The salad bar is Excellent! Always fresh, dressings are all tasty, and the place is always clean. However, I've been here multiple time and I've noticed that the staff is always bland/apathetic. I'm giving this 2 stars because one employee seemed very annoyed when I asked to taste test a dressing before pouring it over my salad (mind you, I was the only costumer in line). Someone else on here posted something similar , saying that they felt like the staff here were just robots. As a said , the salad bar is great , so i still continued to eat there, but then I discovered the Salata off of I-10. The staff there is awesome ! Each and every time, I was very impressed with their customer service. Very refreshing and a lot more welcoming compared to the one on Sonterra. The one on 1-10 is a lot further from my home, but I still make the extra trip because I feel so much more welcomed there. read more

Everything was very fresh. The crutons were especially crisp, but not too crisp. They were excellent. Along with the chips that you can get on the side, those were delicious aswell. However it was expensive. It was about 35 dollars for 3 people. But overall it was a great experience. read more

This place had great pieces to make any sort of salad you'd love, my combination was: spring mix salad, little bit of tomato and cucumber, black beans and a little bit of egg, feta cheese, and chicken. Next time I'm definitely getting the medium because I would have liked a lot more lettuce. The lemon and fresh herb vinaigrette combined together is an amazing taste!! If you don't like too much dressing in your salads only ask for HALF a scoop of each, two full scoops was way too much dressing.. Too much sauce!! You have a selection of different salads, I chose a green mix, you can choose a protein, veggies, salad dressing, breads, soups etc. Think of this place as a very simple salad bar. It is nice to be able to choose whatever you are in the mood for instead of going to a restaurant and finding a salad that meets the closest wants. When you walk through the line each item has a tab that provides the calories. One recommendation I have is to have the dressing put on the side or tell them light on the dressing. I asked for the chipotle ranch which was delicious with just enough spice however, my salad was drenched. Also, there are three different choices, a small, regular and salad wrap. First- let me start off with the positives! As far as food and quality goes and it's one of our close few options we have near our office, for this I love this place. Second, it is always very busy especially during lunch time but clean if we choose to eat there. These reasons are why we keep coming back. Negatives- They ALWAYS mess up our online orders, ALWAYS. I think the few years they have been open, there has only been a few times out of the hundreds of times we have ordered from work from here that it was right. I came here once before with a girlfriend for lunch, and my shrimp salad was refreshing yet satisfying. Feeling super lazy tonight and not wanting to cook, I was craving something healthy for dinner after my work out. The herbed shrimp on a fresh salad sounded like the perfect solution. I ordered a regular salad with insalata mix, topped with jicama, tomato, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, blue cheese, with delicious sun dried tomato vinaigrette on the side. And then the herbed shrimp-- I decided to double up on the shrimp and save half my salad for tomorrow. To my dismay, the shrimp was a complete let down. For the price, it should taste fresh, crisp, and flavorful as I had previously remembered. Unfortunately, it was luke warm, unseasoned, and tasted soupy like it had sat in a bowl of fish water all day. First of all, the portions are huge! Even a small is giant. My husband wand I split a regular size and it was perfect. I love that you can customize what goes in your salad. Normally, I make my own on a daily basis but it's a nice treat to have someone else do it for you! I feel like there was a pretty good selection of things to top the salad with, except there were no tortilla strips or something of that sort. Salata is salad bar brought into the 21 century. All the ingredients are fresh, crisp and nicely presented. The place is clean, the staff 99% of the time helpful and friendly. Every salad I've had has been excellent. We're regulars and will continue to go. The only thing I don't like is the iced tea, I've tried it over and over and it's just not good?! Almost like they are trying too hard to have 'hip,foodie' iced tea, when really just a well brewed black tea is just about perfect. I love it! They make the salad as you go down the bar - they even let you sample their wide selection of dressings; they were all delicious. One thing that stood out to me (just a personal liking) is that they mix the salad for you!
