The sandwich was supposed to be warm and when we went in there approx 10 minutes before the recommended 25 the order was already ready, waiting and cold. If we'd waited another 10 the bread for the sandwich probably would have been soggy. But good for them time wise getting it done.... If you want something cold/room temp. The sandwich was sad. Maybe a spoonful of chopped chicken on it. Maybe would have fed a toddler but not an adult ordering it. The good thing I can say was the chipotle sauce was good. "Spread" with unnaturally mint green substance on center of bread slices, bacon had to be cooked further at home. One sandwich was cut in half, other was not. So many problems with this place. It's so unfortunate because I feel this place could be so good. The food mediocre at best, but what frustrates us mostly about this place is their service on DoorDash. They're constantly taking orders, and either cancelling the order or running out of items on the menu. I really wanted to like this place, but the food quality just isn't there. The lettuce in my Chicken Caesar salad was brown and clearly past its prime -- I was shocked they'd even serve it like that. Portion sizes are inconsistent every time I order, and the panini I got was a complete disaster. By the time I got home, it was soggy, falling apart, and honestly disgusting. When I opened it up and saw the nastiness inside, I drove it right back and asked for a refund. To their credit, they were very accommodating and gave me my money back without any hassle. Another major concern -- the food was being prepared completely uncovered, and while one person was making our meal, another was sweeping right behind the counter. All that dust and debris had a clear path to the uncovered food, which is just not acceptable. The staff was super friendly and polite, and I really appreciated their customer service. This place has been anxiously anticipated in the town for a long time. Finally, a healthier option to combat the 2 McDonalds and 2 Taco Bell restaurants that reign locally. This seemed to be the turn of leaf that the community needed. In spite of the overwhelming anticipation leading up to its opening however, I must admit I was significantly disappointed at the first impression. Although fairly busy, packed with eager new employees and a plethora of heathy menu options... I felt a bit cheated by what I paid for / received. As shown in my picture, the salad was gorgeously sad if that makes sense. Toppings where perfect, the dressing was amazing, but the amount of ACTUAL salad I received was pretty sparse. Such a bummer. However, all the ingredients mixed together created a flavorful collective of crisp, salty, sweet deliciousness. It was fresh, flavorful and delicately adorned with pristinely measured toppings sure to keep your tastebuds happy. The West Coast Turkey sandwich was delicious but not what I expected. Nothing more than a glorified ice box sandwich--not toasted, no melted cheese or even warmed chunks of roasted turkey. While the ingredients were notably fresh, crisp and properly proportioned... this sandwich simply didn't pack as powerful of a punch as I would have hoped. The staff seemed helpful and friendly, the store is still fresh and clean and the learning curve has officially begun! Flavor: 5 Stars, Service: 4 stars, portion: 2.5 stars, price: 2 stars. I ordered the southwest salad in a wrap. It was delicious. I like how you get to customize the salad any way you want. They follow COVID social distancing and staff are wearing masks. Prices have risen significantly - a salad now averages $11. A hefty price for a bowl of primarily lettuce. We made the mistake of arriving 30 minutes before closing. Unlike a real restaurant that lets guests seated before closing time finish eating - the staff here actually chased us out of the restaurant. This place was amazing. I had a lunch special with a half salad and half panini. I did the create your own salad with half mixed grains and half kale. The grains were cooked well and not mushy, I also got some roasted veggies and baked tofu for my toppings. Had a chipotle ranch dressing, it was tasty! We picked up 2 salads and one soup for our family and had the worst experience with the food quality. The clam chowder was watery and tasteless and was just a bowl of watery potatoes. That was not the worst part though, the salad with chicken caused a food poisoning episode and made a family member be sick and throw up all night after eating it. These guys make a great salad and they come in a filling portion size. I always do a custom bowl so I can get what I want. It's fresh every time I order, and my experience has been the same in several of their locations. Last couple of times I got the sweet chili chicken, and it's excellent. It's comforting that you can watch them make your salad and you can see that they keep the counter clean and organized. The bathrooms were acceptable. Also, they give you a warm roll and butter to go with your salad, so bonus points there. I saw some of the reviews below and I have to disagree. You want more? Just ask. I mean, obviously they're not going to double down on things like meats or avocado, but don't leave a bad review because you didn't ask for more or what came in your salad, lol. And it doesn't matter that the veggies come in a freezer bag, some of the freshest vegetables you can buy come straight off the farm and are flash frozen until we actually thaw and use them, look it up. A few things to work on now. There are pockets of areas that look like the store isn't fully unpacked yet; some patio umbrellas and tables in the back, a table that looks like the employees take their break there, the garbage cans were pulled out without liners in them, and the iced tea machine is set up but no tea in it. It would also be great if they would ask you if you want your salad tossed without you needing to ask, and if they had one or two simple dressing options like a plain balsamic or oil/vinegar combo. Oh, and they should get some kind of loyalty/rewards program going. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm looking for a quick, tasty, healthier meal option. read more
