Gannon is apparently new to the Saltgrass family but was one of the most accommodating servers who I have ever met. He was friendly and most efficient, occasionally ensuring his service was spot-on! He did not interfere with me and my buddy's conversation (which is always limited) and provided outstanding service. He has my full support for an accelerated promotion and should you visit this location, I recommend you ask for Gannon if he is on duty. Enough about Gannon, the food was delicious! Thanks again. We came to this location because they were the only one out of all the locations that said they could accommodate our party of 12. The best part of the experience here was being able to eat with my friends. First and foremost parking here really stinks. Just getting into the location is frustrating. Honestly, Daniel was a good server, he did keep our glasses full and bread on the table. From that point it wasn't great. For what seems like a high end restaurant the food isn't very good. Considering it was a busy Saturday I get why our reservation was held for almost 20 minutes. I also get why the food was coming out slow but the quality and presentation just weren't there. Keeping in mind this is supposed to be a steakhouse. The chicken fried steak I ordered wasn't even Jim's quality. The steak itself was over fried to the pound of dry and tough, the crust which would have been great at golden brown was dark red and flavorless. If you're going to serve a potato presentation is everything. Roll it in olive oil and crust it with sea salt before you bake it. What I got looked like it had been sitting at a Wendy's for 6 hours, it was colorless and dry. The sauteed mushrooms (at 6.99) were not sauteed at all, they seemed like they were stewed in a sauce on a low heat with no color and some still cold. No bueno. The Cesar Salad wasn't even good. Croutons on the bottom, very little cheese and drenched in dressing. One of the additional guest ordered a steak that looked like an over cooked kids portion. Being a steak house that was not great. Im not sure if the grill person was over whelmed or has just gotten complacent but we definitely expected better quality. As said the server was good, not great we were asked several times was there anything else? but never how is everything? There was some mix up with the checks on charging but I guess that is expected on a table of over 10. The common sensuous was we probably would have done better at Chile's. Two entrees with 2 sides each and 2 side salads fed 3 adults and 2 little ones. Minus a star due to the saltiness and thickness (was thinner than I am used to) of my 12 Oz ribeye (however it WAS tender and filing) and because the whole rack of ribs weren't as tender/juicy as I would have expected. The steak rendered a nice gravy used sopping up the sides. They give a round loaf of wheat(?) bread and butter. Came in handy with the kiddies waiting for the meal that came out pretty timely. Broccoli was cooked perfectly and was a nice amount of mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. Nice casual ambience. Clean restrooms. Writing this review throughout the meal to get an accurate depiction. So far service is on par nothing exceptional, but no complaints. Good drinks good salad, but mother's 6oz sirloin (medium) steak way overcooked to a well done -1 star. Environment and waitress are both great. 20-25 minute wait for dinner on a moderately busy night not bad. My 16oz ribeye is excellent and a perfect medium rare! Back to my steak hiatus, this place was okay but not as good as Longhorns in my opinion. My steak was over cooked, which they offered to remake it, I said no because I hate wasting food. Flavor was there, more meaty flavored than seasoning which is okay to me. We didn't like the ribs, they were small with hardly any meat. My husband also didn't like the sauce or whatever flavoring they put on it. They food was a 3 but our service was really good. We were seated fast, food came out shortly after. Went back to Saltgrass a place we once loved. Today both our steaks we very tender and fixed exactly to our liking. The nice man Zac that took our orders was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband got exactly what he ordered, however I didn't. Zac took our order but someone else brought the food. I ordered Pat's ribeye baked potato salad and a corn dish I can't remember the name. I told the young lady I ordered the corn and she said oh. I will be right back. Never saw her again. We ate and I waved Zac over for the bill and told him I didn't get my corn. I really wanted to try it. I told him the young lady was going to bring it, but she never did and I told him since we were finished plz take it off the bill. He did. I just don't understand this. Again it wasn't crowded, so. I have never worked in a restaurant but I have family who are chefs. I know it gets busy. The bottom line is this. I go out to eat and relax, not constantly having to instruct the people who are getting paid to prepare our food and get the order right! So many places are just like this and for the money, no. This place has ambience and service similar to other places like chili's and franchise places but the service is decent and the chicken fried steak is on point. Crunchy, salty, juicy, large portion. A great choice for a steak cut. The meals served pretty quick and the rates were reasonable. I recommended. But check out the other places nearby, too. read more

Your attention to detail is horrible. I waited 20 minutes for my order because your bar tender stated it was being boxed up. The whole time my meal was sitting unattended on a table on the side of the bar. So much for picking your established for a hot meal! I visited Saltgrass twice this week. I'm Dually not one to buy a steak b/c they never taste as good as my own until Saltgrass' ribeye!! It was amazing!! The manager (Eric) helped me fix an issue w/ my loyalty card and was a constant professional. Josie was our server & she truly knows what customer service is all about!!! She was personable, always checking on us (& her other tables around us), & our drinks never went empty. I'll definitely be back & will recommend this location to everyone! 10/10 will be back and asking for Robert as our server again! It's just my mom and I so thanksgiving is usually a toss up. We were going to go somewhere else for lunch but ended up at Saltgrass and it was amazing! The food way great, from the drinks to the queso, and my steak came out perfect. My moms was over cooked to how she normally likes it, but she had no complaints after the first bite. As a first timer, I was willing to give this place a shot. Service was good, in the beginning. Drinks and bread came out quick, BUT it took 10 for to-go boxes and then yet another 10 for our bill to come out, and ANOTHER 10 to collect payment. Altogether we spent 30 mins just waiting alone. Menu options were good, and prices weren't too bad. But for the quality of food? Absolutely not worth the price. Let's start with the appetizers. The bread and butter was good. Soft on the inside with a good crust. The butter was nice and sweet. Probably the best thing about the entire experience. The fried mushrooms were burnt and the breading was so thick the size was of them so deceiving. The "cheese fries" were really country potatoes with a sprinkle of cheese, a small dollop of sour cream, and a pinch of green onion...oh and these were ALSO burnt. Wife and I ordered steak cooked medium. It came out well done, no slight pink center, it was brick grey. The mash potatoes we ordered were supposed to be "loaded" with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and onion. Nah fam, they were clumpy, cold, and had almost nothing on them at all. My son ordered the kids sliders, they were more bread than meat. All in all, the place sucked to say the least. We're not ones to complain about food while we're there, have you ever seen the movie "Waiting" yeah no thanks. We paid our bill and went our way. But it's the absolute LAST time we're going. Wonderful lunch of steak and shrimp--asked for medium well, got well done but it was still tender and delicious. Grilled Shrimp was wonderfully seasoned. The Caesar salad was very good and fresh and had perfect amount of dressing, the sweet potatoes were thin and crispy and had a fantastic flavor.The dark bread was crusty and warm and delicious with the soft butter.
