Ya'll. Lauren Reyes. For reals the best haircut i've ever had. I booked an appointment with Lauren after reading all of her amazing Yelp reviews. I have lived in ATL for almost three years and have been searching and searching for a hairstylist who can color AND cut! I would find a good colorist, but they couldn't cut - or they could cut, but not color, OR they straight up couldn't do either. I really had started giving up hope. I am very cautious about who I go to but I after having my hair cut/colored by Lauren I have found THE ONE! I will going to Lauren for my hair as long as I live in ATL. No joke. Here is why. I came to Lauren with long, boring hair and a color I was not happy with due to a bad coloring with another stylist. I showed her a photo of a cool lob I wanted, but was nervous to do. She completely put me at ease, told me exactly what she was going to do while assuring me that it would work with my bone structure/look. I know that if she felt another style would look better on me, she would let me know and make suggestions. She gave me a glaze that corrected my color and it looks WAY better. By the time we got to the cut I was not nervous at all. I didn't even notice as she took all those inches of my hair off - I knew I was in great hands. Not only did she deliver on the EXACT hair cut and color that I was looking for - but she showed me how to style it for after I left the salon. She recommended products for me but also said if I had products I preferred I could bring them in and she would take a look and let me know if they were right for my hair and show me how to use them. I went with a few of the products she recommended and have been using them for a few days - they are great and my haircut continues to rule. Finally - aside from her work as a stylist, Lauren is just an awesome person to spend an hour or two with. Super funny and nice - and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. Lindsey and Reese do my color and it is amazing. They listen really well to understand the results that I am looking for and follow through beautifully every time ( I change my hair about every 14 to 18 weeks). They are meticulous in their application, it never hurts or burns, and they never get messy. They are so creative with their ideas, I couldn't say enough good things. For my haircut, I switch around. Aaron, the owner is an incredible stylist but he is booked out forever and can be a bit tough to get in. Ren and Destiny have both cut my hair and they do an amazing job every time. They listen well and the final product is easy to style and maintain. The salon itself is gorgeous. Huge windows and a rotating selection of art that you can purchase makes every visit like its your first time. I love that they assistants keep your wine/beer glass full they also offer soda tea and coffee! The salon seems to be very well cleaned and maintained... it doesn't ever feel cluttered or messy. The product lines they carry are amazing also. Kevin Murphy seemed amazing but didn't work for my skin. I was able to return it slightly used with no issues and get my Aquage that does work with my super sensitive skin. Despite all the color processing, my hair is silky and strong thanks to the products that the staff has recommended. All in all, this is hands down the best salon I have ever been to. They deliver exactly what you want and will make it clear if what you want can't happen and why. I also come out of my consult with a complete understanding of the process to get the results I'm looking for and whenever I leave the salon, I feel like a million bucks! read more

Absolutely incredible. My first trip to Salon Modello was on Saturday. I made an appointment with Amber at the front desk. She was very nice and offered a lot of information upfront, which was incredibly helpful. I was still a little nervous. I have a very important event coming up and I needed to finally do something with my shapeless hair. I went in and was greeted by the nicest people I've seen in a long time in Atlanta. My appointment was with Ren, who is incredible. I was immediately put at ease with her as I gave her a bumbling vague sense of what I was looking for and why it was important and she ran with it. She explained what she thought would work best with my face shape and -this is HUGE, she reshaped my hair but very minimally cut it. She sculpted it and let me know how and what she was doing. She gave me some wonderful and easy tips. The atmosphere was so calm and inviting. They offer you a drink when you come in and the music doesn't make you feel like you're in a nightclub. It was really refreshing to see everyone having a really nice time and getting along. Some salons I've been to, it's pretty obvious that there are rivalries, but these people joke and laugh with one another and help any way they can. Everyone looks busy but they look like they're enjoying their time there. I was completely blown away by Modello. After getting expensive lackluster haircuts elsewhere I know for a fact that this is the salon I'm going to be visiting regularly and Ren is a huge part of that. I was a new client at Salon Modello, but I felt welcome from the very beginning. I am getting married in a couple months and want to get my hair looking fantastic before then. I booked an appointment super easily online, for a consultation to get my hair colored with Reese. I went in to meet with him and we discussed what we would do