These are my opinions. Several years ago my wife and I bought frames in Paris. Because of the brands they carry, we used them for lens. I was told it would take a couple of weeks. After that time period, I called and at first was told they were not in. After calling back, I was told the lens came in but they were not satisfactory and so another set had to be made. After another couple of weeks, they called and said I could pick up. No apology for the delay. I said I would not be back. A month or so ago, my wife was looking for new frames and I went with her to this store. She didn't find any she liked but I found a pair of Anne Valentin's that caught my eye so I bought. Was again told two weeks. So after a few days over two weeks I called and again not in. The next day they called said they were ready. I went in on a Sunday. One other shopper in the store but saw two sales persons behind the counter and walked up and said I was there to pick up my glasses. After looking me up, she walked over to a drawer in the corner and pulled out my glasses. She did not clean them but handed me the glasses and a case. She did not give me the usual optical card to check my vision with the new lens, did not check the fit and did not even say thanks for your business. I got home and my vision reading small print seemed worse than with my old glasses. I contacted Emory where my doctor is and was told to come back in for a recheck. I did and was told my prescription was correct and the issue might be the fit/location on my nose and they suggested I go back to Salle for adjustment or ask for my money back. I kneel I needed the lens in my old pair changed and wanting to ever step in Salle again, I went another optician who carries similar frame lines and order the new lens and while I was there asked them to adjust my newly purchased glasses. I found the height on my nose was causing me to look through the wrong area of my progressives. Adjustment made, glasses are perfect. Will never buy from or recommend Salle to anyone. I actually sent them an email after my purchase of these new glasses relating my purchase experience. Never received the courtesy of any reply. One would think spending $1450 on a frame and pair of lens might at least elicit a thank you. read more

Great I stumbled across Salle Opticians while shopping on my vacation. Their eyeglass frames were unique and exceptionally beautiful. I fell in love with so many of them but honed in on one. These days, integrity can be a highly distinguishing point for a business. This is a trendy and very upscale optometrist shop selling only luxury brands. Think of everything that Lenscrafters and Eye Gallery don't sell, then come here. We had a minor incident occur here and in the process of resolving it, I had a chance to find the honest nature of the employees here who set an example for how a business should be run, thus I leave this 5 star review with very much pleasure. The incident was as follows. After receiving a quote for a Tavat pair of sunglasses, I returned the next day to be told that the price is actually higher than the day before. One of the employees made a mistake on the verbal quote. The first point where I was happy with the business practices here, she was honest and upfront about the mistake. As the manager overheard what happened, he said he'd honor the price that I was told the day before. This was the second point that will make me a return customer, attention to customer service. They took responsibility for a mistake and did everything in their hands to make it better for the customer. The Tavat sunglasses turned out amazing. High quality, quick turnaround and really, just a pleasure to wear. I value my experience interacting with employees at this location and will be returning in the future. read more

Finding this business has been a dream come true! The team here is very helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and they overdelivered. Never even set foot in the store and yet was thoroughly impressed by the service. I inquired about melanin lenses and although Daryl didn't think he had any in stock other than sunglasses, he promised to look into it and get back to me. He called me back less than an hour later to confirm that they didn't have any, but then offered to call their manufacturer on Monday (today). He just called to tell me that the manufacturer, unfortunately, stopped producing melanin lenses. Although dissapointed that this product isn't available, I was really impressed by Daryl's prompt and friendly follow ups. On a side note, I really wish the eyecare industry in this country would start more widley offering melanin lense options as an alternative to blue light filters. Melanin lenses are the only thing that work for me but they are really hard to find anywhere! When this place starts offering that, I will update my review to 5 stars. read more

My husband and I went to Salle Opticians, prescriptions in hand, to find some attractive eyewear. The staff was so attentive and helpful, and their frame selection is not typical doctor's office fare. I absolutely love that the staff member who helped us listened to the type of frame I wanted (which I thought she wouldn't be able to find) and found something really attractive for me. We probably spent over an hour trying on different styles, shapes, and colors until we got the two frames we liked best. This was a very different experience from the frames I purchased through my regular optometrist. The folks at Salle seemed genuinely invested in our experience. This place does not sell bargain or discount frames, so it's not the place to go if you're being frugal. I'd expect to spend about $4-500 on frames--more if you're into Cartier or other exclusive brands-- and then add a couple of hundred on top of that for bells and whistles (such as anti-glare). We were fortunate enough to have unusual FSA circumstances that allowed us the budget to shop here. It will certainly be a treat that won't be repeated any time soon. But if I had my druthers, I'd get all my frames through the folks at Salle Opticians. read more

