Before the keratin treatment, my hair was dry and frizzy. Artemia revived my hair with LOTS of SHINE and SILKINESS, as you can see. I am blown-away! Nothing compares to Artemia's keratin treatments. Jessica helped me choose a very natural black brown instead of the dark black that I was leaning towards. I was pleased that the black brown was so natural on me and it feels nice starting the new year with a more vibrant hair color. This salon always plays pleasant music and offers tea or cold drinks. It's a cozy salon and I love that their clientele is extremely diverse. I started coming here many years ago and I couldn't really get away for long but hopefully, I will be staying with Jessica for the coming years for more color and cuts. Jessica is a sweet person with a kind smile. That definitely makes this salon an even better place. The only thing I would change are the chairs/wash basins they use to wash hair, it would be more comfortable if they could update those because it's a bit uncomfortable.

They have a 15 min grace window and I was about 10 min late. I told her I wanted a lob and my bangs trimmed (my bangs were how I liked and just needed a trim). Before she cut I said I just want to make sure I can put my hair up. So I was thinking maybe like 3-4 inches below my shoulder is where I pointed to start at the front part because the back would be shorter. She started cutting super fast and literally cut off all my hair in probably 10 minutes. I've tried 4 different stylists here now(2 others left), but her technical skills were ones I haven't seen in ages. Long story short, she cut my hair SUPER short, a little above my shoulder and so I told her to stop because it was too short and a lob would make it even shorter. So it's just hair, but it was not what I wanted and not the length. Then she butchered my bangs and made them too short as well. Then when I got home, I noticed pieces that weren't cut, so I went back(apprehensive) and said please just cut that off and asked if she knew how to thin out the more bulky part of my bangs- specifying the technique other stylist do, where they twist little bits of hair and thin it with sheers) and THEN further said DO NOT MAKE IT SHORTER.. then she took our the serrated scissors which do thin out hair but I literally haven't had a hair stylist since maybe I was 10 and getting my hair cut at Supercuts. And she had me close my eyes and then she cut them even shorter. It was hands down my worst experience here. I've had 2 good stylists here and 2 bad and the only reason I didn't book the last stylist was bc she was booked that time. I wanted my hair to look fresh and cute for my Trip and now I'll be hiding it as best I can in a corgi tail pony and trying to hide these butchered bangs. Oh and she is very pushy on re booking the appointment and I even said I don't think my hair will even be at a length that I like in 2 or 3 months. I asked for acrylic dip removal and a gel manicure + regular varnish pedicure. She was SO gentle with the pedicure! I was extremely relieved and impressed when I saw how meticulous she was when cleaning and trimming my toe nails. I don't have crazy hang nails but I've been experiencing discomfort while walking from previous pedicures. The other times, the nail tech would be aggressive when digging into the nail beds and pumicing my feet. Demi was very gentle while pumicing and gave me very clean french tip. It's been a few weeks now and I definitely feel better walking! My gel manicure was very simple due to the time constraint. Demi did her best to remove as much as the acrylic dip powder while reshaping my natural nail. The full set came out pretty but I did noticed a few of my nails veer to the left or right instead of them being straight. It's a small oversight but it is something I can't unsee.