for my hair, decided we should put me on the books for a haircut as well as the color, I had planned on getting, and he hooked me up with some great product, that was actually super affordable (you would spend the same or more buying something from ULTA). Plus he was super friendly and accommodating so that was a definite plus. About a week later I went in for my haircut (by Jacqueline ) and color (with Reese). Jacquie did an amazing job on my cut, let's be honest I needed to have it cleaned up and I was of course concerned with losing length but she somehow got it looking super healthy and cohesive without having to let go of much length at all. Also she was a sweetheart and I felt like I was catching up with an old friend shooting the breeze with her while she chipped away at my hair. Then I worked my way over to Reese's chair and there was a lot for us to do with my color and conditioning, but he handled it like a champ and made the experience super enjoyable. When it was all said and done my hair looked fabulous and we have another date set for my next color round at the end of this month. I moved to Atlanta approximately three to four weeks ago and haven't had a stylist I trusted or liked in the past two years as I was constantly having to move. Heather not only made me feel at home but always communicated about the process, advice, and ideas. It was the first time in a long time that I felt like someone treated me and my ideas regarding my style and my hair as a priority and the amount of talent Heather has is incredible. She never disregarded me as a generic blonde appointment or dismissed anything I suggested. From the moment I stepped in the salon, I was greeted by three employees and asked if I was comfortable or if I'd like coffee or water. It was very sweet and not overbearing at all. I only waited for 5-10 minutes as I was early. It was so nice to see a salon where the employees were on time on a Saturday and setting up their stations. Everyone had a "ready to work" attitude and that is really encouraging when you walk in to know that the people you're entrusting with your hair really care about the services and products you receive. I went from a warm medium/long length uniform blonde highlights to a dimensional cool blonde lob (attaching pictures in the morning). I never felt unattended or forgotten. Heather was very knowledgeable and dedicated to achieving something fitting to my description while making sure it was appropriate for my face shape and skin tone. I've been going to Salon Modello for 2 years now, having heard about it through fellow pixie-cut girlfriends, and I haven't been anywhere since. - Great cuts: I've had great cuts by owner Aaron and cut and color by Lauren. Both are great at listening to what I'm looking for while making suggestions for what would be even more flattering. - Great color: The products they use have really solid longevity, even if you aren't always the most vigilant about proper maintenance, and also pretty easy on your hair. I recently went platinum and still have hair I like to touch and that has largely retained its natural texture. Lauren was amazing (and patient) at helping me find something experimental while still being professional. I've not personally had my hair colored by Reese but friends rave about him (and he's just so dang nice!) - Great staff: I always feel welcomed like a regular when I come in. Things are almost always running on time, and when they're not, the front of house staff are very attentive which makes the time fly. - Great facility: Always spotless. They have a gallery vibe with works by local artists for sale, which is pretty fun. I never struggle to find parking on the street. tl;dr - if you have opinions about your hair but need professional input to make sure it's as flattering as you imagine it to be, like feeling like a valued customer instead of an appointment slot, this is your spot. read more

I came to Atlanta with my husband for a business trip. While here, without our 2 small children - while my husband worked - I thought this would be a great time for an unrushed new hairstyle. Pregnant with our 3rd child, and busy taking care of our other two tots - this mommy was feeling a bit frumpy. I called on a Tuesday morning and they were able to see me. Lindsey covered my gray :), gave me some nice soft honey colored highlights and them used an amazing glaze on my hair - giving it a healthy look and shine. Aaron - who was super friendly and helpful in helping me pick out a hairstyle that I loved and one that would work with my thick, full head of hair - went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. He is an amazing stylist/artist. LOVE LOVE my haircut/hairstyle. Not only did he give me a new style, he also gave me a lesson in how to dry, style and care for my hair. I feel super equipped to style my hair like he did when I get home... which is important for me - mommy of 2.5. Also, since the staff knew I was out of town, they were super helpful in providing my color info for a stylist to use in my hometown. They also went out of the way to tell me about some awesome places to spend my time while hanging out in Atl. Though the style was a bit pricey - it was worth every cent! I went to high school with Leah Greer and when she changed her career direction to hair I got extremely excited. She went to Paul Mitchell Esani with my best friend and I loved following her progress. When I