This is my favorite optometry shop in the South East. The optometrist, Dr. Worth, is very skilled and was able to develop a computer prescription for me that saved my career - no more splitting headaches after a day looking at monitor. I'll also note that he has a lot of clinical study experience - I've worked with him in trials as well as from the patient side of the phoropter. The selection of high-end European and American frames is superb. It's in Phipps Plaze, folks, it's not discount. They aren't competing on price. Beware there refund policy is like no OTHER. If you give them $1, it is non-refundable, they don't have the product that your looking for, they show you picture of similar frame on a computer monitor desktop and expect for you not to change your mind when you can take the time and look at the frame at home. There store is a trap, they don't fully explain the policy to you until the money is spent, they give you a store credit but they only sell FRAMES over $500, not a satisfactory option. I have been going to Salle Opticians ever since moving to Atlanta three years ago. Their selection of eyeglass frames is by far the best I have ever encountered. In three years, they have provided me with over 15 pairs of prescription glasses and sunglasses. I love working with Brandon - he's developed a great understanding of what I like and he's never pushy. The customer service is just as good as the selection at Salle Opticians. Bob solved a fit issue brilliantly by adding nose pads to 6 pairs of my eyeglasses. After Brandon introduced me to a great line of glasses, I went online to see more of what that particular manufacturer had to offer. I found a pair that Salle didn't carry and Brandon and Wendy reached out directly to the manufacturer (in England) and got them for me. I bought my first pair of glasses in 10 years from Brandon at Salle Opticians. He was very patient and knowledgeable of the products. I went there about 3-4 times before I actually bought my pair of Dita Statesman and he was very professional with me at all times. I went to Salle Opticians for the first time after some alleged eye problems. Their staff was incredibly helpful. The eye doctor was able to prescribe something other opticians had missed. Although I wasn't too happy with needing glasses my dizziness stopped immediately. They have also gone out of their way to follow up with friendly enquiries regarding how things were progressing. Couldn't have asked for much more. Don't let the location put you off from a financial point of view - they are professional and affordable. The staff is first rate and very knowledgeable. Had been to the chain stores and they just wanted to make a sale. This place cares more about your needs than making a sale. read more

SALLE OPTICIANS IS SIMPLY THE BEST IN ATLANTA! I have been going to Salle for years and years. Their products and services are the best you can find. I always order Oliver Peoples Frames and love them more now than when I started about 20 years ago. I think Dr. Zaunbrecher is a kind, knowledgeable and thorough optometrist. She has been so helpful with changing my prescriptions and recommending surgery. The staff is always professional and helpful when I go in.They could not be any better than they are. This is not a "bargain store" and price is not the criterion they use to sell their frames. Anyone would love this store if you are looking for quality, beautiful glasses. read more

I stopped in today to check out lenses for my Cartier glasses (which I previously purchased at Salle). I was helped by Ms. Yvette. She was very knowledgeable about the lenses and helped me understand the options without being too time consuming. She also was able to make sure they got shipped to my new place in California. Dr. Reynolds was there as well which is a pleasant surprise cause he's an UNC guy and my older brother played there so seeing a Tarheel is always great. Obviously things are pricey but it's an high end market and an indulgence. I plan to continue to do all my Cartier and high-end frame purchases through Salle. read more

Salle Opticians is a terrific store that carries nothing but high quality super stylish frames. However, what really makes them outstanding is their service. I had a problem with a prescription (written by another eye doctor), and their commitment to fixing it was unwavering - the salesperson, the owner and their own ophthalmologist all got involved - and I love my new glasses (on that note, I would encourage customers to use Salle's ophthalmologist; not only is she terrific, it's just so much easier to work with one team, especially if there are challenges.) As far as I am concerned, it's the only store in Atlanta - and perhaps far beyond - worth visiting. read more

