Ohhhh Salon Lashe... A business with NO business sense. I had two visits to the salon, the first being a set of lashes, then a few weeks later a retouch....in the meantime I was off getting married and then in Maui for two weeks. Upon my return on the red-eye, my Dad had to have an emergency surgery. I contacted the salon via phone and was transferred to a full VM box, so replied to a appointment reminder via Email to cancel an appt. This was all within 24 hours of my appt. A few days later I received a nasty message from Nicole telling me it wasn't 'cool' to cancel my appointment. I played the message for my husband and we both were speechless...I called and left a VM asking what the problem was? A week later I notice that she had charged my American Express card the full price. I initiated a dispute with Am Ex and Nicole stated that they never heard from me and made several attempts to contact me. I then printed off my email to them, my phone record showing the date & times of my calls and their 'policy' on the website which was not the same as what she presented to Am Ex. As I was about to fax all this over to them and get credited back my money, my husband said 'Wait'. So, I listened to his beliefs on bad business (he owns multiple successful companies) and karma. We both laughed and I threw my paperwork in the garbage. She obviously needs to money and I don't, if she has to charge cards and lie as to why a client cancels and appointment. As for the services provided... the tech was professional and I didn't think my lashes were that great but she told me it was my own that 'lacked' and that 'in time' they will grow and the extensions would look better. I didn't know any better, because this was my first experience. When my makeup artist looked at these lashes the week of my wedding in FL, he told me that I should look into a different place and pointed out what was wrong (as he also owns a few salons that do this in Florida) I have since visited another salon, and have lashes that look like what I had always dreamed of...but better than that-the owner & staff of this salon are great business women. read more

Complete rip off!! High Oak st prices...talked me into the all mink lashes.$475! Plus buy their eye makeup remover $35. Then less than 24 hrs I had a complete reaction. Swelling red and itchy eyes. I tried to come back next morning to get them removed. They couldn't get me in until 5 days later. Suffered all weekend.. Finally got me in to get them off. Then they charged me another $125!!!! I love Salon Lashe and I was extremely impressed with my entire eyelash extension experience. --The salon itself is beautiful, the beds are so comfortable, and the location is super convenient. --I thought Nicole and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, funny, and welcoming while still being professional. It was really interesting talking with them about "lashing" and when they did my consultation I could tell they were taking everything I said very seriously. There was no rushing into anything because if they were going to do my eyelash extensions, the end product had to be perfect for me as an individual. And trust me, the end result was perfect. --Getting the lashes applied was very relaxing and I felt completely confident in the technician. They asked me how I was doing and were meticulous with their application. After it was all over, my eyelashes were stunning and made a huge difference in the way I looked. I'm one of those girls who HAS to wear makeup or I feel incomplete, but I went at least a week without a spec of makeup because of my eyelashes. I came here initially because I went to another salon downtown to get my lashes done and it didn't go well. I had a great consultation with Nicole and she took photos of the lashes I had on and showed me how they were too thick and to close to my eyelash lid. I got a removal which was not bad at all and opted for the full mink set. Night and day! Light, didn't even feel like they were on and exactly what I was looking for. I would give Salon Lashe 6 stars if it was possible. They don't care about making money, they care about give my you exactly what you want. They care about every single detail. They talked about how one side needs more to even out my eyes, what's important when having them, how to take care of them, etc.. They even give me free products to help maintain them. I used to get my eyelashes done here, thinking I could trust and was getting the best service, however I feel that the owner Nicole was not fully trust worthy and did not explain things in a professional manner when it came to my eyebrow appointment. I wish I would of read the most recent review . I was very disappointed and did not appreciate her lack of discretion especially when it came to pricing and keeping it real with me. I too was getting the wonderful compliments while I was there getting my eyebrows done. I will no longer go to this place for any service or lashes. In order to have a successful business you must treat your customers with respect and loyalty as your loyal customers give in return. She claimed she spoke to me about the 2500.00 for eyebrow service a while back, and I am well aware of my limits and would not of followed through is if I truly knew it was going to be 2500.00 I also blame myself for not asking how much it cost, and trusting this place was looking out for me in return. Since I have been going to this place for some time. I feel truly disappointed. I looked around and found the highest price to pay for eyebrows was 895.00. I paid 2500.00 and am beyond disappointed and upset for trusting. I