found out she got the job here I quickly made an appointment and have been going to see her ever since! She's their make-up artist (she does a damn good job with that too) but she also does colour and she always cuts my bangs for me. I trust only three people in my life to even touch my bangs but she is number 1 for sure. Please book an appointment with her and help build her clientele! She will NOT disappoint. As a whole, I really love this salon. I'm really picky about my hair and I'm definitely picky about my surroundings. This salon has a great vibe and I really love all of the staff that works here. Everyone is always in good spirits and helps each other out when they need it. It's a very hip area and it's fun to go to being a 23 year old. I love love love the complimentary beer that I get offered every time and my boyfriend was thrilled about it. They also do cute little gathering to help promote local artists every once in awhile which I really like. They switch out the paintings on their walls and sometimes have a little salon party. HEATHER SAVED MY HAIR!!! I just moved here from Savannah and prior to leaving, my long time hair colorist decided she would massacre my hair. I searched for a salon in Atlanta and came across Salon Modello. I emailed the salon and things only got better. I got an appointment for THE NEXT DAY. That never happens. They also offer appointments fairly late (open til 9 pm) which is so great being that I work nights. The environment is very chill. Free beverages on arrival. Everyone is very welcoming. And the best part was the RESULTS. I got an appointment with Heather and she is AMAZING! She is truly an expert at her craft. As a blonde I am so cautious with my hair because the results can often be truly abysmal, however she offered me options to fix my roots and brassiness I had never even heard of. I have very difficult hair. Its frizzy, and thick, and long, and weirdly coarse in places. This posed no challenge for Heather. I left with beautiful, smooth, ashy blonde hair! The whole time, she was formulating a plan for how to progress my hair in the future. Its nice to know she has a vision and an end goal in mind. Not to mention she's an awesome person and easy to talk to. Lastly, the prices are extremely reasonable for the amazing work they do! This is THE BEST hair salon in Atlanta. The atmosphere is very uplifting with their bright lights and abundance of color decoration from the organized hair products they have. I was greeted by the cheerful and energetic red hair receptionist, Ver. Animmediately felt right at place. She is the face of Salon Modello. One of the most happy go lucky people ever and such a delight to talk to. Whenever you have a bad day, just meet her and she will uplift you with her energy right away. My hair stylist, Ben, was next level of awesomeness. He listens very well to what style I wanted, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and recommended me specifically on the right products and tools for my hair texture. He is also extremely funny, relatable and just very charming all around. The best part about him is how he communicates and naturally has a happy aura around him. He will probably be my go-to hair stylist, next to Emily who is also awesome as heck. Salon modello is definitely a great hair salon for any hair texture. I've been to other hair salons and they straight up told me they don't have any hair stylists that can work with my thick curly hair. There was absolutely no concern coming to this salon. Last week was my first trip to Salon Modello and it was such a great experience. My hair was cut by Alana, who was so awesome. I am super picky about my hair and have had a couple of bad experiences in the past couple of years, so I was so scared and worried that I would turn out with a super-layered cut I hated. Alana took a lot of time to talk with me and also called over Aaron so that all three of us could discuss some options to make sure I got the haircut I wanted. During my haircut, I felt very comfortable. Alana was really easy to talk with and she also explained things she was doing to my hair, which I really appreciated. She had no problem answering my questions, either. In the end, I finally have a haircut I love! Alana had straightened out my hair with a flat iron to get the best cut and after she was done, she put the waves back in my hair before I left, at which point I realized my new haircut was AMAZING! A week later, I'm still very happy with the cut. I will definitely be a repeat customer and am so thrilled that I have finally found somewhere in Atlanta to have my hair done! Run don't walk to Lauren Reyes' chair at Salon Modello! I'm a natural beige-y blonde who came in wanting to lighten up my color a bit and simultaneously fix a poor balayage job from another Atlanta salon. Lauren worked some magic. She is so friendly, so easy to talk with, and it's evident immediately that she knows what she's doing. She's also super FUN to be around...which is important if you're sitting in a chair for a couple of hours. Lauren really takes the time to understand what you want and talk through your best options. On my visit, she was so thorough in explaining what she planned to do and why, which helped to establish upfront that we were on the same page. I've never been so confident with a hair stylist before and encourage anyone reading this to drop your current stylist and book with Lauren. She