The place is popular even on the Monday evening of our visit. We had: sea scallops, tuna sashimi, whole roasted Dorade, toasted bread pudding and espresso. I was impressed with the way these items all had their unique flavors and presentation without competing with the other items. Every course was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has multiple rooms, each with a different flare, and a heated outdoor patio. We sat in the outside patio. When the sun started to go down they turned on the heaters. The patio can be closed with outdoor commercial tent material and clear windows when necessary. When you want great tapas give them a try.

The wall o' jellyfish makes me think of Waterbar in SF. I could literally watch those little guys all day (or night?). So cool! They also have a lot of whimsical sea themed decor which I quite enjoyed. So ambiance = excellent day or night. Food: unsurprisingly, the food was spectacular. Fresh shucked (like shucked when you order) scallops that were melt in your mouth delicious. Paired with the milk, bread, divine! Apparently, the milk bread is Steph and Ayesha Curry's fav, so do with that what you will. And oh my, cannot forget the onion rings with Wagyu beef fat powder! What a treat. For my main, I did the short ribs with kimchi fried rice, a substitution recommended by MeeSun. Delightful. The perfectly cooked meat, the salty, rich and savory flavors - I was in heaven! One of our party got the whole roasted Dorade, which MeeSun deboned for him tableside. Exquisite experience - chef's kiss! Good sized portions as well, we were all very full after that food. Honorable mention to the cocktails and gold star for the wine list, which feature many from the local regions. The manager recommended a wine to us from DuMOL (winery in Windsor) and we all loved it. Planning a trip out to the winery soon... Service: this was the stand out for us. From the moment we came in, we were made to feel so very special. Warmly welcomed and whisked to our table right away. Our server took drink orders promptly and brought things out quickly. We were never waiting to long nor did we feel rushed. Plus, MeeSun came to walk us through the menu, explaining items of interest in great detail and offering recommendations for each section. I thought she might have confused us for celebrities, but in talking to my brother in law who'd frequented this establishment a few weeks before, this is a service they provide to everyone. I LOVE a personal touch, and Hurrica and their staff went above and beyond in their department. It was my friend's birthday and they brought out a card for her signed by the staff! Wow! Cannot say enough good stuff Honda about Hurrica, and can't wait to come back for the food AND the experience!

It's me and a table for one…read more Maybe the ghosts of my dad (3 years) and stepdad (2 month) floated by, but otherwise it was more a chance for me to mark the day with some self care - a good meal and some quiet time to myself. I had never been here but the Father's Day menu looked like opportunity enough to check it out. The vibe and decor actually had a very masculine feel. I'm not sure what goes on upstairs, but they have an ornate bar when you enter, linen on the tables that smells divine and is bright white in contrast with the subdued lighting of the place. You're in a cool cave of sorts with a fireplace going, even on a hot June day. I needed to write this review today because Suzanne was the star of the place. She was my server and she was so personable, so engaging, and so kind to me. I felt showered by attention, food, and hospitality. Each portion was small but balanced and told a little tale, visually and taste-wise. I had a fruit bowl as an amuse bouche with perfect berries followed by the laminated brioche with cultured butter and strawberry jam. Fun to pull apart! Fun to eat! Starter was a beet salad with burata - I would have preferred the beets to not have been grated because I love the bite of a just-cooked chunk of root, but the burata with the mustard green was pretty tasty. Loved the levain crisps/crutons. I had sea bass with saffron rissotto and creme fraiche beurre blanc something rich sauce :) Love raspberries in general but didn't love them as a garnish in this dish. The rest was good. Got to experience the fish spoon for the first time in my life! Fun little gadget, that. Black forest cake was really rich - didn't expect it to be cold and loved the cherry ice cream that accompanied. This was the one item I felt inclined to photograph - quite beautiful. Coffee was not my favorite - a bit on the bitter side - but coffee is a particular thing. I really am glad I checked this place out and would absolutely go back with a friend next time. Big respect for having the Last Word on your cocktail menu. I didn't go for it this time but that is a great benchmark of a quality place.