did find another lash place that my daughter and I can go to, that does an amazing job and does not charge such a crazy price for services. Yikes. This is what I get for not listening to the other reviews or their poor rating on yelp. Listen to me-- it is so low for a reason. I got my lashes done here on a Tuesday and had to get them redone on a Thursday. I refused to go back even though going somewhere new meant having to pay. It was that bad. It was my first time getting lashes and after seeing the snuffaluffagus lashes the front desk woman had I should have turned around and walked out. They talk to you while filling out paperwork, it's definitely *not* a quiet/relaxing zone (I know alllll about the technician next to me and he house remodel), and they went way too dramatic with my lashes. Even though I stressed wanting natural lashes. Beyond these unpleasantries they just did a poor job with the actual application. I had clumped together lashes, my eyes were glued shut when they were done (ouch), lashes that didn't scale enough into the corners of my eyes and I looked quite silly not to mention they were uncomfortable. I didn't even want to leave and I told them I was unhappy but they urged me to give it a day. I couldn't even sleep at night because they were so uncomfortable with glue clumps along the rim of my eye so I made an appointment elsewhere and they were fixed. The women there said it happens all the time that girls come to them from salon lashe. I love my new lashes for the record (so it's not just an aversion to the process). Don't give this place a second thought!!!! I have had extensions for quite sometime and thought I would try a nice place simply for convenience. I made an appt. after a lengthy phone conversation with Nicole about the process and costs. I left looking like a Russian whore - my lashes were so thick and totally out of proportion to my face and I paid $600.00. The lashes started falling in in clumps within 2 days. The day I picked up the phone to call to move up my apt because I had a huge section of lashes missing from my right eye I was informed by Nicole that my stylist injured her hand and would not be working for quite some time. Bad news but what's worse Nicole tells me she can't get my in for almost 2 more weeks. Using bad judgment I returned to get my lashes reapplied. The stylist was good but she lives in Florida and only comes in periodically - pretty inconvenient. Due to a scheduling conflict, I call to change my appt. and I end up talking to Destiny - she was totally useless. She was not in the position to make appts (what does a reception do???) and she tells me someone will call me back. I call the next day and Destiny still can't help me and doesn't know when Nicole or anyone will be available to help. After three days and no call back I completely cancel because I am disgusted with the lack of customer service. The next week I get a call from Nicole asking when I would like to reschedule - really. Do yourself a favor and don't even give this place a chance. It's overpriced, the service is inferior and you won't be happy with the results. read more

I visited Salon Lashe this week and I'm so happy with my eyelash extensions. The staff was super friendly and professional the consultation before my appointment was very thorough. I learned tips and tricks not only about extensions but also about lash health in general. My stylist Damaliz was great and gave me a fluffy set of mink extensions. Salon Lashe is hands down the best place in Chicago to get lash extensions. I've tried other places in the city and none compare. The women that run the place are professional but also welcoming and familiar like family. I've had to bring my infant baby with me a couple of times when my nanny cancelled and Elena at the front desk watched her for me and even rocked her to sleep while I was getting my lashes done. I am surprised about the last review.. I think that the owner is extremely knowledgable about her products and very thorough in her services as well as following up post service. The eyelashes from Salon Lashe are by far the best I've ever worn. Unlike many other salons, they don't count the amount of lashes per eye and charge in accordance to that. I know that the women there want you to walk out looking perfect and it doesn't concern them how many lashes they need to use. I just want to share my horrible experience with Salon Lashe. For a long time I had a very bad eyebrows. I over tweezed them and they stop growing I had a lot of bold spots So, for many years , every day , I have to pencil them in before I go out. Somebody told me SalonLashe does tattoos or microblading on eyebrows I was very happy! I set an appointment for a conversation. When I arrived I met Nicole and she's explained to me how they do these services. Nicole showed me these beautiful pictures of eyebrows that she claims was SalonLashe work and the cost $2500 thousand Nicole told me how horrible competitors were in this field only they could preform the best job and results I wanted my brows done so badly! I was stupid enough to believe everything Nicole told me Nicole stated it takes 3 appointments to complete this service First appointment they do brows. The second appointment is if you want the color to be darker. The third appointment is just check up. Nicole said usually people are happy the first time and seldom do they do anything second time Also, Nicole stated this procedure last for Five years. I was very happy even though it was expensive Nicole said this woman that would be doing my brows comes once a month to work at SalonLashe