Been looking to try other pizza places in the area, so we stopped in here before going shopping. I remember another pizzeria in this location from many years ago and it was nice to see that they've updated the decor. The place looks new and beautiful and has a nice outdoor seating area. I wasn't looking for a big lunch, so I had the chicken noodle soup and a plain slice. My husband got a nice pasta dish. Everything was delicious, from the salad to the soup, to the bread, to the pizza. Our waitress was also very sweet and attentive, and the best part was the price. $28 for two people! ONE STAR I wish I could give 0 stars this place is unbelievable I walked in no sign saying seat yourself or wait to be seated So I went to the talked with the manager asked him what the situation was either order at the counter or seat yourself he said go ahead and sit anywhere you want I will send a waitress out to you right away. All right I headed out to find a seat there was only four tables taken out of about 15 in the whole place I said at the bar by myself sticking out like a sore thumb The waitress came out took the peoples order behind me left came back in two minutes with their salad both times never said a word to me a few minutes went by another waitress came out next to me putting a table together now and never said a word to me some regulars walked in and they ran over to them handed the menus and took their drink orders 15 minutes had gone by now I got up and walked out No I went here cause friends from work said it was great food really a let down and surprisingly I read the reviews on yelp after I got back to my truck so many of the reviews said the waitresses were horrible really upsetting and would just ignore you LOL The owner of this place really needs to read some of these reviews sounds like the food is amazing and nice portions. read more

Awesome. Stopped in for a slice while in the area, wasn't expecting anything special but for $4 I was treated to one of the largest slices I've ever had, and it was awesome. Chicken parm slice had toppings piled high, and even though my slice was reheated it was crisp and perfect. read more

Called in a simple order for pick up of two slices of pizza and two salads. They said 10-15 minutes on the phone. We showed up about 20 minutes later only to find out that they hadn't started our order. With a practically empty restaurant, that should not be acceptable. Not only that, but only after waiting for another 5 minutes did they care to mention that they now had to make a pizza from scratch to fulfill our order, which they still hasn't started. I would say this is the best Pizza in Dutchess County, the food & service is awesome ... I have never had a bad experience in this place and the best part the owners are Albanian which is a plus in my eyes because I am a descendant of Albania/Yugoslavian... the owner Pat is the nicest guy ever he is always so polite and nice to my 2 daughters always a smile on his face...I would definitely recommend this place to everyone or anyone!!! Very disappointed in Sals we have been ordering from the Fishkill location for years In the last two weeks we only ordered 2x. Prices have increased since the pandemic and portions cut by 1/3. Calamari was $12.49 as opposed to $8.99 and only enough for one person. This time we ordered mozzarella sticks, which they didn't have, so we accepted fried ravioli as a substitute...5 came with the little cup of sauce for $9.30 as opposed to $7.50. We are in town from Indiana and wanted to try a local slice. Called Sal's and the customer service was amazing! Had a great laugh with the gentleman who took our order because we asked for garlic butter and he wasn't sure what we meant (must be a midwest thing ). But he asked someone at the shop and they made sure to get us some garlic butter. And the pizza? Tastes great! We will be back to the area often as we have a child reporting to West Point so we will be sure to order from here each time we are here! read more

Pizza slices are large and crisp. When you hold your slice it DOESN'T FLOP like most bs pizzerias outside of the Bronx. I'm not easily impressed by pizza outside of my local Bronx pizzeria that I grew up on but Sal's Fishkill is a contender! Large variety of pizza. Crust is perfect. Slices are flavorful. Good food but horrible customer service. Where I work I only get 30 minute breaks. I always call about an hour in advance but they take about an hour and half to deliever. This first happened on the weekend and I forgave them because lets face it, weekends are busy. However it happened again on a tuesday and I explained to them I only get a 30 minute break. I called about three times in the whole hour and half I was waiting. The final time I heard the manager in the background of the phone making fun of me. That really turned me off and if they honestly make fun of their customers within range of hearing them then their not a good company. This is a place we often order pies from at work. Their extra-large pie is enough to feed a small army by itself, and a single slice (which is the size of a catcher's mitt) is plenty filling. Delivery times vary, which is no different than any other pizza parlor in the area. All in all, they're a good place to eat from. read more

This place recently changed it's name to Sal's Pizza 2, and I think there might be new owners. Anyway, as Pizza Phil, it was a pretty good place for pizza. I've tried it since the name change and the pizza is not as great, for some reason. The slices are a good size, at least. Might be worth keeping an eye on. read more

