My wife and I vacation in Laughlin annually and eat dinner at Saltgrass Steak House once during every visit. We had a reservation for last evening. Our waiter, Omar, politely went throught the standard order taking which entailed entree, vegetable, soup or salad. We had a great meal as always UNTIL WE GOT OUR BILL. There was an added charge for a vegetable on the bill. When I brought this to Omar's attention, I was told that asparagus and sweet potato carried an extra charge. I told Omar that he did not mention this when taking our order and that a customer should be advised of additional charges at the time of ordering. The extra charge was not deducted from our bill. I am writing this review to let potential customers be aware of this tactic. We will not be going back to this restaurant during any future trips to Laughlin. read more

This is a tough review for me...the food is good. We really like going to Saltgrass as we feel it's the best place in town but tonight we observed something in the bar that just didn't seem right. The bartender set 5 seats aside so a party could sit together. That was fine except the party was not all present. We were told we could not sit in 3 seats reserved for the party of 5 that had not shown up. We were able to get two more seats a few minutes later but once we ordered and was almost done with our meal, finally the 3 others showed up. That was a complete waste of seating for paying customers. Didn't seem right to do that to other customers who were waiting for a seat at the bar. Maybe follow a rule of 10 minute wait and then if party not present, don't save the seats. So not cool. read more

This has to be the best food in the tristate area! It was super good and no wait on a Thursday night. Only issue was the seating. There were many booths open and they had over 10 parties in tiny little tables and chairs and arms lengths from each other. I would have liked to be spread out more, and we needed a bigger table. While my parents were upstairs gambling, my husband and I waited down in the bar area of the restaurant sipping on Dirty Tito Martinis. Our server was great. The rest of the experience not so much. REALLY overcooked pork chop received by one of our party after he asked them not to at time of order. It looked like he was sawing wood as he tried to cut through it. Less than enthusiastic response from supervisors/managers about it. Stopped in on New Year's eve at "Saltgrass restaurant" at the Golden Nugget, Laughlin. We tried it before on our last visit with not good results, so thought we'd give it a 2nd chance for our last meal of the year, heres the outcome... My man and I were seated quickly in the back by the window. Our waiter Josh was very nice suggested a few items. I took him up on his Jameson drink with tejin on the rim! Yumm, a must try. We wanted the pickle starter which were also good. I ordered the soup (tortilla) and a house salad. My guy ordered the pork chops with mash potatoes. The meals came out. The soup was hot but missing something, maybe just me, so I pushed it aside. The house salad was a good portion, delicious! My mans pork chops were tough. Josh was busy with a huge party but he returned sometime later, told about the pork chops and the manager quickly came over. First time here they had a tv where we sat so we were able to watch football. They also have a bar. They bring out bread to start with which was good and the butter was a little sweet. I ordered the 6oz filet mignon rare with loaded basked potato. It also came with a salad I got balsamic vinaigrette and it was so yummy. I loved my steak it was cooked perfectly as I like rare and the baked potato was great too. The wait to sit was not long and the waitress was very good nice sweet offered lots of suggestions. Just about everything was made in house when it came to the dressings, the bread, etc. I ordered the 9 Oz filet mignon and it was so buttery with a delicious flavor. My husband ordered the Texas T-bone and savored every bite. The drinks were refreshing - he ordered an old fashioned, I ordered their Southside 45. We come to Laughlin every few years and are always excited about coming to eat at this Restaurant. Our fist time here was about 10 years ago. Ribs would fall off the bone! We don't come every year, last time we came it was about 3 years ago or so, we noticed the ribs weren't as great but This time around they were mediocre, the ribs were not what we have had in the past. Let's say I can find ribs like this back in Cali just by going to Lucille's. What a disappointment, not worth the calories or the money spent. I mentioned it to my waiter and he said "no nothing has changed". He didn't care what I had to say, I wasn't looking to a discount but did want to be heard and he was more focused and looking at other tables instead of listening to what I had to say. He asked if I wanted boxes to go and I said no, I did not take my left over food to my dogs. If I had a restaurant I would want to know if my quality of food is changing good or bad. That way I fix it immediately for those retuning customers. Will need to find a new place to come back to next time, cause this is not IT anymore. I come all the way from Los Angeles, CA. I got a Landry's gift card for the holidays. I could of used it for the many places here in Los Angeles, but I saved it for here cuz I knew I'd be coming back to Laughlin. This is my new go to dinner spot on this side of the river. Average dinner plates were $20+. Both my friend and I got the 8oz top sirloin. One with baked potato and soup, One with sweet potato and salad. Steak was so tender! The only thing that disappointed was the plate sizing. As you see in my pics, the plate was huge and made the steaks look puny. Service was great since he was trying to sell us the membership until he saw my gift card and thought I was an employee. Then he apologized. But then I told him it was a gift card. Hmmm....
