Menu is small- do not order the tuna melt-it literally tasted like tuna from a can (although they claimed fresh, I'm not too sure) The atmosphere/view is cool-definite hipster vibe. overall it was just ok. The Salt Pub is just what Ilwaco needed. This space is the best location in town due to its proximity to the water and great view of the port. From the second story tables you can see the entire port. Good drinks, good food, and everyone is extremely friendly. I will be spending too much time here when I am in Ilwaco. read more

Hands down best place I ate at while staying nearby in Ilwaco. Right on the marina which was nice to hit on the way back to camp after fishing. Great atmosphere, service, and even better food. Great place in an area where there's not a whole lot! Friendly staff and quick service and a really cool, modern environment. Reclaimed wood, metal table and chair legs, and a pool table. The atmosphere was nice but the food quality wasn't the best . I ordered the cheeseburger and it was probably the saltiest and tiniest burger on an over sized bun I've ever eaten . We had dinner at the Salt Hotel Pub Restaurant. My wife and I both had the halibut and shrimp special. The meal was incredibly delicious. Probably the tastiest halibut ever. Very fresh fish and I know seafood! The halibut was pan seared, not fried and served with sautéed kale and carrots topped with a light lemon butter sauce. We ordered a Pinot noir which was perfect with the halibut. I highly recommend this restaurant. This compares with expensive restaurants. read more

This is the most lovely and friendly inn and pup ever! Our room was clean and well furnished in a beach style. Food at the pub was excellent! Monday open mike night brought out young musicians with great talent- we're sending American Idol to Ilwaco! We hope to rerun again! read more

We stayed here to save some money over paying double at the Adrift Hotel. The hotel is dark. Dark floors, dark walls, and a tiny shower. My boyfriend hit his head on the shower knobs while attempting to bend over. If you are over 5'9, I probably wouldn't stay here. I couldn't even shave my legs in the shower. The pub downstairs is horrendous. We waited almost two hours to finally get food. When we did, it was completely charred black and covered with "micro greens" to cover up the mistake. We sent it back and the server paid for my boyfriend's substitute burger. They claimed they were short staffed. That's fine. I've worked in the food industry. I know how stressful it can get. But don't make us wait two hours and give us lukewarm food that's charred underneath. Not ok. I'll bite the bullet and stay somewhere more expensive next time. read more

Needed some lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon and went to Salt pub. Greeted warmly at the door and had a nice seat to watch Sunday football. Had a local beer and it was great then our food arrived and OMG that was some awesome food. I had a cheeseburger and it was perfect. Definitely glad we stopped and will be back again. read more

We eat at the Salt Pub almost once a week. Everything on the menu has been wonderful.The bowl of soup with the toasted bread is always good. The Seafood Poutine is the best value on the menu. The ice tea is very good and it is refilled as so as you need more. All the staff are attentive to every need and you can sit outside and eat if you want to. read more

We spent the morning at Cape Disappointment State Park (which was amazing by the way) and found the Salt Pub on Yelp. The salmon fish and chips were incredible - probably some of the best we've ever had. The staff was friendly and our table sat looking out at the marina. The salmon was "day salmon" meaning it was swimming that morning and on our plate at lunch. Yum! read more

Stumbled on this great little spot while wandering around the Long Beach/Ilwaco area. It also ended up being an Open Mic night, which had my 2nd grader enthralled. We had the Brussel sprouts appetizer, which I would urge you to try even if you think you don't like them. They're sautéed with pork belly, and topped with cheese and julienned apples. SUPER TASTY! I had a nice spinach salad and butternut soup (meant to get chowder, but this was good, too), kiddo had the tuna sandwich from the kid's menu. Portions were a bit larger than she could handle, but it was good. I was pretty impressed with the spot, especially given that we were in Ilwaco, and it's a nice view over the marina. I'd definitely go back again next time I'm in the area. My only hesitation in 5 stars was that it was freezing inside. We had to wear our coats, but maybe that's because we were sitting next to a window. read more

We came into town last minute. Actually it was about ten minutes before closing time. They were amazing. They gave us the best room! We hadn't eaten and were starving and they kept the kitchen open late for us. My dad and I split a tuna melt and a rock cod sand which. Both were super flavorful. The only thing is I wish the tuna was a little warmer. That being said the potato chips were fantastic and the French fries were probably the best fries I've had since I can remember! Definitely worth coming and eating here again! read more

I went to Salt when it first opened and though it was alright, it wasn't my favorite. Well, they have a new chef and what a difference! The food was outstanding. The menu is small, but I doubt that there isn't something that you would enjoy. I had the nightly special (New York Strip with bacon marmalade) and it was a good sized meal at a reasonable price. It was also "plate licking good". They are now doing a "brunch" on Sunday mornings that is out of this world. I just had the Sunday Morning breakfast and can't imagine going any where else. It's still a very quiet place, but as soon as word gets around, I think that it will be the "go to" place for a lot of people. read more