I'm not happy at all with my overall experience here. I found 2 frames that I was interested in purchasing. It was the same frame, but I liked it in 2 different color options that it came in. However, I noticed that the olive color frame fit me better compared to the tortoise color one even though it was the same exact frame and size. I was debating between the two because the of the fit and I liked the tortoise one better but I was concerned that it was loose compared to the olive colored frame. The sales lady Asia assured me that they will be able to adjust the tortoise frame to fit my face so in the end I went with that purchase. I've had this frame for a bout a month now and I've had to come into this store every week to get it adjusted. Nobody is able to get it right and i'm not able to see it out of these frames properly because of the angle that it sits on my nose. Asia gets annoyed every time I walk into the store.I feel I was given poor service poor communication and bad sales expertise as i was advised that this frame could be fitted properly. I asked her if I could exchange and she said the store looses out on money since they won't be able to resell. Well I paid $450 for the frame, plus $230 for the lenses and I can't wear these. I guess they don't care much about customer sanctification here. I would not recommend purchasing from here due to poor service. read more

I went to Salle to look at their glasses. I paid $80 for an exam. Dr Kornman was ok but nothing special. The computers were down and they said they did not have the means to give me a copy of the prescription but asked me to pay for it which I did on a paper credit card slip. Not sure why they could not give me a written prescription but they said their printer was down and it would have been nice to know this before agreeing to the exam. I was told they would email me a copy. Several phone calls and three days later and no email with the script but they found time to send a photo of some glasses I might be interested in purchasing. I called on Saturday to again ask for my prescription and spoke to Yvette who was very rude and hung up on me when I mentioned I did not think they understand customer service. She offered no admission of their fault. They really do not understand customer service. I will go elsewhere in the future. Ms Kornman the optometrist should pay better attention to making sure the patient gets what they pay for and no apology makes them the last place I would recommend for glasses or eyecare in Atlanta. Getting a copy of a prescription that I paid for should not be this difficult. No excuse is acceptable. Why would I spend thousands of dollars for glasses and get service that is worse than I can get at Walmart. Attention to detail and customer service seem to be something this place is below average in their capacity to deliver. Amateurs at customer service and I would say run like hell from a place that will hang up on you for speaking the truth. At this point I will just go directly to Cartier for my new glasses. read more

What a horrible establishment this is!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I didn't find out until I had spent thousands (5 frames, lenses and my exams). But, as soon as I had a problem with my Cartier frames and needed them to assist me, with having them replaced, I got to see their true colors. From the moment I walked into the store and gave Bob my glasses, he immediately accused me of having dropped them, which I had not. Dropping them under any stretch of the imagination wouldn't have caused this type of cloudiness with chipping like nail polish to the bridge. He was insistent with his accusation and told me that Cartier would not be replacing my frames without batting an eye or even looking to see if they were still covered under the warranty. I asked him not to be so pessimistic because I believe that the truth will always yield the appropriate result. So, I struggled to overlook the worst customer service I'd experienced and asked him to show some optimism and to look further into the situation so he looked to see when I had purchased the glasses because I didn't know the exact date and found out that I had them 2.25 years which was 3 months past the Cartier warranty. I expected that the frames were defective because I take very good care of my glasses as they are an extension of my face and I work very hard to provide such frames for myself. I insisted that Bob do the right thing and contact Cartier as I was sure they would stand behind their product so he said he would and that he would contact me by Friday (it was Tuesday) but, of course, he did not. He called the following Monday or Tuesday to say that Cartier had concluded the same thing (that I had dropped them) by way of some photographs they had sent them. I was certain that they concluded no such thing. I expressed to Bob that this was unacceptable to me and that I expected him to send the actual frames to them and, again, he said he would, but, again, he did not. So, 5 days later I receive a call from Wendy (owner) and was told that Cartier no longer allows them to mail any frames. I thought Cartier was in possssion of the frames by now and was expecting a call from them to say they were mailing my new frames so that I would never have to encounter anyone at Salle's ever again. Wendy was relentless at trying to convince me to let her restore my frames as best as possible but I wasn't willing to accept the unacceptable. So I told her no, thanks! But, she was not taking no for an answer so I asked her why Bob had said he would mail them and she wouldn't answer that question. I also told her how poorly I was treated and she also dismissed that so I decided to tell her that I knew if I was a different shade, I wouldn't have or continue to be treated so poorly and she exploded and told me that the conversation was over and hung up on me. I had contacted Cartier myself on that initial Tuesday to inform them about the situation and they assured me that I had taken the right first step to return them to the optician. With each encounter I had with Salle, I contacted Cartier via email with immediate response. I eventually called Cartier and spoke with Elizabeth and she told me that Salle's could mail the frames so I asked her if she would get on a 3-way call with Salle's and we did. When I'd initially asked to speak with Wendy they told me she wasn't there but when I told them I had Cartier on the line, she magically appeared. She got on the phone and immediately went into her rant stating that she wouldn't do anything for me because I had called her a racist instead of being helpful she continued further proving to me what type of people I was dealing with so I told her okay I'd pick up my frames and said goodbye. As I continued to provide Elizabeth with what she needed to have my frames replaced, Wendy interjected another bout of negativity as she was eavesdropping. I just continued my conversation with Elizabeth and I guess she hung up or stayed on the phone...it was ridiculous! I posted a review on Google and Wendy replies to it and lied stating my frames were in poor condition and that I had had them for 3+ years, etc. There is no way that I'd be walking around with the frames she described on my face! Anytime, someone has to lie about a situation it speaks loud to their character. I had taken a picture of myself the very same day that the frames started breaking down and they looked perfect. I shared this with Cartier so if they needed to see the picture which the iPhone dates, they would have all the proof they needed. I had noticed a white cloudy area to the bridge, perplexed to find it there, I took them off again and proceeded to wash them and during the drying process the white cloudy area got larger and began to crack kind of like nail polish. Needless to say, Cartier has replaced the frames. Wendy said in her reply that I got what I wanted; the fact is, I got what I deserved as will she! KARMA!!! read more