from Florida So, I made my appointment. When I arrived for the appointment Nicole was catering to me, calling me sweets, honey and kissing my butt Shelly the makeup artist asked what kind of eyebrows I wanted If I wanted them to look like a hair or like a powder kind. I choose the hair type I showed her a picture with a shape I wanted to have. Shelly said she would be able to do what I wanted Shelly measured my face and drew these huge brows When I told her they look huge she informed me when she's done they are not going to be big. That my brows will look good I decided she's the professional, she knows what she's doing. I spent half a day there and finally when I was done Nicole brought me to the mirror When I saw my self, I was in shock! I just wanted cry. I told Nicole right away they were different but, she said it's supposed to be this way because we have uneven faces. I paid $2500 thousand in cash, they gave me a few papers and I left I was tired and upset. When I was finally able to wash my face the color started coming out Basically, now I have two different brows One brow is low , longer with lots and lots of bold spots and the other brow is wider, higher, shorter with bold spots too. It's looks like somebody had no idea what they doing and was just practicing on me. The pictures they showed compares to my brows seems as though the were like done by two different people I think she just took someone else's work and claims like she claims it is hers. So , I went back to SalonLashe to speak to Nicole She wasn't very happy to see me( she got my money, she doesn't care anymore, no kissing butts) so I showed her my brows and explained how unhappy I was Nicole was very cold with me and she sad I'm not done That it's normal to have two different eyebrows because my face is uneven I should comeback and they will fix them but, I will still have different eyebrows because of my face I told her she should have told me this before the service. If I knew I would end up looking like a freak I would not have had the procedure done. I can make my self two different brows with a pencil for free without paying so much money. I told her I don't trust them to do anything else on me and I just want this ugly thing to come out So, I asked for my money back. Nicole's response was no ma'am! When I ask her for my receipt because I was not given one she stated she was not going to give me. When I asked why she said she doesn't know how to do that! Which is absurd! When I ask her again she said she was going to call the police I'm not gonna give up. I'm gonna go after her, I don't care if it's going to cost me more money. I'm going to take her ass to court. I'm sure I'm not the only one who paid in cash and didn't get receipt I'm sure she's hiding the cash so she doesn't have to pay taxes Funny business going on there So I'm sure there is a lot of people who don't like they eyebrows and they want to fix them. Please do not go there. Chicago is a such a big city and I'm sure there are a lot of real professionals that are talented permanent makeup artists. You just have to look and your going to find them Otherwise, you will end up looking like me. After you pay so much money you will still be doing your own brows because u can't go outside looking like a freak! read more

This is the most overpriced salon anywhere!!! After going and getting a full set of mink lashes I couldn't believe what they charge. She quote me $550!! That's without tip and eye gel that she sells that does nothing. I did my research after which was my mistake to find out no one in the city of CHICAGO or northern suburbs come anywhere close to what they charge. I was disappointed by my experience here. They charge 4-5 times as much as anywhere else (!) and my mink lashes started falling out the first day. It was extremely time-consuming (2 hours) and the lashes pointed off in all directions and were way too long -- it looked idiotic. Not even good enough to be a prostitute, more like a madwoman.... I can't stress enough how much you should NOT give this place your business!! I got my lashes in a different state and came to Chicago the week after. I started having some issues that was originally thought to be an eye infection due to the lashes. I called the nearest place to have them looked at, which happened to be Salon Lashe. Once there, Nicole takes one look at my eyes and completely bashes the woman I previously went to and rants about what a terrible job she did. She convinces me to remove them ($90) and then to come back so she can "show me what they are supposed to be like." To my fault, I did not ask about pricing as I figured even really upscale places are usually $3-400. After $700 (no, that's not a typo), I leave feeling unsatisfied with the way they look, but still happy not to have an eye infection anymore. That night, the reaction in my eyes comes back. Turns out, I actually have an allergy to the glue, NOT an infection. Nicole, who previously was able to be contacted at a moments notice, wouldn't return any of my calls or emails. I even sent pictures of my eyes to her. Not only wouldn't refund my money but didn't even have the courtesy to communicate with me about it. I thought about calling a lawyer but already flushed almost $800 down the down the toilet, didn't want to lose more. So instead, I will just pass along the horrible experience to all of you! read more

I have never gotten eyelash extensions before and I was a little nervous to try it. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the results! My eyelashes look amazing and I'm so excited not to have to wear mascara anymore.
