I really liked this place and it was my first time trying it. I went on a Friday afternoon before work hoping to be taken right away and I was. The woman at the front talked to me in detail about what I wanted to have done. I got a no chip mani and needed a fill as well. I would love it so much if they could do a little more with their nail designs. I wasn't asking for anything crazy just a few simple line designs. She was able to accommodate one which I ended up loving. Overall a nice little shop right off the blue line. The price was great and the service was timely and friendly. read more

WALK-INS ARE NOT WELCOME This used to be my favorite salon to go to, super friendly, great environment. NOT anymore. I walked in for a gel fill in and they told me they were completely booked for the day. Understandable right? The woman at the front told me to come back the same time tomorrow and i would be fine. So i walk in the next day and tell them what happened the day before and they said the wait would be an hour and a half. As a frequent goer, I WILL NOT be returning to such poor customer service, advertise as appointment only if your walk-in service will be this terrible. Walk-ins are definitely NOT welcome here. read more

I love this place, and I've been going there regularly for about a year now. I have walked in, but I normally call ahead and I am always able to get an appointment, even for later on in the day. My no chip gel manis are QUALITY and they last for at least 3 weeks, and usually grow out before they chip off. The price is reasonable and I appreciate getting in and out in a timely manner. Carmen is wonderful, and is always helpful when I need nail advice. The owner is kind and knowledgeable, and I love supporting female-owned businesses. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now... Carmen has been doing my nails for almost a year now and her work is phenomenal. Let me also state that I was a licensed nail technician 7 years ago so I am very picky about my nails. Carmen is the ONLY person I have ever found who does my nails the way I would do my nails back when I was a tech. No-chip mani is clean and precise, no chipping for at least 3 weeks. She takes her time and pedicures are on point as well. I havent experienced anyone else's work there, but from what I've seen all of the nail techs there do above average work. The place is clean and also one of the only places I've ever seen that PROPERLY cleans their pedicure spas AFTER EACH CLIENT. Not just a quick wipe down and then in goes the next set of feet... nope, they properly scrub and run the spa after each client before anyone new is put in the chair. That is hard to find. I found this place originally after I wasn't able to get an appointment at my former go-to nail salon. After I began coming here, I never went back to the old place. Their no chip manicures are way better than others I've had. They also have a 2 week no chip guarantee so if something does happen, they will fix the nail. I recently got married and wanted to have a little manicure get together with my bridesmaids & sisters the day before the wedding. I asked Salon Chic if they would be able to accommodate 8-10 ladies on a Friday afternoon. They were more than accommodating. They had extra staff come in early so that there wouldn't be a long wait and allowed us to bring champagne (BYOB!) and some snacks. They're truly masters of their craft & provide great service. read more

This nail salon is the coolest in Logan Square. It's clean, bright and it has a nice modern vibe. It's nice to actually sit in a place for some time where you actually feel good. About the mani/pedi: They are so many colors to choose from (Way more than in other places)! I got a non chip manicure and I'm really happy about it. This is easily my favorite in Chicago! The owner Trang is the sweetest lady ever and every single nail technician I've had has done an amazing job. This salon is the only one I go to since I met Trang. They guarantee their no chip for 14 days and it's a great value at $55 for a no chip mani and regular pedi. Very nice place with friendly people. Not to mention a great remodel of an existing space. If you live near by( even if you dont) this is a great place to go. Grab a bottle of bubbly on the way. They are BYOB and will supply the glasses for you. The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. They have a wonderful selection of high end polishes as well ad OPI and Essie. I had a pedicure and was really pleased with everything from the polish application to the exfoliation and beyond. Ill be a regular customer here for sure. read more

Salon Chic, formerly Look Nails, is an amazing place to spend your hard earned money. When it comes to nails, I am extremely picky about the quality of the product and the service. The new owner is fantastic and makes you feel right at home with great conversation. In addition to a great owner, the other nail technicians are amazing. Danny has done my nails twice and I am always happy with the end result. Both technicians are thorough with their work. The owner also makes you feel comfortable and ensures the the work is done well. Today I splurged a little bit and took the owner's suggestion of trying the organic pedicure treatment scrub and masque. I tried the lavender scent and it was so soothing. I also enjoyed the extra massage during the pedicure during the treatment. The renovations are not complete yet, but the establishment still looks fantastic in comparison to other nail places in the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SPOT! read more

Got a gel manicure with no-chip polish here today, and it is *flawless*. Everyone is super nice and they have SO MANY no-chip color choices. Navy was awesome! She was even able accommodate my request to keep the gel layer thin to make my nails feel a bit more natural (even though they're so damaged from a bad set of acrylics I got at a salon in California). To top it off she filed them into 10 perfect ovals and helped me pick a fabulous red for summer. Needless to say, Navy is the only one I'll be trusting with my nails from now on. If you're planning on coming here after work, I recommend calling ahead to put your name down for an appointment. I've walked in during the day and I've been able to get in right away but I noticed tonight a lot of walk-ins were having to put down their names for appointments an hour or so later. Not a big deal as they try to get everyone in who wants their nails done, but those with appointments have priority. read more

This is my favourite place for gel sets in Chicago. I am always able to be seen when I call for a same day appointment, and it is conveniently located right in the heart of Logan. Everyone who works here is friendly and very good and what they do. I have yet to be dissatisfied with a manicure: my no chip gel sets last for at least three weeks. I recommend calling ahead to ensure that everyone's time is used in the best way possible and to avoid the waiting that other reviews have mentioned. Really wanted to like this place. I'm having a very difficult time getting a decent pedicure in Chicago. I upgraded to the deluxe pedicure because it had been a while since my last pedi and my feet needed some serious attention. The deluxe treatment consisted of an exfoliating scrub and clay mask for the legs, not the feet. The service I received was very generic. Minor soak, minor filing, minor cuticle trim, minor scrubbing, minor callus attention. If your feet are in perfect condition and your main reason for a pedicure is polish, then try this place. If you need a true pedicure, then don't waste your money here. read more

Horrible place, had an appointment for a pedi and new set of gel nails. Waited an hour for my pedicure which was the worst I've ever had. Then I find out they only have one person to do gel nails and he really didn't want to do a new set of pink & white. He tried to convince me to do something else I refused and just left. I recently moved to Logan and have been going here for the past 3 months to get my nails done, I always have a good experience. I get no-chip on my nails and they have a two week policy that if your nails chip within that time frame you can come back in and they'll touch them up. They are true to their word and fixed my nails at no cost. read more
