My experiences with Warby Parker and LensCrafters weren't the best, so I headed over to LeStanne. I was greeted the second I walked in by the owner himself, then was left free to browse the whole store. I LOVED their selection! They have multiple brand names if you're into that - Tom Ford, Miu Miu, Prada, to name a few. I picked out a pair of Tom Ford glasses that I loved. They didn't have the color in the store so they ordered it for me, and it came in just days later. I returned to the store and was fitted with the pair that was ordered. I was given a timeframe of 10 days to receive the complete pair - which is very reasonable. I have a strong prescription so it usually takes extra time. In actuality, my glasses arrived within a week! I was fitted with the final pair and everything was perfect. Stan worked with me a bit on the cost, and they gave me a goody bag of travel glasses cases, cleaning spray, and special wipes. Stan & his team were always so welcoming, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was always in and out in under 20 minutes! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and am more than satisfied with my new glasses. Things of note: - They can also put lenses into your frames - They do not take insurance. But you get what you pay for!

I've been…read morecoming to this office for many years, and generally had good experiences up until about two years ago. I came in for my routine exam, and things went as expected. I picked a pair of frames and spent about $300+ after insurance. Again, no complaints. Kat called me to inform me that my glasses were ready for pick up. I went and immediately noticed that the prescription was not correct. I shared this concern at pick up and was told that due to the prescription that I needed to wear them for about two weeks to allow my eyes to get adjusted. I didn't fully understand this because my prescription was the same as it had always been. I complied, and experienced headache and eye aches. I shared this and went back to the location. Again, I was assured that the prescription was current and shouldn't cause me to have any concerns. Instead it was. No resolve, I left to advocate another day. I went home and found my prescriptions from the prior year and current year, I called back and spoke to Kat to share with her my concerns and findings. She found the error, and i stead of apologizing she just took the glasses. The wrong prescription was totally wrong. I left the glasses and came back a few days later to pick them up. Again, I am still having an issue seeing. I shared this again, but was over talked and ignored. I was given the same advice of allowing the eyes to adjust to this situation. After two weeks and same concern I went somewhere else. They were able to find the concern and I spoke with the location and was told I would get a call back. It never happened, time passed and it slipped my mind to follow-up. I did call back months later and was told that although I communicated my concerns of not being able to see, and I was awaiting a response that too much time had passed for them to adjust the prescription. It sucks that I have had to overly communicate, advocate and continuously go back and fourth to get this situation corrected and still no resolve. I shared my concerns at every visit. I brought up the concern and did everything and I am still in a position of losing out money because of this. While I have a good experience at this facility the last two years have been difficult. I am choosing to not patronize going forward. While this is my experience, I share so that you are well informed.

At the follow-up visit, my contacts were switched to another brand, and the office staff managed the switch for me. Prior to my appointment, I asked that they obtain a trial pair of colored contact lenses, and they agreed with no problem. I've been wearing glasses since I was 14 and contacts since 18. My previous optometrist retired and I struggled to find a new doctor. I'm glad that I found Dr. Brillante.

It was a short wait to get them fixed. No more adjustments needed after today. As usual, very helpful staff. I'll be back in two years!

I mentioned that the company offers more options online, but the employee I spoke with wasn't aware of that. When I asked for my PD (pupillary distance), I was told they could not provide it and that wherever I purchase glasses could measure it instead. Because I wasn't provided my PD, it also prevents me from purchasing glasses online--even through the same company. I had specifically mentioned interest in their online selection, so this felt limiting and counterproductive. Overall, the experience felt more focused on sales than customer convenience. Between the limited inclusive sizing options and refusal to provide basic measurements, I left feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location.

I went to DHEC to purchase my first pair of progressive glasses. The staff that helped were…read morewonderful and helped me to pick out frames. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.

Insult to injury: Despite my warning Colony Square Eye Care that my $400 treasured Kala eyeglass…read moreframes were tricky when it comes to replacing the lenses, they broke the frames while swapping in the new lenses. And then acted nonchalant about it. Their unacceptable solution was to offer me a 30% discount on new frames from their existing inventory. Upselling was their response. A call from the manager would have been nicer. Following that experience, I went to Le Stanne Opticiens near Buckhead, who - get this - directly contacted the designer to find out if there was any way they could hook me up with an old pair of my favorite frames. Unfortunately, they couldn't. 7 years ago when Eye Q Optometry in San Francisco broke the same model of frames when changing out the lenses, they replaced the frames, free of charge. I've worn eyeglasses since I was 3 and Le Stanne and Eye Q Optometry demonstrate the high caliber of customer service I've come to expect. Colony Square Eye Care has a lot to learn.
