Annangel does such a great job on my hair, one of the reasons I look forward to going to San Diego is so she can cut my hair & do my highlights! Jolene Corkle is as good as it gets! She is so dialed in that I literally let her do whatever she wants to my hair knowing it will look great. She has taken my drab ash brown hair to blond, chocolate brown, black, red and back the black. And it's still super healthy!! She can fit you in her schedule in a pinch (uh, right before a Vegas trip, thank you!) and is really a great person to spend a couple hours of your time with. Angela Mansour will be the ONLY hair dresser that I will ever let touch my hair again. She has been my hair dresser for years now. When I first started going to her , my hair was dry, thin and would never grow. Today , my hair is the healthiest and longest it has ever been! She is a master with color!! I can go almost 3 months with not having my color redone because she does such a great job using my natural color with whatever low light/highlite i decide i want that visit. Laura Aceto has been my hair dresser for over seven years. Before Laura, I never knew my hair could look so amazing. I remember the first time she styled my hair - I was in shock that it could look so good - I immediately booked another appointment and never stopped. I have long, wavy (frizzy!) hair and Laura is the only stylist who knew how to manage it - from the highlights that perfectly complimented my red hair, the cuts that kept the length but took away the heaviness, to the perfect blow outs that made my hair silky smooth - Laura never disappointed. Going to salon radiance 2 for the first time I was a bit apprehensive. I am usually picky about my hair and wanting to do a completely different dye job I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. Franchesca did such an amazing job. Before meeting with her I was in contact with her sending photos of what my hair looked like and what I wanted. She listened to every word I said and in the end it turned out better than I expected. A friends of mine who is very talented won a san diego news 10 best award. As such, I thought I would try Kendra Kaparic, the 2010 award recipient for best hair colorist. My first impression was the salon was very run down. Plus it was Thursday night so a Harley meet was occurring. I thought I am going to give it a try she must have some talent. I showed her my pictures and was very detailed as far as color and cut. What I was asking her to do was nothing new to my hair but she was new. So I wanted to be clear. I wanted a highlight and root brightener. She thought she could add a bit more dimension to my hair with some low light. I said ok. The result was a head full of ash gray hair, with sloppy zebra bleached slices on the top. I told her immediately after I looked in the mirror the color was not right and too dark. She said for me not to worry, all of her clients say that, I need to wait until she blow dries it and flat irons it. Still too dark. I was more vocal and told her my hair has never been this color and I do not like it. She said she could "fix it". She starts randomly putting in sloppy foils on the top of my head. I said oh, that was smart in case it was too dark you saved your mix. She said "no, I was just being lazy. I am going to use the left over bleach on my next client. I gasped. I did not know what to say at that point. I have these foils in my head and a terrible hairdresser. I told her I needed to call my husband to tell him I would be late. While I was doing that she put my left over bleach on her next client. Then washed out just the foiled part of my hair and dried it a bit. I could not wait to get out of there. Kendra Kaparic is nice, but in need of training. Her technique and salon etiquette is very substandard. I tried to verify her license with the state licensing website using her name. But I was unable to verify her license. I may have not been searching the site correctly. The person who corrected my hair suggested I post my experience on yelp so others can know before they go. read more

Cyndi was awesome! She is so sweet and really knows how to color hair. I got partial highlights done and I couldn't be happier! You know your hair looks great when you get multiple compliments on how natural your highlights look. I highly recommend Cyndi and Salon Radiance 2! Salon Radiance 2 is in cute little downtown La Mesa. Its one of th prettiest salons I've ever seen and feels so comfortable inside. When you get your hair washed, its in it's own backrroom with relaxing music playing. The whole salon gives you a warm and comforting feeling the entire time you're there. I have been happily going to Kendra Kaparic for my hair for nearly six years, first at Risque Salon, and then I moved over with her to Salon Radiance 2. I have been so happy with her work on my hair all this time. She does a beautiful and extremely meticulous job and one of the complaints people usually have about their stylist being complacent with them with time has NEVER applied to Kendra. She still goes out of her way to do a great job on my hair and takes great pride in her work. It was difficult for me to make a change as I am originally from Los Angeles and had a stylist there for a number of years. I am frankly a little picky and that is why I like Kendra, because she is very meticulous and careful. One of the things I like the best about Kendra is if there is something I would like her to do differently, she is always very receptive and happy to make any changes. For example, once about two years ago, I felt like I wanted my hair a little lighter after it had been done, and even though this was due to a miscommunication on my part, Kendra was extremely helpful and relightened some sections until the desired results were achieved. Frankly I find it rather appalling that an individual such as "D.H." would post such an inaccurate and mean-spirited review of Kendra, after going to her only once. Unfortunately D.H. does not seem to be speaking about Salon Radiance 2 when she says it is "run down," because the salon is nearly new - less than a year old - and is really beautiful. When friends of mine have come in with me or stopped by when I am there, they all say how lovely it is. I think that DH's comments may have to do more with herself than with Kendra. In all the years I have been going to Kendra, and two of my friends go there also, whenever we want something changed or done differently, not only does Kendra do it right away, but she makes sure the job is done exactly how we want and is very meticulous about her work. I did not even recognize Kendra from the comments "DH" made. It was as though someone else was speaking with her. Kendra has done a beautiful job on my hair for almost six years, and I would recommend her to anyone. I hope that a prospective client to Kendra and Salon Radiance 2 would see these highly subjective comments for what they are: the rather mean-spirited venting of an otherwise obviously miserable person. Anyways, I do recommend Kendra very highly and I know that she has many other clients that have been going to her for many years who also appreciate her fine work. read more

I was really happy with my first haircut and the second is just as good. I have been going to Audria Fiore for over 5 years and she is an awesome hair stylist. She is an expert at color and manages to make my thick, dark, wavy hair a very pretty blonde color that I can easily blow dry and style straight, which trust me is no easy feat.
