Grilled Salmon Tostada
Amanda P.

Pretty good food notwithstanding the tourist -like location. Beautiful though and close to the water. Salmon Salad was fresh and flavorful. Burger was good with decent french fries. Server was friendly and fast. Overall nice experience.

Had a wonderful lunch experience in the back patio. Everything we ordered was delicious and easily we finished our plates! Service was fast, and pleasant. Servers were truly nice. This will definitely be our go to place when in town!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Great staff and the restaurant is very cute and small town feel. Benedict's are awesome! Everything we had was great along with the service.

I chose the Grilled Wild Kong salmon, capers, garlic mashed potatoes, broccolini. It was very good. Next time, I'd order the fish medium rare instead of medium. Frank Family Chardonnay 2022 from the Carneros region, which was outstanding especially with the salmon and its beurre blanc sauce. Full-bodied. In the aroma and palate, I could detect lemon, spices, vanilla, and pear. My companion had slow-cooked baby back ribs, homemade BBQ sauce, coleslaw, French fries. And Bonterra organic Chardonnay from Monterey 2022; subtle flavors. We shared a hot fudge sundae with a maraschino cherry on top. The vanilla Silverman's ice cream and sauce was delicious, but it didn't seem like hot fudge because it wasn't very thick. The ambiance is cozy and so wonderfully very quiet overall when we were there on a Sunday night--only heard the Door Dash dinging twice. Plenty of open tables at 7pm in this cozy restaurant. It reminded me a bit of being on a boat with its efficient use of space and nautical photos on the wall. You walk through the open prep area on the way to the bathroom--you'll want to note there's a step down on the way. The wait staff was attentive, pleasant, and provided gently playful comments which was sweet. Parking is challenging on this narrow street. At 6:45pm, we had to park in the nearby parking lot and walk about a block or so. We almost didn't find an open space!

A bright and lively environment with a variety of menu options for anyone's preferences, we ordered seafood, it was fresh, clean and properly prepared. This restaurant was busy in the morning, but we went after our walk for lunch when it was a little slower. I would come here again and I would order the avacado toast with crab again, along with trying out other items off the menu.

King Sesame Grilled Salmon Sandwich

First time visiting Tiburon and found this local spot. They are known for their breakfast and brunch menu so I ordered a scramble egg plate and the staff recommended the salmon sandwich. The scramble was really solid, there was a lot of meat and cheese and the hash brown was really good as well. Don't forget to ask for the ham on the side, it was really good with the sourdough toast! The salmon sandwich was good, wish there was more flavor to the salmon and the wasabi sauce. But overall a great spot and would recommend this place!

Spinach Omelette

Great little breakfast spot! I came here for the first time recently since I pretty rarely spend time in Tiburon, but I'm so glad I did! The interior decor was so cute and the service was quick. I started with a black coffee as always, and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Drip can be pretty hit or miss at a lot of breakfast joints, but this was perfectly brewed, not too burnt or watery. For my meal I ordered the spinach omelette. It came with slices of toast as well as hash browns. I'm not a huge shredded hash brown fan because I feel like they usually come out pretty mushy, but these were crispy and flavorful! The omelette was also super yummy! Overall I would absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in Tiburon!

Grilled skirt steak
Cindy L.

This was our first time here. We ordered the brussel sprouts, fennel and bacon salad to start. Then we ordered the rib eye steak and grilled skirt steak, both medium rare. The brussel sprout salad was delicious with the sweet potato chips. At this point, we had high hopes that we'd enjoy this meal. Parts of the rib eye were a little pink, and some parts were medium well. I expected the rib eye to be tender and juicy, but it turned out thin, dry and tough. The carrots and onions were crunchy. We both prefer soft carrots. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal, except it was a small portion. The skirt steak was mediocre, and we felt it was better than the rib eye steak. The fries were plain and standard, nothing special. There should have been more seasoning. The skirt steak was well done, no pink at all! It was most likely the inside cut, which isn't very tender. I would expect a nice restaurant to serve the outside cut, which is super tender (like Buckeye does), All in all, we were very disappointed and will not be coming back.

omelet with sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese plus hash browns and toast.

Went to have lunch on a lovely weekday. They were a good number of patrons but it wasn't not overcrowded. I was greeted kindly, and sat outside. Decided to try an omelet with sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese, They include salad greens, hash browns and toast alongside. My dish was nicely prepared and tasty! I loved the ambience, attentive service and would go back again.

Seafood Paella and Fries
Jessica V.

This is a cozy, homey spot for dinner with close friends. My friend and I dropped by for a late night dinner after a day of exploring the area. We ordered the seafood paella (the special of the day) and a plate of fries. The food was alright; it did the job since we were quite hungry. The seafood paella was a little watery and bland, but had a nice selection of seafood in it. The fries were standard but paired nicely with our dinner. I probably wouldn't drop by again but this dinner was nice and filled us up!