She was personable, attentive, friendly, and fully engaged. Everyone on staff we interacted with met the same high standard. The interior has a classic fine-dining vibe with touches of modern elegance. During our first visit we sat in the lower dining room, and this time it was on the second floor. Both offer the same refined, well decored atmosphere. And the food was outstanding. We started with the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare which was bright, fresh, and perfectly seasoned and paired with chips. The Homemade Agnolotti were delicate pillows of rich, savory filling and topped with crispy parsnips to vary the texture of each bite. For mains, the Roasted Liberty Duck was cooked to tender perfection with crisp skin, and the Roasted Tai Snapper was flaky and flavorful, set off by a beautiful sauce. For dessert the Midnight Chocolate Cake is a musthave; decadent, and not too sweet. That's not all, there's also the amuse-bouche at the start of the meal, popovers with butter and tallow, and additional sweet treats after dessert. For my next visit I'll definitely need to try the Beef Wellington. I noticed a few other tables ordering it, and it looked delicious!

We had a large group, and I really appreciated that they accommodated us inside since it was a bit chilly that day. They seated us in the front area, which we loved. Everything we ordered from the appetizers, to the main dishes was packed with flavor. Nothing missed the mark. Truly one of the best brunch experiences in town! I had the chilaquiles along with a champagne drink that came with different juice options and fresh fruit such an adorable and fun presentation. My family couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was, including the dessert. The unfortunate thing was that service was a miss. Service was extremely minimal and when I was still trying to finish my drink, the server just came and shoved the bill at me. We were there for less than an hour, so I'm not sure what the rush was about. What they also don't advertise is that they tack on a fee if you pay by credit card, and this wasn't listed on the menu. It only says so on the receipt after you pay that you "save" by paying in cash. For drinks, we tried the Guava Mimosa and Tropical Sunrise mocktail. The mimosa was pretty strong with the alcohol, which could be good if you're into that. The mocktail was quite refreshing with a bit of tanginess that helped with the heaviness of the food. For food, I tried the Corned Beef Hash con Huevos and the Taco Trio with Carnitas. I wish that they allow you to have a mix of fish and carnitas for the trio, but they make you pick only one choice. The carnitas were a good choice though. The hash was good, but definitely a bit on the heavy side. Overall, food was alright but I felt so rushed and pressured to pay the bill with the server quickly, and just felt that overall the service ruined the experience.

The toast really stole the show and I could've eaten an entire meal with just that. Pizza was good, but the crust was a little too chewy for me. So the 4 star review is because of the dessert - the Mexican chocolate bread pudding was disappointing. Overall - good service, great pizza, wouldn't recommend the bread pudding

At that point, there were only two other small parties in the restaurant. We were initially seated directly next to a group that was clearly enjoying themselves and being somewhat lively. Since most of the restaurant was empty, we politely asked if we could sit elsewhere. We were moved to another small table, and then asked if we could have one of the empty booths instead. The server said he would check with the manager, but the manager declined, even though approximately 90% of the restaurant was empty. We then placed our order. My wife ordered the salmon, and I ordered the mussels, along with the beet and strawberry salad. When the salad arrived, my wife noticed there were no beets in it. We pointed this out to the server, who said he would speak with the manager. The manager eventually brought out a corrected salad. Shortly afterward, however, the server informed me that they were out of mussels. This was especially frustrating because the mussels were the main reason we chose this restaurant--we had enjoyed them on a previous visit and specifically came back for them. To make matters worse, about ten minutes later, two families with children were seated directly next to us, despite the restaurant still being largely empty. Given the abundance of available seating, it felt unnecessary and made the dining experience less enjoyable. Overall, the combination of the seating situation, ordering issues, and lack of accommodation left us disappointed with what had previously been a restaurant we enjoyed visiting.
