We started with their signature milkbread, hand-picked peach salad, and clam pasta ... all SO good. The chef also surprised us with a little bonus taster: a bread-like bite filled with sweet peach compote that was absolutely sublime. The champignons were delicious, and the short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful. And of course, we couldn't choose just one dessert, so we tried three: the strawberry shortcake, Black Forest log with cherries, and swirl ice cream with fudge and extra toasted almonds But the unexpected star for me was the decaf coffee! I'm usually hesitant about decaf because it can be such a letdown, but this was honestly one of the most fragrant, smooth and beautiful cups of decaf coffee I've had. I would come back for the coffee alone. Such a lovely dining experience .. delicious food, beautiful little surprises, and one of those meals where you leave still thinking about what you ate and wishing you didn't forget to order a side order of the sauteed mushrooms to go All with a beautiful view of the harbor

Didn't love the mignonette it came with, tasted unbalanced. We also ordered the salmon tartare. And it did not taste good. Salmon was okay. But it lacked flavor, texture, and aroma. We paid $75 and afterwards, we went to a taco truck that blew this place out of the water.

First, let me say a huge thank you to our server, Jenny. Honestly, she made the entire evening extra special. She had this perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing--always there exactly when we needed her, remembered every detail of our order, and had the warmest, most genuine smile. She even went the extra mile to make sure my birthday was celebrated right. That kind of service is RARE and absolutely invaluable. Jenny, you're a rockstar! The food was phenomenal. Every dish was perfectly executed--flavors were on point, presentation was beautiful, and everything came out at the ideal temperature. We tried several items and didn't have a single miss. The portions were generous without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is fantastic too...upscale but still welcoming and comfortable. Perfect for a special celebration. The lighting, the decor...everything just works. The whole team executed flawlessly. From the host to the kitchen to Jenny, everyone clearly cares about giving you an amazing experience. This is exactly what a special occasion dinner should be.

We had great service and we were able to rent out a part of the restaurant that was shaded, and had some airflow since we had so many people. Our party ordered some appetizers, we had mimosas, and then we had our brunch. I'm thinking about the bruschetta, the guava juice with a mimosas, and the salmon with the corn side! I think that our party all enjoyed the food, I would love to come back on a regular day when I'm in the area and enjoy other options.

We arrived at about 1:00-1:30 and the inside main dining area was already closed to patrons as staff prepared for the evening service. The host's tone did not encourage potential customers to dine there during the transition to dinner prep. Not a great first impression that gave off a late arrival so you'll get what's leftover vibe which was exacerbated by being forgotten for what seemed to be a half hour before our waitperson came to take our order. We chose to sit in the front sidewalk patio which was cold and windy not an alternate choice we will need to make again. We ended up sitting across from two loud, self-centered, immature, foul-mouthed college grad girls bragging about studying for their masters attempting to appear cultured were distracting everyone on that patio. After we placed our order, we finished up the app and hubbs was furious they forgot about his glass of pinot which arrived without an apology for the delay preceding our plate arrivals. I had the ny strip steak on the breakfast menu which came out perfectly med-well & added cilantro rice which was good although a little sticky not fluffy. Hubbs had the salmon which looked amazing and he enjoyed the mango sauce--the dish just didn't fill him up. Good thing we ordered fresh chips, salsa& guac.--which was very well prepared; the freshest guac I've ever had. It had fresh chopped tomatoes & green chiles all perfectly combined. Our wait person/food server made up for the less than stellar first impression of the host. And the food was flavorful. The ambiance was ruined by the diners across from us and the forgetfulness of taking our orders timely and serving the wine after the appetizer couldn't bring us back from what started out as negative experience. There are many restaurants up & down the bay that we aren't bothered. This wasn't the best reception nor dining experience and we are moving on. We hope it's a lesson and possibly could've just been a bad day for the crew, and unfortunately there is so much competition out there. We highly recommend the food for its freshness and flavor; recommend the salmon dish for its flavor and balance but not for its portion size. And wish this place nothing but the best and to improve where they dropped the ball.

We grabbed 3 different pizzas for the 5 of us... carbonara, pesto and soppressata, and sausage honey. The sausage and honey was my personal favorite. I'd recommend ordering a red and white sauce to try while you're here. The pizza itself wasn't too oily and the flavors all meshed together really well. For the burrata plate, the amount of cheese you get was more than enough for the slices of bread. Surprisingly a highlight of the meal even though it's just toasted bread and cheese. I could get full on this plate alone. The restaurant had an elevated ambiance with the dark lighting, lots of seating with an outside patio in the back. I would definitely recommend grabbing a reservation ahead of time if you can. Would be a cute date spot or spot to catch up with friends! Would come again!!

We ordered a thin-crust pizza with pineapple that had a flavor combination I'd never tried before, and it was absolutely delicious. We sat toward the back of the restaurant, and it had a cozy, spacious atmosphere where we could really relax. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I don't live nearby, but this is definitely one of those places that's worth the drive. I'll absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Cocktails, Vibrant Small Plates, and Great Group Vibe!…read moreWe had an outstanding meal at Horsefeather in Town & Country Village near Stanford! The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!

The host was friendly when we arrived, and our waiter was excellent. He was personable, knowledgeable, and gave some really solid recommendations. He suggested the Belle Glos Pinot Noir and the seafood stew, and both ended up being fantastic choices. The seafood stew was hands down my favorite part of the meal. It was loaded with shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, salmon, and a half lobster tail. The seafood was fresh, the portion was generous, and the broth was absolutely incredible. I found myself wanting to soak up every last drop. My husband ordered the ribeye, and after stealing a few bites, I can see why he loved it. It was cooked perfectly and topped with a compound butter that added so much flavor. Between the steak, baked potato, and asparagus, it was a really well executed dish. The food, service, and atmosphere all came together for a great dining experience. It's not often that both of us leave a restaurant talking about how much we enjoyed our meals, but that was definitely the case here. We'll absolutely be back.