Normally I would have nothing bad to say about Sal's BUT I ordered catering recently and told them that we needed it by 2pm, we did not receive it until 3pm and mind you that we were literally 5 mins down the road from them. on top of being an hour late the delivery driver said "I had to slam on my brakes and some of the sauce leaked out." Some of the sauce was an understatement it was a complete mess! I was do upset, I spent all this money on food and it comes an hour late and is a mess. I called sal's and I wanted to speak to the manager and he wasn't in at the moment he was supposed to call me back and never did!!!! read more

I've been driving by Sal's every day for almost a year to go to work, and today was the first time I have gotten food there. It really is a little gem- the slice I got was the best I've had in a long time, it was also a very large portion, I've always been a fan of pizzerias that use extra large pies for their slices. Service was very friendly, I wish i had caught the name of the gentleman that helped me today. I would definitely recommend the location to friends and family. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of what they have to offer, as they are extremely reasonably priced. And again with the friendly service.... Food always tastes better when the people behind the counter are happy- it's refreshing to find someone who seems to enjoy being behind the counter. read more

My husband and I have been going to Sals for about a year now, never had a bad experience, a few mistakes but it was always handled nicely. We have had their pizza at our parties and spent well over $100 to do so. Tonight however, my husband ordered hot wings. He came home and they have this thick bbq like sauce on them. They are not hot, they are sweet. My husband called to let them know that there was an issue was met with attitude " well what would you like me to do about it" was the response he got. He said " this isn't what I ordered, I'd like a credit please" then a girl got on the phone, my husband explained and her excuse was " they are fresh wings" that had no merit on the situation at all. He told her it has nothing to do with the cooking it's the odd sauce, it's sweet and gross. He said this has happened before and it was an honest mistake. She got nasty, and said " well I'm sorry they are fresh wings, there is nothing I can do for you" my husband said "if you're using this hot sauce I'll stop ordering them it's no big deal, but these are not what I ordered" she said " well I'm sorry there is nothing I can do for you" he said " okay fine I'll take my business elsewhere" and her response was along the lines of " that's fine, bye" Way to lose business. read more

I used to love this restaurant. They had a healthy starter option that was great for me while the kids had the pizza. The vegetable mix was changed and i didn't know. I'm allergic to part of the new mix. When i called they were hardly apologetic and insisted it hadn't changed and offered to pick out the offending ingredient. I've been working up this way for several weeks and have eaten at different places in the area. I have to say my coworkers and I have been most pleased with everything we've eaten thus far. The salads, calzones, parmigiana, burgers, wings etc... have all been good. When we're hungry and want to make sure we eat good we go to Sal's. I recently moved to Fishkill and was skeptical about several things. Believe it or not, pizza was one of my 'concerns'. Pizza is one of my all time favorite foods and I cant tell you how much of it I consume. I consider myself a "pizza connoisseur" of sort; that being said I was THRILLED that I found such an excellent pizza place right around the corner! I ordered wings on Super Bowl Sunday picked them up and was charged $10.80. I thought the price was a little high. I got home and looked at the menu. The menu said $7.50. I called and they told me the price of chicken went up. I asked them since the Super Bowl is over will the price go down. They had no answer. Just beware. Look at the your bill then look at the menu prices. So we went to Sal's with a group to have pizza and some appetizers. I had my reservations about this place since we had a bad experience once before. We ordered off their menu that was on the counter. When we got the bill, all the prices were wrong, they were higher. I asked the person that waited on us why the prices were different. She said that the menu was from their Beacon store and that they ran out of menus for the Fishkill location. The difference in pricing didn't seem to bother her. Nope, no concern, no "let me get my manager", no bother in trying to adjust the bill, nothing. Her demeanor was as if this is something they knowingly do all the time. I told her that if the prices on the menu was different then they have an obligation to inform their customers, hinting that this was deceptive business practices. What was her response? She raised her voice and rudely told me "There was about 30 people (the group we came with) in here all at once, I guess it must have slipped my mind!" and just walked away. Well since we were with a group, I didn't want to pursue this issue and ruin a good evening out with friends. However the difference in price added almost 15% to the bill. Will I go back? No way! We tried this place once before and they overcharged back then when we ordered a simple pizza with toppings. Although they stated a price, when the bill came it was higher. ( Do we see a trend here?) Hey I know business is tough, especially the restaurant business. Who needs to have the NYS Attorney General's office contacting you about deceptive pricing? Oh how was the food? How about buffalo wings that was so hard because they are so overcooked, so overly fried that when you bite into them you have to be careful not to break your teeth. read more
