I've been here twice before and was trying to schedule a third appointment to get my roots done, but the entire consultation process this time has been frustrating to say the least. After I sent my initial request I got a response asking for pictures of my hair to which I said I'll be able to send the pictures soon since at the time I was out of the house. Some personal matters came up and I didn't send the pictures until the next day. I can fully admit my fault for this, and while I don't need to explain the delay in my response, I can recognize how this can be frustrating from the business' POV. Regardless, that doesn't warrant me being left on read and ignored for 2 days afterwards. Also, the second time I was here was disappointing. My hair cut was uneven, the bleach was splotchy, and the toner left various shades of grey, purple, brown, and somehow pink in my hair. And, there was a giant bleach stain that covered the span of my shoulders left on the back of my shirt that neither the stylist, I had Jeanne this time, nor their assistant decided to point out. Still, I wanted to come back since I was happy with my first appointment here and the second time wasn't enough for me to look elsewhere since the issues I had were mainly covered by the rest of my hair anyways and the shirt is replaceable. My experience this time though has left a bad taste in my mouth and I think I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Jeanne was patient and thorough answering all my questions after inquiring on yelp and did an absolutely beautiful job! To start, my hair was up to my butt and hadn't been touched for 2-2.5 years (pre-covid) so was in dire need of lots of love. I lost touch with my previous hair artist of over 12 years and needed a new home for my hair, and believe me (I'm picky haha), this is it For my first appointment, I had set a pretty high goal of going from dark brown (almost black) Asian hair to a bright ash blonde balayage plus a hair treatment and cut. My looooong stay (7ish hours! 100+ foils!) was comfortable and fun, all the staff were welcoming and attentive. I was provided with snacks and drinks throughout my appointment and educated about my hair and how to better care for it. I look forward to a long patronage with Jeanne and her team! I was extremely disappointed with my results from Jeanne. I went in to get my hair lightened from black to a chocolate brown and I ended up with extremely damaged and uneven hair color. I paid to get my hair done by Jeanne but instead her two assistants ended up doing the majority of my hair while she went along and serviced three other clients. They started off by putting bleach all over my hair which is normal to remove the black but Jeanne left me unattended while she proceeded to do someone else's hair. During that time my hair got so hot to the point that there was so much condensation in the bag that she wrapped my hair in and water started leaking all over the floor. It wasn't until they saw the water leaking on the floor that they decided to check my hair and immediately rushed me to the sink to wash out the bleach. By the end of my service you can tell that my hair color was very uneven and it got so much worse after just one wash. She recommended that I use a color depositing shampoo which I did but that simply was not enough to fix how uneven and orange my hair was. Prior to my appointment I specifically told her that my only request was for my hair not to turn out orange even if it meant having to go a darker brown and yet I ended up with orange hair. I also told her to trim my hair to get rid of any damage that was caused by the bleach. However, the ends of my hair are extremely damaged and full of visible splint ends even after the hair cut. Prior to my appointment my hair was relatively healthy and now my hair is so brittle and my ends are constantly breaking off when I brush it. I have had to restrict using any heat on my hair due to how brittle my ends are. When I pay to get my hair done I expect it to be done by the person I am requesting and not by assistants who you can tell are new to the industry and still learning. Especially if I am paying for the price of the experienced hair stylist. I am not one to leave bad reviews but I am extremely disappointed. read more

The price of the service was overwhelming worth it for the great quality of service. I've been looking for a salon that can give me what I really want but only this salon has done it! I messaged them via IG and they were quick to reply with all the information that was needed. With that said, I felt confident enough to book my appointment. Come the day, I was set with Karen. The hair cut was really bad. Honestly I really wanted to come here for a balayage but came in first for a cut. The stylist was really nice and heard I wanted a color and squeezed me into her schedule but the hair cut came out almost like a blunted bob at uneven angles on top of my regular hair. I had asked for long rounded layers with long curtain bangs and couldn't tell it looked like this cos she curled it first. I called a couple times and usually no one ever picks up the phone, so I texted them photos of my hair and was told I'd hear back by end of day but so far it's been days now and no response at all. No one wants to call or pick up, basically they just offer you to come back in without speaking to you, and after the cut I did not feel comfortable coming in again for another one. read more

I have been debating on leaving this review for months. I hardly ever leave a negative review unless my experience was really really bad. I've always felt bad about a negative review because you think, oh maybe it was just an off day for someone here. But every time I think back at it I think I should warn others because we expect to get our moneys worth for our services, or at least not get charged on a botched hair job. I was surprised this happened at a 5 star reviewed salon, I've never had a 5 star experience with them however. Anyway, I came in with my hair up in a half updo and had no time to wash my hair pre-visit. Which I thought was okay since I was only getting bangs cut. I thought maybe they would add water and dry my bangs a little with a blow dryer since it would take like 5 minutes max, maybe they would charge me extra but whatever I really didn't mind. Not the case!! The girl, who seemed to be the one in charge of the salon came in and started cutting into my hair and asked me where I wanted the bangs. I wanted them a bit shorter, since my hair grows out pretty fast, and she proceeded to cut while the gel was still in the bangs and when she would show me the length the hair would LITERALLY STICK UP, because she didn't bother to remove the gel first. I asked if I could get some water on it and she sprayed them maybe two or three times, which of course would do NOTHING, and proceeded to cut them again because at this point there was now ay of knowing if they were too short or too long. At the end I left the salon with my hair literally sticking up and the stylist didn't even flinch! I'm sure she knew deep down how horrible I looked, but I'm not the type to cause commotion so I left like that, which I regret to this day. Of course when I got home my husband had the time of his life laughing and comparing these pictures (I had already tried washing and blow drying my bangs here to try and make them work). Btw this was not the first time I didn't get what I asked for at this salon. I had come in earlier last year to get my hair done for a wedding and asked for a voluminous curly 50s like hairstyle and I left with flat curls and their justification was that my hair was too long and thick to do it. Umm, I think length and thickness adds to the volume, and my hair was half way down my back! I always get volume by styling it myself so I had no idea how they managed to get it flat. read more

Had a sudden urge to chop my hair, and came across this local salon on yelp. Emailed to book and appt and someone got back to me right away. They luckily had some availability so they sent me plenty of dates and times that were available. They also luckily had availability for same day. As I walked in I was offered Tea,coffee, or water and was again offered an option of snacks as I was getting my hair done. Today my stylist was Elicia and she was amazing!!! Went in for cut only to trim off damaged ends, layered with curtain bangs, and with v shape at the back. First, hair wash. Guy who washed my hair had great technique. It's unfortunate that I had a great experience the first time, and then a horrible experience the second time. Elicia is a horrible hair stylist. My haircut was whatever and not extravagant. Didn't look much like the picture and not worth the price Also, she asks me if I have psoriasis. HOW DARE SHE! There could have been many other things she could have said to start a conversation while doing my hair. Like "how is your weekend going," "do you have any plans coming up" ANYTHING BUT THAT. Asking about my skin condition is like asking someone how much they weigh or if they're pregnant and actually not. To answer your question Ms Elicia, it's eczema, not psoriasis. Get your facts straight and be more considerate. Also, my appointment was scheduled for 4 pm. That day I get a text asking to come in at 430 since they're running late. I get there at 430 and Elicia says that I'm late. I told her about the messages I got and she asks to see them. AS IF IM MAKING THIS UP!!! she didn't believe me! I show her my phone and she doesn't even have the decency to apologize for being rude. She also said that she has another appointment at 5 pm and that my haircut would need to be rushed.
