Total vintage vibe, in a good way! We were seated against a wall in a 2-top with comfortable seats. Our waiter was Joe, who was FANTASTIC. Chatty and polite and helpful with any questions we had. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the hubs ordered the Prime Rib. He said his was good but did mention that it'd been a while since he'd had Prime Rib and we forgot how much grissle there was (not the fault of the restaurant, of course). He said his was cooked perfectly. My Filet Mignon was really really good. It was not the best I've ever had (the Gaylord in Chula Vista, CA, still gets that nod), but it *was* delicious and cooked perfectly. Prior to the meal, a pimento cheese and olives and ... (crap? pickles?) Sorry, I forgot to put it in my notes, but they bring a little trio of yummies as kind of an amuse-bouche. The cheese was really good, I have the appetite of a bird so had a bit and left the rest for the hubs (who devoured it). They were out of Cheese Curds - which struck me as odd, because they hail from Wisconsin. It almost seems like you really need to *NEVER* run out of cheese curds, or am I wrong? (shrug, I did not ding them a star for this - the question is rhetorical) I didn't notice until I got home that their cheese curds are listed as 'beer battered'. I do wish I'd noticed that when I was there because I would have liked to have asked Joe how that happens. The whole point of cheese curds is their freshness and that they have that little squeak when you eat them. Okay, okay, I got sidetracked on cheese. The place is adorable, it looks like a great date night place, our dinners were good. We didn't order cocktails, nor did we use the restroom - so I cannot speak to that. A Wisconsin Style supper club in Boise, Idaho? What?!?…read more I was recently on a work trip to Boise and had plans to meet a couple friends for dinner on my first night in town. They suggested Baraboo Supper Club, having zero knowledge that there were any nods to Wisconsin here. Baraboo is a town in Wisconsin and this supper club is owned by a restaurant group in Wisconsin. Also, supper clubs are a very Wisconsin thing. So, does this live up to the Wisconsin Style Supper club hype? It does. It's not an exact replica of how we do it here in WI, but it's close enough to be charming. I enjoyed one of their whiskey cocktails, which was finely rendered. For my dinner, I got the salmon entree, which was delicious. It comes with broccoli and fingerling potatoes which made for the perfect meal. The dining room is warm, welcoming, and just beautiful. The service was friendly and accommodating. Get to it!

Our server came out promptly with water, asked for our drink order, and after getting drinks, discussed the menu with us. We were a group of five. The menu is small in size, but big on flavor. We ordered the Beet Salad, Crispy Cauliflower, the Cubano, Bahn Mi, Croquetas, and the Basque cheesecake. Very surprisingly, the Beet salad was the favorite!! We worked with Erika the Community Relations Coordinator. She was awesome as was the whole staff. We scheduled it before the bar/restaurant was open for the day and had the whole space to ourselves. Erika and team put together a great menu and she had a bartender on staff. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend!!! We brought in our own decorations and Erika added floral bouquets at each table. I didn't take pictures of our food it was a lovely fruit salad and Gaston's croissants with lovely toppings. And lots of mimosas.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

After being seated, our server greeted us and brought water. We hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu yet. Then... nothing. We waited over 20 minutes without our server returning. We couldn't even make eye contact with her to ask for help, so we finally flagged down another employee just to order drinks. When she brought the drinks, I politely told her we'd like to pay because, at that point, we no longer wanted to wait around for dinner. Instead of understanding, she became defensive and told me our server "wasn't maliciously ignoring you." I had never accused anyone of intentionally ignoring us--I simply wanted to leave after waiting so long without service. She then told us our drinks were free, which I never asked for, and continued speaking to me with an unnecessarily rude and condescending attitude. This wasn't just slow service--it was how we were treated afterward that was most disappointing. A simple apology and a little empathy would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant.

They were prepared table side on a cart with about a dozen ingredients and 4 different dressings to choose from. The salad chef was super friendly. It was a fun twist with having a fresh salad before your steak. Unfortunately my steak was served significantly underdone. The manager that was roaming the dining room noticed that there was something wrong at our table and came over. He instantly saw the issue and had the kitchen cook the steak to the medium rare temperature that I ordered. He apologized profusely and comped our cheesecake dessert and gave us two chocolate muffins. By his reaction, it sounded like they had a different chef cooking last night and this rarely happens. Regardless, I appreciated his quick response and efforts to make things right. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and professional. My one coffee refill took an extraordinarily long time, and my girlfriend's specialty coffee--which was the most expensive item we ordered--was never followed up on once it was finished. We also waited a long time just to get the check, almost as long as it took us to pick at our meal. When the server finally returned, my plate was cleared but her uneaten food was left sitting. Apparently that's harder to find in the Treasure Valley than good beer. Then we found this gem. The Last Call was playing, and they were fantastic. In fact, if I ever get frustrated enough to open my own brewery just to show the Treasure Valley what it's been missing, they're getting the first call. They'd be the anchor band. Great atmosphere, great beer, and--best of all--live music. We'll definitely be back.

The Caesar salad has way too much dressing and the lettuce is not crispy enough. It's a great time when they host dancing or Trivia, but I would not come here on a regular night nor would I ever order their food. Their drinks are good but kind of depends on the bartender because sometimes they're not made correctly according to the ingredients listed on the drink menu.
