicy. Original: Husband had this one. I tried the broth, and it had an authentic Japanese pork broth. Super rich, fatty, and umami if you like those types of flavors. Spicy: I love spicy ramens and find original broths a little too decadent for my tastebuds. So I usually end up ordering a spicy version. This broth has a light pork aftertaste with a spicy note. The corn was a surprising yet fun texture add to the soup. Bean sprouts brought an extra crunch to the soup as well. Kimchi was well fermented, and the perfect stage for adding to a soup. The noodles were al dente, but I wish they were cooked slightly longer. I'd give the dish a 4/5. The standout aspect of the restaurant was the service. At a certain point the spicy broth had gone down the wrong tube and I was struggling, lol. The server noticed and brought over extra napkins without my asking. All in all, great restaurant to stop by for lunch or dinner, especially to warm you up during the Chicago winter.

Our server, Gary, was so kind and went above and beyond to be friendly, attentive, and give our group a good laugh. My friends started with a Sapporo beer and glass of sake. Their drinks menu had some familiar options but catered to authentic Japanese flavors. For starters, we got the Pork Dumplings and Tempura Zucchini, Sweet Potato, & Avocado. The vegetables tasted fresh and tempura was fluffy and crunchy; not greasy. For mains, we shared a bunch of rolls. We got the Godzilla, Boston, Spicy Tuna, Vegetable, as well as (2) off menu rolls. I loved that the vegetable roll let you pick 2-3 veggies you wanted to make it a unique flavor. The Sushi Rolls were well priced for the size we got. When asking for signature roll suggestions, a server told us about some off menu rolls she highly recommended so we knew we had to try! These two were easily our favorites of the night.
