Met a friend here for dinner and drinks before taking in a movie at the Uptown. Staff was welcoming and the restaurant/bar was dim and inviting. All of their margaritas sound delicious, and you can order any of them spicy. I kept it tradish with The Ultimate (Sauza Conmemorativo, Patrón Citronge, Triple Sec and fresh lime juice) and ordered it spicy. Our waiter presented a scale of 1-5 spiciness (love this!), and I bravely opted for a 4. He seemed impressed and I thought for a moment I might be in trouble, but it was perfect (read: very spicy! I would not go for a 5!). We shared chips, salsa, and guac to start which arrived as a tower of beauty and deliciousness. There are a few vegetarian dishes clearly marked on the menu, and I ordered the Tamales de Rajas (2 Vegetarian Tamales, Stuffed With Roasted Poblano Peppers, Corn And Cheese And Topped With Green Tomatillo Salsa. Served With A Salad Made Of Cabbage, Tomatoes, Onions, Avocado And A Little Mayo). I didn't care for the accompanying cabbage etc, but the tamales were decent. I think this is a good place for drinks. The ambiance was ok, music a bit loud but we were able to hear each other. Service was good our waitress was nice and friendly. The food definitely needs improvement, from quality, preparation to presentation. My son order came with a side dish, soup or salad. He ordered the soup and it was way too salty to the point that was uneatable. This place needs better quality control. As for us we are not going to be back, there's plenty of Mexican restaurants with better food. I'm not recommending this place. read more

Love this restaurant! The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome as soon a we walked in. There was a disruption outside that was annoying so we asked to be seated upstairs (it's so nice up there) and they were super nice about this request. Our server came to the table with complimentary bean tostadas that were so delicious! That was a nice twist from the normal chips and salsa. We both enjoyed our dishes. Came here on a weekday for dinner. Not very busy so we got seated right away. Free appetizers were served before we placed our order, which was a good surprise. I don't know what they were (tortillas topped with cheese & refried beans), but they tasted delicious. We ordered guacamole w/ chips & salsa, prawn tacos, and burrito. The food was definitely more than enough for two people. The guacamole was quite legit. I also liked their avocado salsa. The prawn tacos I had were very tasty - the grilled prawns were fresh and perfectly seasoned/grilled. The tortillas were very soft and smooth, well paired with the filling. I tried my boyfriend's burrito and enjoyed it too. The beef was tender and flavorful. My boyfriend liked the food but didn't think it was the best he had had in town though. This restaurant is a 3-5min walk from Climate Pledge so it was super easy to pop in before a show this last weekend. They were fairly busy, I think we were arriving just as a rush was ending. The hostess was quick in setting us and we were greeted by someone who brought us water and let us know that our server would be with us soon. A server brought us a delicious little appetizer (see picture) that was surprisingly spicy! We got our menus and waited a little while before our server came by to introduce himself and take my husband's drink order. We'd waited long enough that we were ready to order food but he zipped off before we could. It wasn't too long before he was back with a drink and we placed our food orders. The food was fabulous - I honestly wanted to clean my plate but just didn't have the room. The portion sizes are more than enough for one hungry person and everything we've had has been fantastic. This is a fun and loud place; very family friendly, especially in the upstairs area. Last week I went to this restaurant because I'm new to Seattle and I wanted to eat Mexican food. I'm new to this app too since I'm looking for things to do in the area and I found this restaurant and I'm really fascinated. The food is extremely delicious. The service is IMPECABLE, the girl who served me was very warm and friendly the whole time offering me different options on the menu. I also tried a new dessert that they have, which they call three milks cake and it was a very juicy dessert full of flavor, but at the same time not so sweet, I was left wanting more. I want to go back to this restaurant and order the enchiladas that I liked so much and not to mention the skinny margaritas are very good, I loved it. I will go back soon. read more

