When my wife got home, we realized our daughter's pasta was missing from the order. We called the restaurant, and they immediately took responsibility and offered to remake it. Since it's a short drive, we went back to pick it up--and they truly went above and beyond to make things right. The manager, Angela, personally apologized and even included a complimentary dessert. That's exactly how you build customer loyalty--by taking accountability and going the extra mile when something doesn't go as planned. We dine here regularly (usually once or twice a month) and this was one of the few times we've ordered takeout, but the service was just as impressive as dining in. What stood out most is that they took such great care of us without even knowing we're Landry's Select Club members, since the order was placed online. That level of service speaks volumes. Went to Saltgrass Steak House. I was craving a steak but was too lazy to cook. I have had great experiences going to Saltgrass in Laughlin NV after a day on the river so I knew if I was wanting steak this was the place to go to. They are super friendly when you walk into the restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and will talk you through the menu if you have any questions. I got the Urban Cowboy which is a 12oz New York Strip, with grilled shrimp on top, lemon butter, green onions. For my side I got the brussel sprouts those were super good. The steak was grilled perfectly and the shrimp was a great add that gave it lot of flavor. My mom got the New York Strip steak and Romano Potatoes. What happened to salt grass ?? I am a huge fan of most locations but this one was OFF. Leaving here upset that I wasted my money here and we all know salt grass is NOT cheap. Whoever is in charge of the country fried steak needs a talking to because it was so chewy and tough . It came looking pretty appetizing but what a disappointment it was . I started out with the tall Perfect Patron drink. For an appetizer we ordered 2 servings of the Queso Fresco with Brisket. For my dinner I ordered the 12oz Cattleman's Prime Rib with a Side Salad and their Romano Potatos. Still a good place to come for a steak. The difference for me this time was the Prime Rib vs the Filet. Having au jus for the additional flavor boost makes the Prime Rib my current favorite. It is only available on Friday and Saturday nights. My wife had the Caesar salad, and liked it. The Patron Margarita was really good. We had reservations on a Friday, and it took about five minutes to get seated. There was a nice line of people waiting. We haven't been to Saltgrass in quite some time. I had received a gift card for my birthday so we decided it was time. The food was cooked to our liking. The presentation was a little off, but everything tasted good. Olivia, our server, was really sweet and attentive. I'm not really sure why we don't come here more often. Sometimes when the service is bad I won't go back for a while, but we had a really enjoyable time. It was quite romantic when the lights completely went out in our area. I would not go back to this location. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience today. I understand that everyone has an off day, so perhaps the waiter we had he was having an off day, but he greeted us okay but by the appetizers he seemed super rushed and super fast at talking and rushing and just the whole time felt as if we were the bother. Then we waited a while as the rush for late lunch had picked up and did our best to be patient but he had forgotten to take off the discount and had to go back to correct that, honest mistake but had also asked for a to go cup, and he forgot that. And then when we asked for the sides to be separated after they were already squished together in the single large container with the entree(they were all on top of each other even the bread) he asked if we wanted it separated we smiled uncomfortably and said yes please. Then we got home to find one of the plates was missing the sauce for the pork chops we had said we wanted to take home with us. Just not a great feeling overall and then we were also celebrating several birthdays and just wasn't a pleasant experience. Well...that is no more. Was it good? Yes, but it was just basic butter, not the best. Caesar salad was good they are heavy handed with the dressing if you don't like too much ask for it on the side. The mushrooms you can add on were good too. Now to the main course. I got a filet made medium. I will say it was cooked just right with the right amount of red which is hard to find at times. The flavor though...It was lacking. Where was the seasoning? Idk. Loaded baked potato was good. Was it suppose to have bacon? Idk. I found two little pieces. Service was good and attentive. I understand it's Christmas day. Nobody wants to be at work. I had to order out today, because my freezer just died, as did Christmas dinner. I ordered 120$ in appetizers. I have never been so dissapointed. The bourbon bacon was like leather. Brisket queso? What brisket? A whole table spoon? The sirloin was nothing but gristle.