will take you to hair church! This place is awesome. After going to the same hair stylist forever (since I was 4...I am 29 now) it was time for something new. I tried a few places and just wasn't "wowed" by the cut. Then I entered the awesome-ness known as Salon Modello. I went to see Alana and she was great...she told me what she was doing to my hair, what product she was using, how to use it and why. For someone who has extremely fine/thin hair and no clue how to style hair this was fantastic. Alana gave me a wonderful haircut; I made my next appointment before I left and I think Alana and the other stylists did such a great job I am paying for my boyfriend to go get his hair cut there. (I can't wait! I am excited for him to be as excited as I was.) They are amazing. Friendly, knows hair, great salon products and did I say amazing? I love this place and Alana. Got both time cut by Alana, and I must say, I am hooked. I am addicted to getting haircuts and have never returned to a salon twice, but Alana is that AMAZING. She is meticulous, detail oriented and will get your hair looking PERFECT. She's great at listening to what you want, whether you have a particular vision in mind, or you just have a vague sense. She will talk it through with you, get a sense of who you are and what you want, and bam, make your hair look fabulous. I can't stress enough how amazing this place is. Its far and the parallel parkings are a nightmare for me, but I will brave them each and every time for an Alana hair cut. She's great with long hairs, and short. She can do super pretty, long hair with lots of layers and it falls just right with practically little effort on your part, and she's also great with funky, short bobs, as with my second cut. A smidgen pricier, but worth every penny. Really excited for my third appointment. read more

I found this place online. Normally I try something new depending on people reviews. I haven't found one 4 stars review about this place.. Obviously people LOOOVEEEEE this place. So I gave it a try. I went to a different place to get silver hair.. But they pretty much gave me a combination of BLUE, GREEN, GRAY, ORANGE... The whole rainbow.. I needed to fix this mess ASAP. At this point my hair was FRIED already. I saw some of Reese work and I fell in love.. I choose him, and since I got there he explain everything about the condition of my hair, what needed to be done and everything else. I love how they actually care about the health of your hair. I don't think i ever met hairstylist more professional than the people that work at salon Modello. The atmosphere and the energy of the place and people is Amazing. There SHOUILD be a 10 star rating of BEST HAIRCUT in Atlanta by Alana. I am telling you they are absolutely amazing. The salon itself is modern and open with the feel of an art gallery. They use great products and have reasonable pricing. Alana is the best ever! She listened to what my needs were for styling my hair at home, paid close attention to what my hair needed to stay & get back healthy, and gave me the best darn haircut since I lived in NYC. SHe helped me pick out the best cut for my needs and kept me smiling the entire time. Everyone who works at Salon Modello is great. An artistic eye is what separates the best from the majority. Creating beauty does not come naturally for many people, but it does for Alana. I recently had my first trip to Salon Modello in Atlanta and received much more than I expected. I expected to be happy with my color and satisfied with my cut, like I have been for the last few years with various stylists. Instead I am thrilled with both! Alana took time in ensuring both cut and color were what I was looking for, talked with me about home hair care and styling and kept me thoroughly entertained while I was with her. Salon Modello is a really awesome environment with super friendly people in a great location. Can't say enough good things about this place and the girl who cuts my hair - Alana Flynt. She's definitely the one to see. I'm the type of person that HATES my hair every time I get it cut, but every time I go see Alana she gives me exactly what I want and makes it look amazing. She's super friendly too - talks to you the whole time which is awesome, and makes sure that you're both on the same page as far as what you're looking for goes. I always leave happy after seeing Alana. No matter what style you're looking for, she can make it happen. I went from having an asymmetrical cut with both sides of my head shaved to a short, layered shoulder-length style. I just had my hair done here for the first time by DeYonna and I definitely will be returning. I donated my hair (cut off 9 inches) and I was pretty nervous about the drastic nature of the cut. DeYonna was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and confident that I was going to walk out with great hair. She definitely listened to me about what I was envisioning but also had some fantastic ideas about what would look good. She really took the time to make sure that I got the best cut possible. She even said to me that she wanted to make sure it was "perfect" and something that would work for me. I love my new cut! About the salon itself, I thought it was great! The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was welcoming and engaging, and the service was very timely. DeYonna was ready to take me immediately after I finished the initial paperwork.
