Can't go wrong with Salata! They're pretty consistent with the offering and super clean. My salads are always protein free so I can't really comment on that aspect. I've tried a few different dressing and still, chipotle ranch is my favorite. I also like that now they feature a topping of the month, which makes you think and try new ingredients. I work in vintage and always eat at this location. But since covid-19 I've been home and really wanted a salad. I ordered delivery via Salata website and the delivery service was door dash. Well when my order was received it was eaten out of and the dasher had left me 3 pita strips. I immediately called Salata to notify them of what had happened. A good salad bar for a salad, a wrap, or soup and bread. I enjoy coming here at least once a week and enjoying it every time. The salads are various choices and you can get numerous toppings when you are deciding on your salad. There were over 20 things you can put on the salad, all of which are good to add to a healthy meal. I especially like the fruit and the seafood or chicken to add to the salad. The bread and soup are also good for on the side. Pesto bread is my regular side when I am here along with tomato soup. The tomato soup has basil leaves which gives it a decent flavor when that is added. The soup would be my favorite because the regular tomato soup I use isn't really enough at home. One little problem is the plastic silverware. I mean really the bowls are plastic, but I just don't see people eating with this silverware and being satisfied with it. However when I get a salad to take home, I use my own silverware. I just don't see this silverware being a positive thing on the meal. The people who work there are nice, and the atmosphere is good too. Whenever I have a chance, I eat at the restaurant instead of taking it to go. It's a flaw with the silverware, but other than that this is a decent salad place. They have outside seating too. I would eat out there when it's a beautiful day. read more

I went here last week with my cousin and it was our first time trying it out so we kinda didn't know how to order, but the dude was hella rude and didn't even attempt to help even though I said I haven't been here before and was confused . He just stared at us like we were stupid and I felt uncomfortable the whole time. When we went to sit down we agreed that the workers, specifically the guy who took our order was extremely cold and we both felt uncomfortable with the experience. It's an interesting concept: pay a fixed price, get whatever you want in your salad. Most places either charge a fixed price and make the salad the way they want it or they'll give you the freedom of choice but charge you by weight. The size of the salad is tremendous. I've actually never been that full from a salad before. That was quite an achievement that Salata was able to succeed at. However, the veggies that filled me up could have been of higher quality. Nothing was awful, but the carrots could have been fresher, the lettuce chopped better, and the peppers should have been crispier. Not only that, they didn't do a very good job at mixing the ingredients together so one half of my salad was full of salmon while the other was fishless. I got a bowl of soup (the tomato bisque was very hearty and thick) as well and my total ended up being over 15 dollars... For a salad and soup? Yikes... If you've got money to burn and want to eat healthy, Salata is the way to go. If you are poor and don't care about health, 15 McDoubles might be the better option. read more

Most of my paycheck ends up here because they're so dang overpriced! I seriously have gone broke from having eaten here so much. Forreals, this place makes a poor college student even poorer. I ate here 4-5 times per week last summer. Students, make sure you have your student ID handy, it'll save you a dolla each time! I think its safe to say I'm addicted. Everyone I've taken here who's told me they're "not really a salad person," I've always proven them wrong. I've convinced every single one of my friends to try this place, and not ever have I gotten a "this is an eh place". There's no limit to how much you can get just as long as you can hold it all in your bowl, so don't get a Large. Get a small and you can make it plenty (DISCLAIMER: This trick only works for salads, not wraps). Big tip for those who are not salad fans: try to pack as many different flavors as you can in your salads. Don't just go for the traditional caesar salads--do yourself a favor and don't waste a trip to Salata on something you can make at home. The trick to a magical salad is adding as many flavors as possible, go for fruits and all the types of veggies you don't usually try in your salads. As for dressings, I find a combination of them to be the best. I think the best combination is half a spoon of the lemon vinaigrette and half a spoon of the honey mustard. The vinaigrette loosens the thickness of the honey mustard without jeopardizing the sweet, milky taste of it. Those two will equal heaven for your taste buds. But if you don't like honey mustard, pair the lemon vinaigrette with the herb vinaigrette. As for the staff, I can't help but feel bad for them. I don't think the customers are always as nice as they can be with their high demands, so the staff always looks annoyed or flustered. They're always really nice to me, so I know for sure, it's the customers in this part of town: they can be pretty demanding with their "time is money" and "I'm the customer, so I'm right" attitude. I have a friend who worked here in the past, and she said the pace is crazy hectic and they're wayyy underpaid. There's always a new face. That's why as a regular, I can tell that they have one of the highest turnover rates in all the businesses I've seen. I just wish salata would offer more promotions so I don't go nearly as broke. A place to get a big salad. $8 gets you the standard salad, with your choice of at least 40+ diff toppings (veg, nuts, cheese, etc) and tossed for you in one of their signature dressings, which were good. Add a variety of chicken breast choices, shrimp or "krab" for $2, or get a wrap for $7. Cup of soup was $3 or so. Very clean and well organized set up. Everything was super fresh. Whether grabbing my salad to go or eating with friends, I eat at the Vintage Salata at least once or twice a week. The food is always very fresh and they offer a wide variety of ingredients. Overall, the food is about as good as a salad can be. HOWEVER, I have two major complaints. 1) It's FREEZING year round inside the restaurant. Eating inside often requires a parka, mittens, and a scarf...even in JULY. Clearly, they want to get people in and out as fast as possible. I understand why they want to turn tables during the busiest time of day, but the sub freezing temperatures in the restaurant takes this tactic to a whole new (low) level. 2) The women making the salads remind me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. They are generally unpleasant and try to get away with giving you as little salad and toppings as possible. One time they put THREE peas on my salad. THREE. For an $8 salad can't I at least have 5 peas? If you ask for more items the response is usually an eye roll and a reluctant grab for two more broccoli florets or a few sprouts. No More Salad for You. The above experience seems to be unique to the Vintage location as I have been to two other Salatas where the temperature was comfortable and the salads generously and cheerfully made. With all of the new restaurants popping up in the area perhaps management should reevaluate the way they treat their customers. read more

I can live off of soup and salad, which is why I love this place so much. Their vegetables are always fresh and they have an insane variety of veggies and dressings to choose from. I'm not a fan of seafood, but they seem to have a decent selection of salmon, crab, and shrimp. I always get the herb marinated chicken; I like it so much that I don't want to try anything else :) I really, really, really like their ginger dressing; mango dressing not so much. And their tomato basil soup is heaven, especially when I ask them to add bacon to it. Not the healthiest protein, but it hits the spot when I'm craving it. Never tried a wrap, but I hear they're pretty good. This place is pricey, but from my understanding it's all organic, so it has to be. If you get both soup and salad w/chicken, depending on the size, you'll probably spend about $14. But I'd rather spend the extra money on something that is good for me as opposed to spending the same amount at a Chipotle or some fast food joint in the area, where the food is extra bad for you. I still love eating Salata salads, but I wanted to update that they are not as generous with the portions anymore. A small handful of each type of lettuce/kale/spinach (hand of the person who's serving you). They only give you a spoon of all your veggies and a larger spoon of meats. You can ask for more veggies, which they will give you for free, but if you want a little more meat it's gonna cost you. A larger salad is in the range of $10-12. I understand they have to manage portions but it comes across like they are being less than generous with their offerings. They have scaled back on how they make salads from when they first opened. I still go but I know how to order exactly what I want. Still a healthy option for lunch or dinner. read more

It is an assembly line style place (think Chipotle or Subway). There is a great variety of choices for bases, proteins, toppings, and dressings. It can be a bit frantic and disjointed your first trip, and you may end up with a mish-mash of toppings if you don't go in with a plan.
