From tacos, to tostadas and burritos, you have multiple options to try. I had the fish and shrimp taco, along with discada fries. The fries were awesome. Full of flavor from the discada, which is a beef, pork, chorizo and bacon combo. Would definitely opt for those again. The tacos overall were very tasty, I love the sides of salsa/crema that came with them. The batter on the shrimp and fish was light and crispy, but the blue corn tortilla was underwhelming. this is a good spot if you're in the mood for tacos AND beer and not have to go to two separate places as SALT shares their space with catalyst brews! You order at the window and pick up your food when called. Service was nice and prompt and the vibe was super relaxed there. Lots of space inside and a decent patio too that's dog-friendly. For food, We ordered a variety of tacos (fish, shrimp, steak, and chicken) and also the loaded fries. I'd say the tacos were ok, nothing bad but nothing really special. There is uniqueness in the clue corn tortilla but it fell flat with no flavor and almost felt like there were stale or day(s) old. :( I also didn't think they were worth the regular price MAYBE I'd try them again on their taco Tuesday. You can get better nachos from the gas station. $15 for over salted stale chips, cheese water, and cold meat. If you see them at your local bar leave ASAP. Gross. Yuck. The manger asked how it was I said not good explained why and he offered more cheese water. read more

What more could you want than beer and tacos? We went on Taco Tuesday so we got one of each taco for $2.00 !!!! Most taco places when offering Taco Tuesday deals only allow you to choose between a couple tacos, and seafood is usually off the table for the "deal" SALT allows you to try all they have to offer on Taco Tuesday. So this definitely is the best spot. We tried octopus, pallock fish, the discada (which is a blend of bacon, pork, and chorizo), the steak, chicken, shrimp we tried them all. Good bite to go along with your beer at Catalyst Crafted Ales. The first time I went I had fish tacos and asada load fries. The second time I got the abodaba burrito. I wouldn't come here because I want tacos. I'd go there because I want a beer and a bite to eat. I'd probably get the load fries again. They douse it in liquid cheese which is my favorite. More cheese the better. Again it's ok but I've had better tacos with more flavorful meat. read more

This is the restaurant inside Catalyst Crafted Ale House. All I can say is WOW! it's an order at counter place, so you're never sure what you are getting. First off, the service is amazing. The counter servers can answer all your questions and are well versed in every ingredient on the menu. If it's slow, they will deliver your food to your table (or bar) or give you a heads up if it is busy you'll need to pick up. Second, the menu is great!!! I am a vegan at a seafood place, but they said they have veggie tacos not on the menu that are vegan friendly. We ordered so much food and nothing disappointed! When at Catalyst, don't be scared. SALT is located inside Catalyst brewing, so when we're craving some Mexican food and a beer, this is a perfect location. We absolutely love their shrimp burrito. It's huge and bursting with tons of flavor and great texture from the cabbage inside. I am a big fan of both of the salsas they provide with your meal. The burritos are so big that you really don't need an appetizer, but if you're hungry, I recommend the guacamole. Super fresh and very tasty! I'm gonna say that the tacos weren't bad but they weren't great either. It was pretty busy when we visited Catalyst and wanted to try out some tacos from SALT. After ordering we sat and enjoyed a beer and kept waiting and waiting. Groups ahead of us kept getting food before us. After about 20 minutes we asked about the order and she either didn't ring it in properly or the kitchen lost the ticket. When we did finally get our food it was just okay. The general flavors were there but they were all over cooked. I'll give 'em another shot and see if it was just a one off. read more

Little tucked away in a Tempe strip mall but went here for Taco Tuesday and it's really tough to beat $2 tacos anywhere. I think would be pretty disappointed if these (almost mini) tacos were full priced closer to $5. That said, really liked the flavor - got one of each. It was easy to walk up to the window inside and order my food. They brought it out to me where I was sitting. I had the carne asada burrito and it was wonderful.
