We missed the lunch specials which go from 11am - 2:30pm. This is located @ 3400 River Road in Franklin Park just 2.8 miles south of The Fashion Outlet Mall on the west side of River Road. Don't blink or you'll drive right by it. Trust me when I say you won't want to do this. When we arrived we were the only people there. We were greeted by Kennedy our server. He recommended an item from the Chefs Recommendation a Maharaj Mix Grill that came w/an assortment of meats like Tandori Chicken (excellent), Seekh Kabob (ground lamb sausage (excellent), Malala Kabob (chicken seasoned w/yogurt, cream cheese, garlic, cardamom & nutmeg, Dal & Butter Chicken. This also came w/lentil beans, grilled naan bread (charred) excellent. This all came on a small iron skillet w/grilled onions sizzling on the iron skillet.. We also ordered a dish of mild butter chicken that for me should have been spicer but that's the way my wife wanted it). There was a tiny condiment w/a spicy green sauce which helped w/the mild butter chicken & a milder red sauce. The Chefs Recommendation of Maharaj Mix Grill was $28. This was an awesome choice as it came w/a great assortment of different meats, grilled onion, grilled naan bread, lentil beans, a portion of butter chicken & basmati white rice. The stand alone butter chicken for me was lacking some spice & had too much sauce & not enough chicken. For dessert they brought us hot sweet ball w/a syrupy sauce that was tasty. I throughly enjoyed this meal as the flavors, seasoning & spices were very good. Kennedy was our server for the bulk of our meal but he must have left @ 4pm (shift change) because we had a different server. Either way the food & service was excellent. This is a cre that doesn't seem to like anything , but I'll declare victory in that they like it! Mission accomplished! One thing is the place was pretty empty so that's a bit disconcerting when that happens. Later one 2 other tables were seated. On to the food, the dry gobi Manchurian was pretty good. The others through the chicken they had too spicy, it they ordered it spicy, so. The for the mains, the paneer makhani was pretty good. They out too few paneer pieces I'd say. Dal makhani was also good. I think the naan were kind of mid. Didn't taste like they had a tandoor. It was kind of dense instead of soft/chewy. Well, it's a good place. I'll have to try out their downtown location. Hopefully more lively.

We pulled up in the parking lot and weren't sure if they were open, as it looked empty but they were. There was just only one table occupied on a Saturday night which is usually not a good sign...we decided to give it a try anyway and were glad we did! The food was delicious. We started with the vegetable samosas which were fresh tasting with a nice balance of flavors and lots of vegetables in the filling. I went basic for my entree and had the palak paneer and it was absolutely wonderful. It was nicely spiced with fresh ginger and had a decent amount of heat. I like spicy food, and this was a pleasant level of heat for me. The paneer was flavorful and fresh. I ordered rice to go with it and it was fluffy and perfectly cooked. The garlic naan was hot, fresh and nicely seasoned. Sadly, only one other table filled before we left. The people working there seemed like the owners and asked us to tell others to come as business had not been good. So here's me, telling others to come! The food is excellent, prices are lower than typical and the atmosphere is modern and bright. Here's hoping they make it!

We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely conversation with Sara, the owner, which added a personal and heartfelt touch to the evening. Our party of four included a vegetarian and someone with gluten-free needs, and both were accommodated effortlessly. Always a sign of a thoughtful kitchen. We started with Aloo Paneer Tikki and Papdi Chaat, both excellent. The tikki was crisp and satisfying, and the chaat had that perfect mix of textures and tangy brightness. For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. My friend and I ventured into margarita territory, one spicy and one with ginger, both crafted so well that we immediately ordered a second round. No regrets. If I had one small wish, it would be for music that leans more into the cultural experience. A sitar in the background or even Bollywood scenes on the screens would add an extra layer of immersion. That said, the American music playing was tasteful and unobtrusive. If you're in the suburbs and craving good Indian food with warm hospitality, this is your place. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered couple garlic naan and a cheese naan. Only issue I have is that complimentary rice should come with curries. This was not the case, but almost every Indian restaurant does this with the exception of a few. Good ambiance, nice wall decor. I'd order again.

We ended taking the food back to hotel where we enjoyed at a table in the lobby. For starters, we scooped up a few varieties of naan, including garlic and chilli. For meals we went biryani and curry respectively. I went with the chicken biryani and my peer the lamb curry. The naan was phenomenal and the mains were delightful as well. The food was fresh and definitely authentic. I wish we could have enjoyed on site, but I feel we still got a good representation of what they offer! I had to stop eating after a couple pieces because I was heating up massively. The weather was gorgeous so the doors were open. I was dressed for work, so I was blazing hot. We sat and talked for a while, then decided to come back and order desserts and coffee. Mango creme brûlée and the pistachio ice cream looked great. I had a mango smoothie which was refreshing and not too sweet. Ricky told us it wasn't super busy so we could stay, which was very kind of him. I ordered the chilli chicken biryani which is a popular dish at the Devon location. Lots of food, price was decent too. Now here's the reason why I'm giving this place two stars. As my buddy is sitting at the booth eating, i notice something strange on the wall. Walking. Towards him. It was a baby cockroach. We stopped eating the second we saw that and walked out. I paid for a mango lassi to go, but after seeing the little critter on the wall I changed my mind. Not going to go on about cleanliness, but seeing a roach in a food establishment is a big no from me. 2 stars for the nice customer service, but also 2 stars for finding out about the roaches AFTER I ate my food. I get it, some people may not be bothered by this...I have no issue with that, so long as those people are not running restaurants themselves.