I've been going to Salle Opticians for years. My first pair of glasses from them; a pair of SwissFlex frames and lenses, changed my life. Never before had I worn a pair of such lightweight frames and lenses. The Zeiss lenses they use in their eye-wear are the finest I've ever owned. They last for years and the anti-reflective coating makes a huge difference in the quality of my eyesight. Gradually, I've purchased many other frames including Kawasaki, SALT and now FRED. What a delight it is to step into a shop where you are treated like family. Brandon and Bob have taken exquisite care of me. I believe in balancing the quality of the service and the quality of the product with the price. I've never regretted a single purchase at Salle. The items I've purchased give me joy everyday. Please visit them and you will be amazed. First class service and products. What more can you ask for? UPDATE!!!! 2/18/2016 Went to Salle for adjustments on my previous eyewear last week. I've ended up buying three more pairs of eyeglasses in the past week. I just love the amazing selection at Salle. I'm venturing into new territory with the new frames. Super customer service!! Salle Opticians offers a nice selection of luxury brand frames. I tried to purchase frames, at Cartier in Lenox Mall and the sales person there referred me to Salle as I had waited 4 weeks for frames, to find out that a new salesperson had not entered the order correctly. Cartier called Salle to let them know what I was looking for. (Cartier deserves customer service kudos, too!!) I was able to get an eye exam and chose my Cartier Panthere prescription eye glasses. They arrived as expected and I love them. I did return for one adjustment. Then I decided I should have sunglasses as well. With the help of a salesperson, I selected a Channel frame to add prescription lens. The frames were gorgeous with metal arms and lots of sparkles. Unfortunately after returning 4 times for adjustments, the Sales Manager suggested I try one more time and if it didn't work out to come back and select another frame. Well, they did not work out, they still slipped on my nose. I chose a different Cartier Panthere sunglass which I picked up last week. I love them and the fit is great. I was charged the difference between the Channel frame and the Cartier frame which was certainly expected. It is wonderful to deal with a company who understands customer service and more importantly doing the right thing. I will be a customer for life!! read more

Great experience at Salle! Went in for a routine eye exam and was greeted by a very courteous staff. The optometrist was ready to see me and she was very warm and professional and definitely seemed vested in my care. I am one that does not like bright lights in my eyes, but she was very efficient with her exam and it didn't even bother me at all. Once the exam was over, I worked with the staff to find a new pair of glasses. Their selection is outstanding and the staff is very professional and knowledgeable about their frame selections. l live in a small area outside of Atlanta and have difficulty in finding designer glasses. I also wear a larger size frame. Salle had a style I was looking for but not the size. But they were able to contact the manufacturer in Germany have have frames made in my size. Also, Salle uses Zeiss lenses which turned out to be better than the lenses i had been using. All around, I am glad I made the trip to the city and to Salle! I recommend them if you are willing to spend the money on high quality and style. read more
