I love salata and all of their food options! This is more about this location and what it's turned into since Starfish opened next door. I used to go to this location at least 2-3 days a week after work and be in and out with ease. However since the new restaurant opened up, I can never (ever) find a parking spot. 99% of the time this leads me to chipotle or jersey mikes across the street. Just wondering if you could reserve some salata specific spots in the lot. This location is great! Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and clean! I've been to other locations and the staff is certainly not as friendly and the cleanliness has been neglected. I frequently visit this Salata location and leave with a smile on my face from the great salad and friendly employees. But around a month ago I happened to come on a Saturday afternoon where I encountered a situation with two employees. A girl with a burgundy shirt named "Erika" was arguing with a big lady in a white shirt who happened to be her coworker. (I didn't catch the other ladies name because she didn't have a name tag). After they argued Erika pushed the other lady . I have never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant. I'm sure the other customers who were there also felt awkward like I did . Don't order online from here. They don't even mention a delivery fee and charge you a super high delivery fee ($8) for a salad. Outrageous. I used to work for this location when they first opened up I can't remember the exact date I just know I was 16 back then. Ever since then (I am 21 now) the prices have gone up like crazy and it's insane!!! I know that all of the toppings are fresh because they're prepped the morning of or the night before. So I really do appreciate that. However, back then they used to give you 2 scoops of protein for the large salad and now it's 1. If you would like an extra scoop it's an additional charge which I think is bs. They're focusing too much on how to make more $ than how to please the customers. I was craving a salad so naturally I came to Salata. You can also order a wrap or soup if you're not wanting salad. I love that they have a huge variety of toppings, dressings, and they put the calorie amounts on the dressings. You can add protein (chicken, salmon, seafood) to your salad for an additional cost. The line moves very quickly if you need to get in and out during lunch. Bonus: they have outdoor seating too! read more

I like the concept of this place, it makes me miss Eatzies, where I used to eat all the time, and I like that there is a faster healthy option out there for a quick dinner. It's a build your own salad model with lots of options. First the lettuce, you can choose a mixture, or kale, or spinach, or just plain jane lettuce. Then you choose your protein. Bonus points for them for not just choosing shrimp and chicken. They have a variety of chicken, such as one with pesto which is really tasty. I add chick peas, mushrooms, egg, carrots, ect, and some type of dressing, presto you have a killer salad. They also offer you bread. The salad is a healthy portion, and you can also get a wrap, which looks more like a salad burrito to me. The only part I didn't like is that when you eat there instead of to go, they just give you the salad bowl they mixed it in, which is a bit strange. Inconsistent from location to location. Some would get 5 stars for a salad and at another location it would only get two stars. Salata needs to institute some quality control standards. I love Salata restaurants in Houston, probably the healthiest bang for your buck, but this location is a continuous let down. Which sucks b/c it's so close to the house. The staff are unfriendly and seem to not give-a-s__t when it comes to service, even when slow and barely any customers. The portion amounts are also tiny, always needing to ask for "more" or "extra". Please keep in mind I'm comparing this the other Salata restaurants in the area. I ate here for the first time recently and really enjoyed my salad that was prepared for me. In my opinion, this location loses stars when it comes to the actions of the employees. The employees working at the time I went were all young adults so maybe this accounted for the "laid back-ness". (The people I went with told me they had been to this location before and had excellent service when older ladies happened to be working). Immediately after getting in line there was a sense of unprofessionalism as the young ladies behind the counter began a loud conversation of their own in the middle of serving a customer. Later when I was eating my food, I noticed an employee who was about to begin work, come out of the bathroom and put her hair up in front of a mirror that was not only in the dining area but directly above where the utensils are located. After seeing that, I knew it would take a lot for me to come back to this location. Well, if you look at my profile you can see I LOOOOVE the Salata chain. I swear, one day, I will own one. I go to different locations.. and often. This one is nearest to one of my work locations and I stopped by for the first time a few days ago. I had a problem because the cashier charged me twice for one salad (I noticed later on my bank account). I called the location and was super pleased that even without a receipt, they were willing to work with me. They took care of the problem via a gift card (which was fine because it will be used, lol) and an extra salad when I picked up the card for my troubles. This is a great place to eat, I really enjoy the food here. I went on May 9th and got a large salad. It was really good. The only downside was that there was something hard in my salad. A little bone or pebble I believe (the bacon maybe?). I was chewing my food and out of nowhere, I here a loud sound. I chewed on that hard material and I chipped my back tooth. This was my first time at this location. I went to the Kroger nearby and on the back of the receipt it said $2 off, so I decided to check it out. I am very disappointed that it happened and that I now have to go to the dentist to get it filled. It is convenient to order lunch online for this location, but once you arrive to pick it up - you still must wait. The reason I must order online is that the lunch rush is HUGE and the line moves slowly. You could end up being there for 10 minutes in line. Love, love, love this place. I crave it all the time! Their ingredients are very fresh and always tasty. You can add anything and everything on your salad (fruit, nuts, etc).
