This salon is located right next to the LBC Hangar, which is conveniently located right next to my work. The interior is well kept--organized, clean and inviting. All of the staff including front desk are friendly and professional. As my stylist, I've been seeing Michelle Wiggins for over a year for my haircuts. It had been a year since I've had my hair cut so it was time for me to schedule a pampering session. You'll have to imagine how dry and brittle my ends were lol! I was able to book a cut&style appointment online and decided to go with Sebastian since he had raving reviews. My daughter also needed a cut and we were able to book her with Amber. Upon walking in and checking in, we were greeted by the super nice staff and a complimentary drink (water, tea, sodas, or adult beverages...) Ahhh, I felt so loved already! Sebastian was wonderful. First time at this salon, Clarissa was assigned to me when I made the appointment last week. Never met her. Consultation with her was going to happen today at time of appointment. After the last couple of not so good experiences at other salons in Long Beach, I went in feeling "cautious". The moment I started talking with Clarissa it was obviois she knew what she was doing, confident but very friendly and genuinely nice. She fixed the hair-blunder from previous hairdresser, chose a perfect tone for my hair and made my hair look amazing. Let me first start by saying the salon is beautiful, staff super friendly, they welcome you with a beverage (even champagne, wine etc), great music is always playing. Yesterday was my 3rd time visiting Salon Drew, and this was to cover my grays at the root, put a toner or deposit on the length of my hair as my highlights were looking too washed out, and for a haircut. However, when I was booking my appointment I hadn't yet found the right stylist on my first 2 visits so I was unsure how my 3rd visit would go. During my online booking, I read each stylist bio. And let me tell you that when I read Travis's bio, I thought he could be the one. But then again it could have just been a very good and exaggerated bio, right? When I arrived I was super excited to meet Travis and to see if he was a good fit for me. Albeit I needed to wait a little longer than expected as his client before me seemed to have a head of hair equivalent to 3 women put together (lucky girl). Travis greeted me, apologized and took me to his station and immediately said I'm going to give you a complimentary deep condition for having to wait for me. How kind is that? Travis immediately pulled a chair in front of me and began diving into questions about my hair, what I was hoping to achieve, we looked at my Pinterest board for "Hair" that were my inspo's. Travis found a common theme in the photos and wanted to assure me he would recommend something for me to begin my journey that would fit the movement I wanted, color I wanted and length I wanted. During the whole appointment Travis was very attentive, super gentle, and we had lots of fun dialogue about his interests in art. But I want to call out that he informed me about every step he was taking with my hair. This was so appreciated because I was never at a point of concern. He met any question I had before I could even voice it because the way he is so informative. Travis seemed to be very in tune with me (but I'm sure all his clients feel this way) and I have not had this feeling in a stylist in a very, very long time. When it came to the color and cut, both were amazing. But let me focus on the cut. Travis told me he doesn't like to talk during the haircut portion of the appointment, and I quickly saw why. Because he was laser focused on the creativity. I kept my eyes closed for the majority of the cut, but when I did open my eyes it was so fun to watch him work. Travis gave me a great blowout, spritzed my hair with a delicious flexible hair spray and swirled me around my chair so I could see the back side of my hair. I was in love with the look, color, cut, and overall feeling like he took all of my considerations and gave me the look I needed and wanted. I plan to go back to Travis for every hair related need moving forward. And if you have yet to visit this salon or maybe you have but haven't yet found the stylist that fits you, please, I implore you to make an appointment with Travis. This review is for a blow out only. I had a wonderful experience with Salon Drew and highly recommend it. I reached out view Yelp for services and quickly received a response that I could schedule my appointment online. The appointment system was very easy to use and was able to schedule easily. I arrived to my 10 AM appointment a bit early and the receptionist was quick to greet me and made me a very delicious coffee. Unfortunately, she did tell me that my stylist was running 10-15 minutes late but I let her know that it was fine but had a hard stop at 11. The Salon Drew team quickly pitched in and someone stepped in to get my hair washed so as to not to delay. My stylist (I'm sorry, I forgot her name) was friendly, worked quickly and made my hair look fantastic. I got the Luxury Blow out which included, wash, blow dry and loose curls. She was able to get me out the door by 11 AM. Next time I need a blow out, I'm definitely scheduling at Salon Drew. read more

Puja did a terrible job on the violet burgundy balayage I asked for. I showed her a photo of a violet burgundy color that I wanted done on my hair and she ended up making the color a very dark violet and the color barely showed up. Instead of a balayage it looked more like highlights. She told me that after a few washes, the violet burgundy color would start to show. After about two weeks, the color was uneven throughout my hair and then the color ended up being almost completely gone. My hair looks worse than before. The only parts that some of the color stayed on was my front bangs. I ended up paying $446.46 for the whole service and the R&Co shampoo and conditioner brand that they sell at the salon that she recommended to help hydrate my hair. The bottle is so small and didn't do anything to help my hair feel smooth and hydrated. It's a huge waste of money. I reached out to Puja about the issue with my hair color and sent her photos of how it looked. She then told me to call the salon to set up a toner appointment. I asked Puja if the toner was part of our previous service that we did and she confirmed that it was. I called the front desk to ask for a toner appointment that was apparently part of my service and confirmed with the front desk if it was no charge and they confirmed no charge. I talk to Puja again and she asked her manager about it because she apparently didn't know even though I already communicated with her about it and now she wants to charge me $54 to get toner which is just a 30 min appointment that won't do anything to fix the color. Puja said that after a few washes, my burgundy hair color would start to show. It did not. All the color is completely gone and it looks even worse than before. I literally paid almost $500 to get my hair to look like crap. It doesn't even look like the pictures I showed Puja at all. She didn't even acknowledge how bad the color faded out. I've been to other salons for a balayage and no matter what color I did, it was strong enough to stay on for MONTHS! It did not fade out after only a few weeks. After Puja asked her manager about the toner service being no charge and part of my previous service, she informed me that they have a 2 week policy to redo my hair if I didn't like it, but Puja told me that after a few washes the color would show up to what I wanted. Does not make any sense and service here is ridiculous! read more

He saved me about a year ago when I cut my own bangs and continues to make them amazing. I trust him so much that I actually scheduled an appointment with him right before a big photo shoot because I knew he'd do a great job. Came here I believe last month for a simple blowout which naturally comes with a shampoo wash .... Have to admit it was really nice in here cool little vibe , had a nice selection of drinks , they have the men's side sectioned off and closed up which I thought was cool. First thing first I've been only going to my hair girl in the pink room for the last 6 years where I get a wash , cut , and blow out for $60 (we are old coworkers so I think she hooks me up)... ANYWAYS I seen online it says $59+ here for a blowout but I ended up paying I believe either $79 or $89 I was like woah because the blowout was really mediocre to me and I was so sad I paid that much and had to cheat on my girl as she was on vacation but I wanted my hair done for my passport photo. I wanted my hair to look a bit more bouncy and volume,it ended up looking like what a day or two day old blow out regularly looks like... & I didn't want to push it as it was taking forever as is & I do recall the stylist mentioned something about me not having layers , I pretty much just got my hair straightened, I posted a video of what my blow out usually looks like with my regular.
