After years of trying different salons, I walked into Salon M five years ago, and I haven't stepped in another salon since. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is relaxing, and everyone is friendly. I typically see Francine for my cut and color, but I've my hair done by most of the stylists. Between my teenage daughters and me, we've seen just about every stylist, and we always leave feeling confident and loving our hair. read more

I can now say I've been to every stylist here... Lexi, Kiersten, Francine, Alex, and most recently Angela. I've never had a bad cut.. never a bad color job... never a bad experience! Always amazing and top notch, and what I think is modestly priced for outstanding service! I've never been left waiting for my appointment and never feel sucked into spending more money than I budgeted for (as many other salons do). The staff is incredible and the space is beautiful. I have given a good review before when I first got my hair done here...but in reality they completely destroyed my hair. I know that I had black boxed dye hair, and with the results I didn't complain bc I was aware it would be hard to take out the color. BUT. There is a big but in there. I spent almost 500 for my hair to look like a clown. And I did it twice! And not only did they do a horrible job I called to ask to fix my hair cuz I wouldn't go outside, I showed them my hair and told them this isn't what I payed for. If my hair was only red I wouldn't be upset about it bc I was AWARE it would be hard to take out. But my hair was full of patches (I'll display a photo) it didn't even look like a balayage. It looked like I put color oops or dyed my own hair at home!!! So I went back so they could "fix it" and I asked to re highlight my hair. They said "definitely not! Your hair will fall out so where gonna just TONE your hair." And to add to that the owner said to PUT FACE FRAMING HIGHLIGHTS SO I DONT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. So they face framed my hair with some highlights that the color lifted and then I looked like a skunk. While my hair was Toned down to brown. It didn't match or make sense at all. And I didn't pay to have brown hair. So again I gave it the benefit of the doubt and said ok I'll come back. After I washed my hair it went right back to 6 different colors and absolutely looking like an unprofessional job. I left them two messages by phone and they never responded to fix the bad job they did. I will not be returning to this salon. I do not recommend at all. Zero stars. read more

I have tried various salons and stylists in the area over many years, and for me, nothing has been better than Salon M -- and Lexi in particular. When I describe my wish list for my hair, she really listens, describes her experience cutting similar hair types, and is honest about what has worked and what hasn't worked. My most recent cut with her actually put a big smile on face in the chair and left me feeling revived. It turned out even better than I had hoped. Everyone at Salon M has always been pleasant and professional. The interior is modern, attractive, and clean. And in terms of value, what I paid for a wash, awesome cut, and excellent blowdry was totally fair and worth it. I'll definitely be back. read more

I love this salon! I recently starting seeing Lexi for color and cuts and couldn't be happier with the results. I always ask for a natural looking balayage that won't leave me with harsh regrowth. After booking a consultation with Lexi, I knew we were on the same page. My color is exactly what I envisioned and have since been back for a trim and gloss. I genuinely love visiting this salon. I've only seen Lexi, but everyone seems very warm and welcoming. I couldn't recommend Salon M enough and can't wait to return. read more

I liked the salon at first as u had a great hairdresser. After she left i realized they were catty and rude.

Francine has been my colorist for 6 years now. She is wonderful and my hair always comes out really well. I alternate between just a base color and base color with highlights to maintain my blonde color. I've gone to the city in the past and have never had such consistent results as with Francine. I'm so happy that she has opened her own salon. It's so beautiful and spacious. read more

Was visiting Croton on the Hudson for a week and needed my hair cut & colored. I was late due to transportation issues and Angela, my stylist, was very understanding. Angela did a great job suggesting color options and conditioning! I am in the sun a lot! She did a great job shaping up my "bob" cut! My hair looked amazing when it was done! The salon is decorated so cute with a comfortable atmosphere! Services are a little pricey compared to Florida but well worth it! Highly recommend Angela as well as Salon M! read more

Lexi is amazing! I get my hair colored and cut with her. She does a gorgeous job with highlights and colors. I've gotten blonde and more recently red. Everyone at the salon is friendly. Well, What can I say Salon M Sytlist are amazing, from Francine, who would normally do my hair, to Angela, who did my hair yesterday, and when I tell you it was a job in itself, spent hours bringing it back to a healthy, beautiful look. Their prices are so reasonable and they care about the community, always giving back. Another thing I am so impressed with is they never overlook, so you are never left waiting for your appointment, which tells you it is all about the customer and their satisfaction. I was in desperate need of a haircut. After calling several salons, I called Salon M and just my luck, they happened to have a cancellation same day. When I went into the salon, I was cheerfully greeted and asked if I cared for hot beverage or a bottle of water. The salon was nicely appointed and comfortable. Francine the owner, was my stylist. She listened to me and started styling. My hair looked amazing! Francine is great to talk to. She's low key and friendly. I'm so fortunate to have found them. I have been having Fran cut my hair for 15 years. This place is so her. She has developed a team of professional hairstylists with different strengths. It has been wonderful to see Fran develop young stylists as well as develop her own strengths as styles change.