Great place for lunch or happy hour in lower Queen Anne! You get a free lil app, food is enough to satisfy a craving, and drinks are tasty. The margaritas are good but the spiked horchata is where it's at! The server warned me it was hard to have just one and he was definitely correct. Food is solid for the neighborhood and their menu covers a lot of items. One of my favorites is the red pozole, soothing and tasty for a chilly day. Came here for dinner takeout. My boyfriend had Carne Asada and I had fish taco + shrimp taco. I think Carne Asada was a much better choice than Fish Taco and Shrimp Taco. The tacos were not bad, but just a little underwhelming. I think the shrimp taco in El Grito in South Lake Union is way better. But I really like the restaurant itself, even though it was empty when I picked up my food, it looks like a place with good party ambiance during normal time. read more

Visiting Seattle and found this gem! The hostess allowed us to do a call ahead reservation which was awesome. She was very polite in showing us to our table when we arrived 5 minutes early, too! Our waiter greeted us immediately with waters. He was very attentive. We ordered right away, having already scoped the menu out front. This was AMAZING Mexican food. We had bacon wrapped shrimp, a strawberry margarita, and steak fajitas. The shrimp were SO good. The house sauce that comes in them has just enough kick to tickle the tastebuds! Honey isn't in love with the strawberry margarita, but he prefers blended to on the rocks. Wish they would have told him they don't do blended when he ordered / wish he would have asked. The steak fajitas are excellent. The veggie to meat ratio is a bit skewed, and the guacamole was less than a tablespoon, but the sauce and the tenderness of the meat didn't make me miss the guacamole too much. Overall this was an enjoyable dinner spot. It's not too loud, they have space to accommodate larger parties. Not sure on parking because we walked from the hotel, but there are some on the street parking spots. Edit: they don't serve chips and salsa before the meal and the ladies bathroom only has 2 stalls. Best Mexican food in Seattle! Family recipes from Michoacán, first rate service. Everything amazing, except the music just keeps getting louder and louder every time I come. No music is needed for "authenticity" as this place has been really well thought out visually. I wish this terrible trend of blasting customers with music would just disappear. Instead of the typical chips and salsa, we were served a tostada with refried beans, melted cheese with cabbage and a little tomato. It doesn't help that the front area is small, but regardless, there's no sense of organization. My husband and I came here for a quick meal before we went to a gig. Honestly it was ok. I was really disappointed with the quality of food. It was fine to eat but I wouldn't recommend it and I don't think I'll be coming back. Amazing spot! We are out of Cali and this spot was referred to us by a family member. Walked in and immediately greeted by a friendly individual. The bar is where we reside and it did not disappoint. The best part is they offer the entire menu on game nights unlike the other restaurants in the area. They sit as us down and we immediately inquired about to the two variations of carne asada. The regular and then one that was a little different with Jalapeños. I'm all over the spicy version. Next thing we now they bring us out this complimentary tostada. Damn that was some serious goodness. We inquired about the beans because they added a little heat to the tostada. The server/owner gave us the secret on the beans after we swore to secrecy. He said you will like the beans that come with your meal as you liked these. Our meals came out fast and we dug into the beans that accompanied our meals. And they were just ranch style pintos so they were not as good as the free appetizer. Next thing we know the server/owner brings us out small plates of the bean we favored. The food came out so fast that this allowed us to have another ice cold beer oh my was it cold. Our experience was so great we ate their the following week and it was just as tasty. Go give them a try 10 Mercer Street. 5 minutes from Alaska Airlines entry or 3 minutes from Mt. Baker entrance. A bitchin place for your pregame meal and post game celebrations. We were a party of 7 visiting Seattle and had dinner to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We made a mistake of not making reservations. The hostess told us that the wait was 30 minutes, and it was over 45 minutes. There were empty seats downstairs but we couldn't go there since we had teenagers & it was bar area. Our server was not friendly and when she carded our daughter for alcoholic drink, she didn't acknowledge that it was our daughter's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their entrees; however, my carnitas was disappointing. It was small portion size and was dry & not tasty.
