My Dad and I came here for lunch one day. He loves this restaurant and comes to eat here often, so I wanted to try it. The bread that comes out before the food is soft, hot, and fresh. I couldn't stop eating it, but I had to or I would have been full before my meal came out. I ordered chicken fried steak with a side of mac and cheese. My Dad ordered the chopped steak. My mac and cheese tasted delicious! It had just the right amount of cheese and I ate all of it. My chicken fried steak.....not so good. It was very, very chewy. I was disappointed with it. First we ordered our drinks, my husband ordered a ranch water and when he got it as he took his first drink, the glass split in half and dropped all over the table and his shirt and lap, so many waiters around and at least 2 managers but I couldn't get any of their attention until a busboy walked by(mgr replaced drink and removed it from the bill, but of course at that point because my husband's shirt and pants were soaked, our night was over). Second I ordered sweet potato fries and got a sweet potato, I dealt with that and ate it, it was fine, my husband's steak was not good. As soon as our food came I ordered a side and it took about 15mins to get to the table, we had already finished. We finally got our check and it took our waiter over 15 mins to pick it up and she walked by at least 2x just looking at empty tables. Soooooooo it was a wonderful dinner experience. It all began with drinks which were amazing. You have to try their Bloody Mary and Pepino margarita they were both full of flavor and had great alcohol content. We had the wedge salads and they were full of toppings and fresh. I went today September 29 for lunch with some friends. I had the lunch chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes. I had the fried onions for appetizer My food was absolutely terrible. I did not finish the meal. By the time I got to my house I was in total vomit mode. I am still thinking if I should go to the doctors for my vomiting. I will never go back. The ambiance seems to be better at certain times of the day. Sometimes it can be way too dark in the center of the restaurant. What redeems this is that the music is usually about the right volume. Although, again, the lighting is unusually dependent on the weather and time of day outside. The food was good, specifically the steaks. We did have complaints about the quality of the food, but they were minute problems for the most part. The service was quick on the uptake of trying to amend our problems and making us more satisfied. In fact, they could sometimes be described as too helpful and appearing too frequently. The baked potato was my number one problem. It was most definitely undercooked and the contents of the bake potato were minimal. Soooooo loud. Not the place to go for a relaxing meal but they do have good service and food. The Range Rattlers are a good app and the steak and grilled shrimp were a good meal choice. Stay away from the mashed potatoes. They tasted like they had sooooo much sugar in them that you were eating a kid's cereal. I am not sure if someone spilled it in there by accident or added it twice. I am not even sure why they would put sugar in mashed potatoes but no one at my table ate them. read more

This trip was worth every coin. But one tip most servers fall short is not providing a bag for to- go containers. Got on the waitlist which said 0-5 minute wait, no parties ahead of you. Arrived 5 minutes later, checked in, informed them of my waitlist add, and continued to watch 3 ladies in front bicker about waiters not wanting to serve 6 people when they had and hour and a half before they closed. I got an email a week before Christmas (I'm on their list) that they would be open, so I made a reservation. At that time, I was told that I would probably have to wait 15-30 minutes after my scheduled time, with the implication that if I had been a member of their frequent diner club (which costs $25) I would be seated sooner. I was told that I could ask the server about the club when I was seated and that joining online would not be soon enough for me to use the benefit this time. We arrived shortly before the appointed time and he was correct, it did take a long time to be seated. Once seated, we ordered cheese fries and we were asked if we would like bread. Sure. When the bread was brought, there was no butter. The cheese "fries" were not French fries, but steak fries. We were given no small plates until the butter arrived. I ordered a salad with balsamic dressing -- they brought the salad undressed, and asked me when they presented it which dressing I had ordered -- I don't know why, as the person asking did not bring the dressing either -- I had to ask another server. When my prime rib and Brussels sprouts arrived, I had difficulty cutting the prime rib with the steak knife provided. Also, the au jus was thin and almost flavorless (the meat itself was also pretty bland). Even after I added horseradish (the creamy sauce) it was not good. The sprouts were vastly over-salted to the point I couldn't eat them. As it was Christmas, and I could tell they were over-extended, I didn't send it back. I told the server I would join their club online (this was before we'd ordered anything more than drinks and cheese fries) because there would be no benefit to this specific meal, and it would cost me $25. I saw the same woman busing all the tables, so I left her a $5 bill under my napkin (wanted to make sure she got it). She obviously wasn't serving and thus may not get tips. I'm not joining their club. I'm not sure I want to go back. I don't think I could screw up that dinner so badly if I cooked it. The point was -- this Christmas I wouldn't have to cook. If they were going to struggle, they should not have accepted as many reservations as they did. This is greed on the part of management. I had dined there before and it was not this bad. However, as it was Christmas, they should be putting their best foot forward -- they were not. Insult to injury it is now 17 days later, after many, many phone calls and we just now received $173.18. Not even a full refund. Where is our $61.40? We supported you through covid. Today 08/22/2020 we went for my birthday (08-23-62) the food was awesome as usual, but the service was not so great notably the guy running the pass, he has doing hos job with his mask on his chin, not his nose uncovered but the mask on his chin.