We walked up to the hostess and she asked us if we wanted to sit in the shade with an umbrella or if we would be fine without an umbrella. We told her that we preferred to sit under the shade and she told us the wait would be about 30 min or less but "probably less". So we wait, and after about 35 min, my dad goes to ask and the hostess says it'll be another 15. We keep an eye on the line and I see a party of 4 walk up talk to the hostess and then they get seated inside. The hostess never told us that indoor seating was an option. My mom, goes over to talk to them and they get us a table inside except we wait another 5 min before a server comes to us. We also had to ask someone if they knew who our server was because no one was around. The sever came over and told us that no one had informed her that she was assigned to this table and that was why we had to wait..... If this sounds like a quality restaurant to attend you're HIGHLY mistaken. If I could give this service 0 stars it would achieve such. Absolutely pitiful. "West coast service" still has yet to touch the southern hospitality we live in.

In Tiburon, where street parking doesn't exist, this alone deserves a star. The valet crew was friendly and even recommended dishes. We had a reservation but still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. It's Valentine's Day, so I get it, though it did cost us the sunset we'd timed our reservation around. We didn't get our requested window seat either, but to be fair, you can see the water from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant, and the views are genuinely beautiful. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. Bartender was quick and personable even in the rush. The Mad Men Old Fashioned and Bay Side Bellini were both perfectly fine. Food was good, not great. The jumbo shrimp appetizer was the standout: fresh, big, well prepared. The crumble cheesecake was solid too. The Kurobuta Tomahawk pork chop was a bit dry and could have used a sauce to go along with it. My Chicken Milanese had nice texture but leaned a little heavy on the vinaigrette. Mashed potatoes on both plates were good. Prices are above average but not unreasonable for waterfront dining. Staff was friendly and professional (tuxedos and everything), and the food came out faster than I expected for how busy it was. The waiter seemed a touch stretched thin, but that's a Valentine's Day problem, not a service problem. Jazz music, big windows, candlelit waterfront vibes: the ambiance delivers. One note: the restroom could use some attention. It was not in great shape when we visited.

You would think this establishment that has been around for decades should have it down to a science especially with the first impression, wrong! We came here to celebrate our milestone Anniversary and we were hoping to be "wowed" since it was our first time. We ordered the Grilled Ribeye Steak, Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop and Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes. We'll start with the Ribeye...was it even a Ribeye? It had no marbling and was not a thick cut, not even tender and had very little flavor. Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop...although great in presentation, and somewhat flavorful, it was mostly dry and overcooked. Don't bother with the side of the Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes, they were terrible and far from crispy, more like limp vegetables from the end of the day that needed to be discarded. Since it was our milestone Anniversary and there was a mention of it on the reservation, there was zero acknowledgement of it when it came time for dessert. That was a bit disappointing when it came to attention to detail. The positive in my review was that the service was satisfactory and from where we were seated the views of San Francisco Bay were spectacular! I know this is a harsh review but it's important to know for the price point, it does not live up to the quality you would expect!

The location is awsome, right on the water in Tiburon, and the vibe is cozy without feeling cramped. Seating is a little tight, but honestly it kinda adds to the charm. The Caesar salad was nothing special, no flavor, and we had to ask for extra dressing. The calamari appetizer didn't look appealing and lacked a fresh, vibrant color. Nothing was included with my $44 fish dish, so I had to order a side of roasted potatoes for extra $8, which were not fresh at all. When I asked our waiter, he said they make them daily, which likely means they were made anytime in the morning. Overall, it was not worth the $198 we spent on a tasteless dinner. This is definitely on the more expensive side, but for a special lunch or a first-time visit, we felt it was worth it. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the location made for a memorable experience. The only service issue we experienced was at the beginning of our meal. It took approximately 15-20 minutes before we received water, and guest ( they knew pretty well ) arrived after us appeared to be served immediately by 3 different servants with water and wine. On a lunch bill approaching $150, that charge felt unnecessary and a little unwelcoming. It certainly wasn't about the $2 itself, but rather the principle of it. That said, the food and overall experience were excellent. Our server apologized several times for the long wait, and that genuinely made a difference. She was attentive, checked in on us, and even brought out warm bread and butter to help make up for the delay. Her efforts did not go unnoticed and were appreciated. That said, the delay wasn't her fault. The issue falls on the kitchen, FOH management, and/or the GM. On a major dining weekend like Father's Day, service and execution should be a priority. If you know it's going to be a busy holiday weekend, staffing, preparation, and ticket times need to be managed accordingly. We've been waiting over an hour for our entrees, and while we're fortunately not in a rush, that's simply too long given how empty the restaurant appeared. The food itself seems to be good, but the wait time is ridiculous and takes away from the overall experience. I would only recommend Salito's if you have plenty of time and aren't in a hurry. If you're looking for a quick or efficient dining experience, you may want to look elsewhere. The server did what she could to make the situation better, but ultimately the kitchen and management let her down.
