We really like this restaurant. The tempura shrimp dinner with veggies, salad and soup is excellent. The tuna, steak or chicken terrryaki are good also. We do not eat sushi, but the presentations are gorgeous. read more

I enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner. The veggie sushi and the ginger salad are both really good. Also like the veggie udon. The thing that I don't like about Sakura is that the waitresses tend to be trying to rush you through each part of the meal, when I just want to relax with my loved ones :( Please tell your staff to be more relaxed and provide a better atmosphere to customers. read more

Our food & waitress were great. When we asked about the Happy Hour we were shown the beverage menu to pick from. We emphasized being interested in the 2 for 1 selections & no mention was made of house brands at all. The waitress took our order including beverages from the Happy Hour, we thought. After a good meal & equally good service the check came. This was a $72 check for two people, which was not a problem until we noticed being charged for two drinks instead of one for the Happy Hour. At this point another women came over, guess she saw us puzzled by the check, to, we thought, correct it. However she told us in no uncertain terms that the drinks we ordered were not included in the Happy Hour & it said so in little printing at the bottom of the hand written blackboard sitting on the floor by the front door. When we explained to the women that we ordered thinking it was a two for one special as they were promoting she very irritatingly told us "we should have read the sign". With that we paid our check & went to the manager at the front desk. He was just as arrogant as the women we spoke too & repeated the same thing. I explained to him that he runs these Happy Hours to bring customers into the restaurant & here he is losing one over a $6 charge on a $72 check for two. It doesn't make sense. Needless to say neither we or anyone we know will be at that restaurant again, which is what I told him. The food preparers & servers are excellent but this place needs new management. This is the second time we were there on a Saturday evening & they were half empty when restaurants in that area are packed. Don't waste your time or money, there are plenty of other fine Japanese restaurants in the area. read more

Food is good but the service sucks! Called in an order, came in and it wasn't ready so I went to Publix, 50 min later and it's still not ready! Expect a long wait and no compensation! I call in orders here a lot and I have never had a problem. read more

We ordered a large variety of rolls and sushi for 7 adults and 5 children (under 10); we needed to go out for a 2nd meal. In my opinion, the rolls were extremely petite compared to grocery store portions and the quality of the fish was about on par with grocery stores. read more

First of all it's a pseudo Japanese restaurant run by Chinese and this is probably the underlying flaw of this establishment. I ordered a rock shrimp appetizer that was incognito, coated in Chinese fry batter, not tempura batter. It was crunchy but greasy and its etiology not able to be ascertained. Same for the soft shell crab which was battered and fried then rolled into a "California" roll that did not use sushi rice. The "crab" meat was dense and did not taste like crab... not even fake crab. Eel hand roll was overtly full of rice (not sushy rice, either) and not well wrapped, so when picked up it came apart and the eel fell out, in fact I lost 1/2 of the eel to the floor (what was left of the eel was good). On the eel plate, there were 2 garnish shrimp, same chinese fry batter but taste and consistency, was a little off and it "poked" me when I bit into it. So, I unraveled the shrimp from the batter and there was mostly shrimp shell. I have a theory, that the garnish shrimp were a collection of shrimp shells and or tails in batter. Sakura's only saving grace was the staff. They were all very pleasant and good, prompt service but the prices were too high for a make believe Japanese joint... I will not come back. read more

presentation was good. tasted good. only problem was the time it took and the orders. they were good while taking our order and even read it back to us to make sure it was right, but when we (finally) got our food, some of our orders were wrong or mixed up. they forgot to make one of our orders and had to make it quickly. but i won't/can't be too harsh because we came here on christmas eve and they were packed so i should give them a bit of credit. read more

Got sushi takeout for a large crowd. I have gotten sushi from many restaurants and assumed the rolls would be comparable to everywhere else. They are the smallest portions I have ever seen. For my group of light eaters, our dinner turned out to be an appetizer. Given that the price was that of a full dinner, I am going to pass on this place. read more

Great sushi and hibachi, super clean and friendly staff! Nice atmosphere and a private room for larger groups. Never had a bad meal here.

Is give it five but it's my first time here. The staff is nice. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is quiet so far. If there were more people here it would be louder but I'll take it. I'm so tired of places where you can't even have a conversation. read more

I learned how to eat sushi here and have been hooked on it ever since. We now come here at least 4 times a month. I bring my fellow employees and my friend here. I brag on Sakura's to my clients. All the dishes have been good and the presentations picture worthy. My favorite is the spider. Born & raised in New Orleans, fried soft shell crabs are one of my favorite and they make up part of the Spider roll. Today, for my birthday, I had lunch there and treated myself to a Spider, as they are a bit pricey, $10.25. The chef was new and forgot about my order and I sat for an extra 20-30 minutes waiting and when it arrived it was like right out of the refrigerator. Let me tell you, fried soft shell crabs are very good hot, terrible cold. I ate very little of it, it is sitting like a lump in my stomach. I told the manager that the spider was cold and not good. He apologized for the wait, said the chef was new and forgot, but did not discount for the bad spider. Told me to go to yelp. So here I am. Very disappointed and probably will be a long time before I go back. read more
