Way overpriced. Their atmosphere looks a little ritzier than the outback in Conroe, but the outback is far better for prices and quality of food. We decided to try a steak salad from saltgrass and it was literally literally the size of a kids meal. I've always been a fan of salt grass for decades, but this location never seems to have it all together. The times I've been, the service is lacking and the food is not that great. We go here often for large group gatherings, but the last two have seemed more of an inconvenience. Will find another spot in Conroe for our gatherings. read more

Mrs. Christy, one of the nicest, most professional managers has been at this location for a long time. after covid when things were trying to get back to normal, a family member with a compromised immune system wanted to visit this location, but he was very weary. The restaurant is one of our favorites! However the Thanksgiving dinner they offered was not very good! The picture of the plate used in advertising it just didn't look anything like the actual meal! There was smoked link style sausage in the stuffing that just ruined the flavor! The green bean casserole was kind of sour tasting! We were disappointed in the food but our waitress was very good! my wife our adult son and myself ate at this restaurant on Saturday march 14 at around 5pm. we were seated in the row of tables between the bar and the window booths which is a very tight area with almost no passage around tables when the bar fills up. the waitress was very untrained and inattentive. Glasses went empty, dish were not picked up timely, table was small and crowded. Both my wife's meal and mine were wrong. My wife sent hers back and it took 30 min. to get a replacement, it was a chopped steak with nothing else on it. You might think a simple hamburger patty would not take so long but my son and I were eating slowly as to wait on her meal but we still finished before her hamburger patty arrived. I got the 8oz steak cooked medium with fried shrimp, and a baked potato with NO sour cream. It came with no butter and double sour cream. The steak had absolutely no seasoning on it and was tough as hell. I should have sent it back but did not. It was absolutely the worst steak that I have ever had to endure! This will more than likely be our last visit to this establishment! Simply horrible! With not one visit by a manager to apologize for my wife's meal being wrong! NO EXCUSES! read more

This is my wife and I's favorite Saltgrass. We have one in College Station which seems to always miss the mark but the one here in Conroe has almost always been amazing. I try to take advantage of their lunch specials which are M-F and knock a couple bucks off the steak and whatnot. Otherwise you can expect to make $15+ for a lunch. It's worth it to me because of their great service and delicious food. I've tried a lot of their different options but the last time I got the Chicken Fried Chicken which is always YUM. My wife got the steak sirloin and had no complaints. Their bread and honey butter is always a must-get as well. We like to sit in the booths in the bar but we don't drink anymore. It's always the most comforting spot in the place. We've done the tables near the kitchen before and it gets a little hectic with waiter shuffling food in and out quickly. So, just take my word for it. This is a great date lunch or dinner place. Oh, and be sure to get the Landrys member club card which gets you $25 for birthdays and point accrual for other bonuses. Texas is known for doing everything big and what do you do when you're in Texas? Go to a chain restaurant because everywhere else closed at 9 and food decisions were made at 7:50. So I was out with some new friends and we needed food and it was our last night in the Lake Conroe area and we wanted to eat at an authentic Texas BBQ place. Clearly that didn't happen as most places closed at 9 and we would've have been able to make it but I knew I wanted to gorge on protein Texas style and Whataburger wasn't going to be an option at all. So I fired up the ole Yelp and began searching but nothing came up until one of our friends simply suggested Saltgrass and with time to spare, we all met up there w/ our party. The restaurant was definitely big if restaurants had personality. The interior looked like a classy steakhouse joint but the vibe was definitely not. The servers and staff were well dressed and very professional but seeing as how we were the 8:50 party of 11, I could tell we were THOSE people. We get sat and some of us got there first and so we began ordering. Looking at the menu, I was deprived of good protein so I checked out their steak options and since it was a vacation for me, I wanted to splurge. I checked out the options and decided on the Porterhouse which was a 22oz monster. At $9 more than the T-bone which was 17oz, it seemed appropriate. The service was alright. Nothing to write home about as our server seemed a bit absent minded but we were sat, we got all our drinks in, and everything flowed relatively smoothly. So let's talk about the food. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection! The meat was tender, it was easy to cut, the medium came out beautifully! The seasoning was a bit much though. It felt a bit too salty and the butter felt like it was just splattered onto the meat which lacked a presentation display. But overall, the steak was beautifully done! I will say, some of the steaks they seemed to leave on the gristle which didn't bode well for some of my friends who order the other cuts but overall, the food was great. It's definitely a Texas based chain restaurant and literally, if you want good steaks, go here. The service is to be question as our server was a bit absent minded and didn't pay as close attention to our table which was a bit offputting but overall, a decent place to eat. read more

So they run a ghost kitchen for Uber called lickity chicken and they can not get a order right to save their life I got 5 piece tender in lemon pepper and a 5pc with garlic parm first thing that went wrong is they say it comes with fries but they forgot them on both orders. Also they put garlic parm and lemon pepper on the same 5pc and the other 5pc was a basic spicy Nashville tender also paid for signature sauce and ranch and only got 1 ranch no hope a manager sees this cause this was god awful and not worth the money read more

Our waitress was Hailey (I hope I got that right) and she was fantastic! Our drinks were never empty, she stayed on top of food, and even fixed my steak for me. We got the pickles and peppers (fantastic) I had the steak and shrimp and don't regret at all! My significant other got the new york steak and it was one of the best steaks we've had when eating out. The artichoke dip was made poorly but the manager took care of it for us. Franconia's Bock was available on tap. A decent Bock but I have had much better. My husband and I have been going to Saltgrass for years and their steaks are just as good if not better than going to a place and paying $35 or more for a steak. Their beer battered bread is moist and delicious. My husband and I always order range rattlers for our appetizer..they are to die for. There are many options to choose from on there menu. They have large portions, so you may want to share. There lunch specials can't be beat. Happy hour is great. They have many specials. They offer a rewards program that once you reach 250 points you get $25 off your bill. The month of your birthday you get $25 off your bill just for it being your birthday month. If you have not been to Saltgrass you should try it out and don't just go once go several times to try all they have to offer. The one located in Conroe is much better than the one in the Woodlands, so try that location out! read more
